Darwin University’s spokesman for intelligentsia, Hugh Davies thinks by shooting these introduced animals which he says are emitting greenhouse gas, communities could earn carbon credits.
It begs the question; how does Mr Hughes intend to remove the millions of tonnes of methane and carbon dioxide emissions from the vast areas of wetlands, swamps and lagoons of Arnhem Land and the Mary River region in the Top End?

Shooting buffalo is a question that has been posed by researchers at the University (CDU) who believe land managers could be incentivised to cull feral bovine if they could earn valuable carbon credits.
“Feral buffalo numbers are increasing across northern Australia, meaning their [methane] emissions are too,” CDU’s Hugh Davies said.
“So the whole idea of our research was that if we can keep their numbers under control we can avoid greenhouse gas emissions, potentially creating carbon credits, which can be sold to make money.”
He said one adult buffalo emitted about 78 kilograms of methane each year “which is the equivalent of over two tonnes of carbon dioxide”.
“If that buffalo wasn’t there that’s potentially two carbon credits generated,” he said.
The idea of culling feral animals for carbon credits is not new.
In 2013 the federal government knocked back a proposal to generate carbon credits from culling feral camels.
Buffalo industry cautious
Tom Dawkins from the NT Buffalo Industry Council said the industry first became aware of CDU’s research after it went public.
He said it was obvious a lot more research would be needed before governments would approve such a methodology, and he called on CDU to focus less on culling buffalo and more on removing them from the environment.
“The language [in this report] seems to be very narrow and specific around culling,” he said.
“We’d argue mustering is better than shooting, not just because you’re getting the dividend of an animal going to a supply chain, but you’re actually removing an animal from the landscape.
“Shoot to waste just leaves a carcass which decomposes, emitting methane in the process, and just creates a feed for feral pigs, which we don’t want either.”
Mr Dawkins also questioned whether large companies would want to purchase carbon credits generated from gunning down animals.
“I can’t see a scenario where the silver bullet solution to buffalo management in the Top End is culling,” he said.
“It opens roads up into remote areas whereas shooting animals from a helicopter doesn’t do any of that.”
More than 10,000 buffalo were exported out of Darwin last year to markets in South-East Asia, while about 6,000 buffalo were processed at the Rum Jungle abattoir south of Darwin.
It is estimated around 200,000 feral buffalo are roaming across northern Australia.
The Mimal Land Management Aboriginal Corporation, based at Bulman in Central Arnhem Land, has long been involved in the commercial harvesting of feral buffalo.
Each year the organisation removes between 2,500 to 4,000 animals.
“It returns a significant income to the people in this area,” Mimal chief executive Dominic Nicholls said.
The organisation already earns carbon credits through early-season fire abatement
Mr Nicholls said if carbon credits became available for culling buffalo then his organisation would definitely consider the environmental and economic opportunities of getting involved.
“If this [proposal] plays out it could have an important impact across northern Australia,” he said.
“But while we will explore and look at options like this, we’re going to keep doing what’s working — and that’s mustering.”
A sad ending for Cape York Peninsula

In response to queries made last year about shooting valuable cattle on Cape York Peninsula the letter(below) was recently received by Member for Traeger Robbie Katter from Environment Minister Meaghan Scanlon, a former Gold Coast solicitor.
Property owners asked the National Parks Service on what lawful basis did they shoot cattle running on unfenced national parks near their properties many of which are jointly managed with Aboriginal corporations.
At common law pastoralists can claim ownership of any cattle found on parts of the Peninsula. This stock simply did not appear from nowhere. Branded and unbranded cattle are the lawful chattels of pastoralists particularly after the entire Peninsula was officially declared stock free by the state government after a massive shoot out under the BTEC scheme completed in 1989. Pastoralists re-stocked their properties after the shootout. Only the Indigenous Land Corporation based in Canberra and pastoralists can lawfully claim cattle on Cape York today.
Unless pastoralists individually contracted with the NPWS allowing them to seize their stock, they cannot be lawfully killed.
The ILC controls several properties on the Peninsula which have been so poorly managed from afar the company is destocking these places and handing the land back to local Aborigines after the taxpayer spent many tens of millions of dollars buying these once viable cattle stations.
Local producers have slammed the ILC as a ‘bungling bureaucracy’ with no ability to manage these vast stations.
“They are destocking the Peninsula making way for a whopping big World Heritage wilderness zone to be jointly managed by NPWS and Aborigines,” said a pastoralist.
Permits and fees will be required from tourists or any others wanting access to places of interest on the vast Peninsula . The only access will be via the Peninsula Development Road. All tracks other than those servicing local communities will be closed to the public.
There are few pastoralists left on the Peninsula after the socialist state government whittled away private ownership over the past 25 years ostensibly handing properties to Aboriginal groups. Under Aboriginal freehold title these unfortunate Prescribed Body Corporations were conned by the Labor Party into believing they could again run stock and train their children to manage cattle.
The cruel Labor and Green bureaucrats dissected their new titles so intensively with environmental overlays and nature reserves there was insufficient land remaining on which to run cattle.
Instead they were left with more than half the land area of the 289,000 square klm Peninsula which they cannot utilise for any meaningful commercial pursuit. This vast area is home for an estimated one million feral pigs and many thousands of wild dogs.
On average 100,000 tourist vehicles visit the Cape every dry season. The Olkola Aboriginal Corporation based at former Dixie Station has the opportunity to introduce environmental tourism but were given little startup funding. Some rangers were allocated with federal funding however tourism hasn’t got off the ground in any meaningful way leaving the PBC to survive on limited government and private sponsorship and carbon credits.

