Today the NSW State Government has announced its unintentionally ironic ‘Roadmap to Freedom’ which includes specific details as to what will be re-opening and for whom.
Among many other items of concern, there was a particular section that is alarming to me:
Weddings, funerals and places of worship (for fully vaccinated only):
– Up to 50 guests can attend weddings, with dancing permitted and eating and drinking only while seated.
– Up to 50 guests can attend funerals, with eating and drinking while seated.
– Churches and places of worship to open subject to one person per 4sqm rule, with no singing.
There will also be new rules for weddings and funerals, with up to 50 people permitted provided they are vaccinated. Churches can resume services, without singing, but must also enforce the the vaccination requirements and the 4 sq m rules”
We are opposed to the prohibition of singing which is a form of worship. We are also opposed to mandatory vaccination. The Bible teaches us that the Church and Christ’s love, extends to all races, all sexes, all identities and yes even the unvaccinated (modern lepers). Modern secularists have often refer to American Philosopher Thomas Jefferson for the ‘separation of Church and State’ without realising that the intention of Jefferson’s phrase was to separate Church FROM State.
In August Prime Minister Scott Morrison said “The vaccination service is free and it is not mandatory. That’s an important principle. We are not going to seek to impose a mandatory vaccination program by the government by stealth”. Was this a core promise or a non-core promise?
I am utterly opposed to any endeavours to make Covid-19 vaccination a mandatory requirement for Church attendance. I would question the legality of such a measure. To this effect, I am proud to support Sydney Solicitor Tony Nikolic who is challenging the legality of mandatory vaccines for NSW healthcare workers, our prayers are with him.
Please sign and share our petition to get the State out of our Churches.

At ACL, Aust Christian Lobby I believe that the boss Martyn Iles is a good man, unlike his predecessor Lyle Shelton (whom I met and knew well and I had doubts about him).
But it is a good trick of Satan or the KGB or the CIA or ‘whoever’ to stack around good people staff who are of a different mindset and loyalty than their bosses, including MPs. And I could give many examples, where I have evidence, not merely conjecture.
I note that this reply is not from Martyn Iles, who is THE boss.
But it is from a “communications officer”, who claims to make a dogmatic pronouncement of policy on behalf of Martyn Iles and the whole organisation!!
She quotes the distractionary furphy that vaccine issues should not divide the church
— therefore in the name of UNITY we are then meant, according to Niciole Goldup, to suppress truth. She even misquotes Romans 14
And so I decided to search the ACL website — there is NO mention of any policy re vaccination/coronavirus on it.
A chat dialogue box popped up asking if I had any query, so I typed in “Does ACL have a policy or view about coronavirus vaccines: dangers vs benefits? I am not upset if ACL does not have one, but if there is one, I would like to know about it.”
I got a reply, “we do not have any sort of literature about vaccine dangers adn benefits.
We encourage everyone to think for themselves, and to do their own research.
Our position is that the choice to take the vaccine or not is a conscience issue.” i.e. in other words ACL has NO position.
It is therefore a serious breach of ethics that the ‘communications officer’ has written a claim for an ACL policy position that s.
She has made a definitive POLICY pronouncement “We (i.e. ACL) support the vaccine rollout“
i.e. in other words, she claims that ACL is all in favour of the vaccines and can see no problems or hazards!!
Also by decrying debate or questions on this issue because it is “dividing the church” she is in effect putting on a guilt trip to stifle discussion and to get people to NOT think for themselves.
– in other words ‘dont argue’ — the quote in Romans 14 obviouslymeans verse 22 “keep it to yourself” i.e. do not ask questions.
And so she is participating in this bullying by Govts by repressing the asking of questions lest it “cause such division” in the church.
I have worked for six MPs (3 Canberra, 3 NSW) and 1990-97 was Community Relations Manager for the western region of the NSW Roads and Traffic Authority.
In those jobs I would not DARE to make a POLICY pronouncement
The honourable response from her to my having sent vaccine information should have been “ACL has no position on the issues you raise FULL STOP”
With friends like Nicole Goldup acting in this manner, ACL and Martyn Iles do not need enemies!! or perhaps she is one?
regards, Lex Stewart