* Cattle are managed in accordance with Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service (s ) Operational Policy for the Removal and disposal of stock on QPWS Protected Areas (Nature Conservation Act 1992).
* QPWS has been progressing a stock removal program from National Parks (Cape York Peninsula Aboriginal Land (CYPAL)) since 2013.
* Neighbours were provided with the opportunity to claim any cattle remaining on CYPAL and were issued permits to remove their cattle during October to November 2018.
* Cattle remaining on CYPAL after prescribed dates are considered abandoned seized property and can be dealt with by the Chief Executive in line with the policy.
* Should it be required the final phase of all cattle management strategies is the humane destruction of any residual feral cattle to prevent them from building up numbers within the park.
* For CYPAL this humane control of cattle commenced in 2020 with the annual feral animal program enabling the targeting of cattle in addition to the other species routinely being managed – being pigs, cats and horses.
* Neighbours are advised of QPWS operations prior to commencement of aerial shoots.
* Neighbours are still able to access stock muster permits to retrieve their cattle from CYPAL should stock stray onto national park when fences are damaged.
* This policy was implemented in 2014 and formally recognises cattle as a pest on national parks, and enables a stepped out transparent and fair process to all neighbours to retrieve their stock from national parks while supporting the conservation values the lands are protected for.
* Individual cattle management strategies have been successfully implemented by QPWS&P on a number of jointly managed national parks (CYPAL) as well as elsewhere in Queensland.
* Following a number of neighbouring property stock relinquishments (to the State to enable control) on the park, QPWS also seized cattle on Oyala Thumotang National Park (CYPAL) in August 2018 as part of the agreed cattle management strategy.

Creepy Joe’s Climate Summit exposed the US loopy left pandering to the green left media zeitgeist
Biden held his big climate summit on Thursday and Friday where he embarrassed the United States. He was the only one of the world leaders who participated remotely to wear a face-mask, the new symbol of his radically authoritarian party.
Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison took part in the gabfest.
During the event the nation’s 46th president laid out his extreme agenda, vowing to reduce 52% of “greenhouse gas” emissions in less than a decade.
Although Biden was vague on the details, experts quoted by the Daily Mail warned that such a plan would brutalize taxpayers, force a move to electric cars (despite their questionable feasibility), and demand that Americans comply with dietary restrictions. The plan would prohibit the consumption of red meat in excess of a minuscule amount mandated by the one-party government and their globalist allies.
Hence the big buy-up of American farmland by Bill Gates who is trying to stop beef production to replace it with his patented synthetic soy beef produced by soybeans grown on his farms.
It is a sad example of how far that the media has fallen when it takes an Australian journalist to call such ideas out as lunacy. Chris Kenny of Sky News showed that the emperor has no clothes with an epic scourging of the pathetic US leadership.
“Welcome to the loopy-left era of Joe Biden. Where climate policies are apparently about existential alarmism.”
According to Kenny, “Last night we saw yet another climate summit. Another global gathering of world leaders parading their virtue, making grand promises, playing to the green left media zeitgeist, and never being accountable for any of their promises or actions,” he said. “The only difference this time is that they didn’t jump on their private jets and fly thousands of people at great expense producing hundreds of tons of greenhouse gas emissions to have their talk fast. No, this time they did it by Zoom and yes, there were glitches.”
He continued, “And yet while the weather bureau can’t forecast 24 hours ahead, and bureaucrats can’t run a Zoom chat, these world leaders and the climate activists they pander to, tell us they do know what will happen to the climate decades from now, and even better, they know how to control it.”
He correctly pointed out that little is done to reign in the planet’s biggest polluter: “Even while they agree that the country that has by far the largest carbon footprint, China, can be allowed to continue to dramatically increase its emissions.” And don’t expect any pressure on a country that has it’s own footprint in the White House and virtually owns all of Corporate America.
Kenny added, “Now many of you will agree with me that in large part this alarmist and self-delusional attitude is nutty and deserves to be called out. But some of you will believe the spin that this is a rational response to the light of science. Well let me disavow you of this because you are about to hear from a person the U.S. put on this summit panel. Forty world leaders supposedly addressing serious scientific, economic, and policy issues and we got this: a New York-based Mexican teenager talking about mother Earth no less.”
He was referring to 19-year-old Xiye Bastida who was introduced by the feckless Secretary Of State Antony Blinken. Blinken’s credibility vanished the minute that he had his ass handed to him by the Chinese at the ballyhooed Anchorage talks earlier this month. It is simply astounding that Biden would sign off on a travesty like this.