DE JURE SANGUINIS CORONAE
KAP Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter has warned the Australian people that the persecution of Christianity is on the rise as Israel Folau again makes front page headlines for delivering a sermon in his church on Sunday which suggested the bushfires were a Divine repercussion of legalising same-sex marriage and abortions.
Mr Katter said, “I just toured with Pauline Hanson and we have some very fundamental differences but we work together for the good of the nation. I may disagree with Folau on some elements of theology and fundamentalism, but the intense persecution that he has been suffering to me is just continuation of the religious persecution that is taking place against Christianity almost everywhere in Australia.
“Is this any different to blaming the greenies for the fires? And is there any logic in the greenies blaming the people for the fires?
“They listen to the scientists with a different point of view, the scientists can argue, but theologists can’t. Clearly this man is a preacher and I don’t feel that a nation that kills little children before they are born is a good thing.”
“From where I sit, I’ve always voted for freedom in a society that is overly restrictive and there is no doubt that religious freedom is under attack here. And whether you agree with his comment or you don’t, rest assured they will come after you.
“They managed to take out Pell and Hollingsworth, and now they are going after the most prominent spokesperson for the Evangelic church.”
Mr Katter said that the history books tell of thousands of examples where the groups of people rose up against the persecution of their freedoms.
“Most of the world thought communism was good, even though Mao Tse Tung was responsible for 47,000 deaths and Stalin for 28,000 deaths. But we that belong to the English speaking tribe have prided ourselves on freedom of thought and expression and whilst we may attribute this to the German Martin Luther, and the Medici (who were also the Popes for nearly 70 years) Florentine family, both these people were characterised by Freedom of Thought. Tolerating and protecting even fanatics like Savonarola.
“Unfortunately for our enemies, history records that we Christians thrive on persecution. But even the most cursory reading of history will find that evil people don’t like being criticised for their evil – again, Stalin and Mae Tse Tung, McCarthyism, Salem witch burning, the Spanish Inquisition.
“People do not tolerate criticism or even people being different and not towing the conventional wisdom of the day.
“The great Thomas Jefferson said, ‘I do not agree often with what you are saying, but I will fight to the death for your right to say it”.
“Someone that puts moral convictions over his personal income, I find inspirational whether I agree with what he is saying or whether I don’t.”
Do not abuse ‘grace’
from Pastor Mel
A few years back this term “greasy grace” was frequently thrown about in the Christian community.
It referred to the idea of God’s grace being abused like the bloke who goes out willfully sinning during the week, gets forgiveness from the priest at confession and then he’s off again.
Abuse of grace is certainly warned against in the Bible e.g. “Live as free people, but do not use your freedom as a cover-up for evil; live as God’s slaves,” says 1Peter 2:16.
Similarly, Paul in Galatians 5:13 warns: “You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh; rather, serve one another humbly in love.”
The fact of the matter is we all fail as believers somewhere along the way, and we struggle to overcome bad habits, thoughts and actions, so we certainly need grace, which is central to Christian living.
Learning to live in that grace is a profound, ongoing spiritual experience, usually found when our focus is off ourselves and doing things to serve others, or when we are honest and open before God with our brokenness and seeking His help.
Until next time …

Biblical freedom = true freedom
We don’t need to lecture people who read Cairns News about the importance of freedom in Australia.
The Bible’s major themes are centred on the ideas of “freedom” and “liberty”, but diverge from popular ideas of freedom.
Many of us will know the story of Moses bringing the Hebrews out of slavery in Egypt or the famous words of the prophet Isaiah (61:1): “The Spirit of the Lord Jehovah is on Me; because Jehovah has anointed Me to preach the Gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound…”
Isaiah’s prophecy looks ahead to the ministry of Jesus, in physically and spiritually setting free the people of his time on earth and in the future.
Jesus confirmed this in John 8:35-36 in a heated confrontation with some unbelieving Israelites: “A slave is not a permanent member of the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. I know you are Abraham’s descendants, but you are trying to kill Me because My word has no place within you.…”
As we know, Jesus went on to suffer a cruel death at the hands of his countrymen and their Roman rulers, but rose again from death to life to reveal his power and confirm himself as the Son of God.
St Paul, the main persecutor of the early church who turned key witness for it, made the profound, big-picture statement in Romans 8:20-21 that the entire creation is destined for freedom: “The creation waits in eager expectation for the revelation of the sons of God. For the creation was subjected to futility, not by its own will, but because of the One who subjected it, in hope that the creation itself will be set free from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.”
The same St Paul also had much to say about freedom to the Galatian church that had come under the sway of Judaizers i.e. those Jews who wanted to impose legalistic, Pharisee-like practices on the church.
In Galatians 5:1 Paul states: “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.”
But most importantly, Paul underlines that freedom in Christ is not simply being free “to do what you like”. “For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” (5:13)
True freedom puts aside selfishness and takes a higher path where reward is neither sought nor expected but where love is exercised for the benefit of others.
SOLDOTNA, Alaska — A Satanic Temple member who won the right to open a regional Alaska government meeting declared “Hail Satan” during her first invocation, prompting about a dozen officials and attendees to walk out.
Tuesday’s invocation that started the meeting of the Kenai Peninsula Borough also spurred a protest outside the southern Alaska borough’s administration building that drew 40 people, The Peninsula Clarion newspaper reported .

Freedom of choice must be made; we the citizens have the right to Black Ban QANTAS for interfering with our democratic right of freedom of religious expression and belief. Our friends and family fought and died in wars for these freedoms and every Australian that honours what our Diggers fought for, and every Christian and other religious believer must now unite as an army of Freedom Fighters against QANTAS and refuse to use their business.
They wanted to use their financial power of sponsorship to destroy and discredit a decent man and the beliefs of millions of Australians, the people have stood behind Israel Folau to the back him with over $2 to fight for our combined freedom.
We reject the dictatorial attitude of QANTAS and their attempt to override freedom of speech and expression of religious beliefs. The entire QANTAS organisation, directors, management and staff are condemned by your unacceptable thin-skinned petty attack on our freedom. The company made the complaint, so it encompasses the entire organisation, not just one person, appearing that the complainant/s overrides the opinions and beliefs of all staff.
‘We The People’, will no long tolerate the noisy minorities of do-gooders, social engineers, bleeding hearts, professional victims, mixed genders and those of limited intelligence directing the agenda of out nation. It stops now, the people’s voice is behind Israel Folau and his beliefs of freedom of expression and the right to be heard, we will no longer tolerate the noisy rabbled overriding freedom or insulting what our diggers fought for.
Australia is the land of the free, if you do not like it please leave, feel free to migrate to China or North Korea.

from Pickering Post
It was always going to happen. Australians have for years and years been pushed and pushed. Told what to think and what not to think.
Thought control, brilliantly prophesied many years ago by George Orwell, has been slowly invading and taking root in the very fabric of Australian culture. Insidiously, powerfully and threateningly it has been sliding like a serpent in the grass past our ankles, often unnoticed.
This has been an invasion of a new order, not a physical invasion but a mental one. Australians are famous for their fighting spirit in the physical theatre of war, their bonds of mateship running deep, but mental war?
In mental war we are newcomers.
Political Correctness, one of the many forms of Communism, has been able to invade our entire culture and all our institutions. For years Australians have been bewildered, stuttering, defensive : “I’m not a racist”. Australians have been wholly inadequate against the ever encroaching evil of Political Correctness. Many still struggle to hold their ground. At physical warfare we are incredible. At mental warfare, not so much. Every organ in the Australian body is diseased with Political Correctness, or more deeply, Communism. People live with it, it is now “how things are”.
On an instinctive deeper level, there has been a deepening sense of violation.
It is fitting that a footballer is at the epicentre of the pushback, for football is central to Aussie culture. It is the fireside where Aussies warm their hearts, share and enjoy a sense of community. It needed to be a footballer and Israel Folau, by all accounts a very likable, decent, earnest, sincere man, was the one destiny chose. He now is the torchbearer for all who wish to push back Communistic invasion into our land .. the mental invasion that has been so little understood but deeply felt by all.
A QANTAS CEO, Communist-infected, attempted to punish Israel for having his own thoughts. Yes, there is always an excuse, but the deeper reality is Israel felt a heavy boot on his throat when living his life as we all do. If he breached any contract then that contract should never have existed. A homosexual, in defence of his own sexual practice, has no right on any level to big brother a man he has never met who is living his life in a totally normal way. Israel happens to be religious, were he not, the same applies.
What we are witnessing is a massive rejection of thought control, more deeply of Communism. Money is pouring in. More and more people are getting on board. Australian Rugby risks bankruptcy. Many media personalities who thought they ruled, had the upper hand, are feeling their real or imagined grip on Australia loosening. Australia is finding her very spirit. She is finally, in a half conscious state, throwing off Political Correctness, more deeply Communism. Many don’t fully understand what they are doing, it is more an instinctive act they feel they must carry out. A full, more lucid comprehension of what this is really all about will hopefully come later, but a great surge of anti-Communistic defiance is now well under way.
This is deeply needed for our country and could well inspire and give heart to other countries around the world currently riddled with Communistic invasion.
KAP Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter on Thursday afternoon questioned the Minister representing the Attorney General on the eradication of Christian moral grounding in Primary Schools across Australia.
“Attorney General, secularist attacks upon Christianity inundate – Nativity scenes gone. Star removed from Christmas trees. Now QLD’s government eradicates Christian moral teachings from schoolyards.
“Can we be assured that the replacement won’t be humanism to quote Lenin, “Communism’s father and mother, Stalin Mao 72m dead or Charles Darwin Adolf Hitler’s master race 26m dead?
“And that education in Australia tells of Pax Romanus replacing Roman tyranny. Bishop Langston’s Magna Carta, the abolition of slavery, the collapse of communism and history’s 6 greatest scientists all this from the carpenter preacher from Nazareth?”
The question is in response to a report auditing religious instruction curriculum in public schools issued by the Queensland Department of Education and Training which noted that “students should not be encouraged to evangelise to other students at school” and referenced that schools should “take appropriate action” if a student is found to be doing so.
Mr Katter said Judeo-Christian was the motivating force of some of the most prominent names in our history books.
“Pasteur, Newton, Einstein, Galileo, Mandell and Faraday all practiced Judeo-Christianity and the three great men of European history: Alfred the Great, Constantine and Charlemagne were all fathers of European Christianity”.
Mr Katter said Christian churches were being ridiculed and he was sick of sitting back and copping it by the humanists and the Darwinians.
“Let’s face our enemy squarely; the humanists and the Darwinians.
“We will stand as Christians on our record. Islam from Arabia executed 23,000 Christians in Aleppo while the Turkish Islam came back a century later and murdered 33,000 Christians. Arguably, the only time the Middle East knew peace was under the Crusaders.
“We make no apologies. We serve notice that we will not continue to cop persecution until they annihilate us”.