It has been revealed that her energy minister Matt Kean, fresh from legislating his green new deal to close all coal-fired power in NSW, is giving $10 million of taxpayer money to a Chinese Communist Party-controlled company to build windmills.
Bayswater power station near Muswellbrook in NSW to be one of the state’s coal fired power stations which will be closed down in favour of CCP wind turbines?
That’s right. As the CCP shores-up its strength by building 100 new coal-fired power stations, Kean is paying the CCP to weaken Australia with expensive and unreliable wind power.
Kean and Berejiklian want to close down the remaining coal-fired power stations in the Hunter Valley and replace them with CCP-made wind turbines which only serve to hike the price of electricity and make it unreliable.
NSW Upper House MP Mark Latham spills the beans on a treacherous plan by NSW Liberals to shut down coal fired power causing the loss of hundreds of jobs and weakening the state’s power supply.

Juan explains how they work in more detail: “There’s a military/security aspect to this that had to be there…which is the threat from Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles (ICBMs)…even from a rogue is real and you can’t get this material up 15 minutes before an attack, you have to have it there all the time and…it’s getting fine particulates into the upper atmosphere…in that 32-, 34,000-foot range…it goes out as this mist in the jet fuel vapor and then, as it disperses and you’ll see it rolling out after the plane is long gone, ten, fifteen minutes later and you’re looking at an area that’s a mile wide and it’s this dispersed cloud.
“The fuel disperses and evaporates away and you can actually see it from satellites, if you know what you’re looking for, in this dispersed fuel, you can see it in the infrared signatures and like that. It helps to patch up the ozone, in that zone where ozone’s created and that’s 29-, 33,000-foot zone.
“And then, those particulates are able to be pumped by the way that we send signals into that area and we can move the air, move the atmosphere move the moisture in particular ways and then in an emergency, we can concentrate certain types of frequencies in that area, resonate those particles – vibrate them, essentially at a very high speed and they act like a very… thin shield that … simulates a higher density…

Juan’s statements are a fascinating confirmation of the report I wrote in March 2011 about AC Griffiths, who blew the whistle on this technology on the Power Hour radio show, hosted by the late Joyce Riley. Griffiths said it was a Black Budget program that was originally planned during the Reagan administration’s Strategic Defense Initiative (again, confirmed here by Juan) and that it was among the most “secretive things” that he had ever encountered.
It was code named “Project Cloverleaf” and it was being run out of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, from where he says it was being largely farmed-out to commercial aviation companies.
One wonders if COVID’s destruction of the airline industry has thereby made us less safe from incoming ICBMs – and if this is on purpose?

The climate change hoax has collapsed. A devastating series of research papers has just been published, revealing that human activity can account for no more than a .01°C rise in global temperatures, meaning that all the human activity targeted by radical climate change alarmists — combustion engines, airplane flights, diesel tractors — has virtually no measurable impact on the temperature of the planet.
Finnish scientists spearheaded the research, releasing a paper entitled, “No Experimental Evidence for the Significant Anthropogenic Climate Change.”
The paper explains that IPCC analysis of global temperatures suffers from a glaring error — namely, failure to account for “influences of low cloud cover” and how it impacts global temperatures. Natural variations in low cloud cover, which are strongly influenced by cosmic radiation’s ability to penetrate Earth’s atmosphere due to variations in the strength of our planet’s magnetosphere, account for nearly all changes in global temperature, the researchers explain.
Cloud cover actually cools the Earth
As this chart reveals, more cloud cover is inversely related to temperature. In other words, clouds shield the surface of the Earth from the sun, providing shade cover cooling, while a lack of clouds results in more warming:

This is further supported by researchers at Kobe University in Japan who published a nearly simultaneous paper that reveals how changes in our planet’s magnetic field govern the intensity of solar radiation that reaches the lower atmosphere, causing cloud formation that alters global temperatures.hat study, published in Nature, is called, “Intensified East Asian winter monsoon during the last geomagnetic reversal transition.”
It states: Records of suborbital-scale climate variation during the last glacial and Holocene periods can be used to elucidate the mechanisms of rapid climate changes… At least one event was associated with a decrease in the strength of the Earth’s magnetic field. Thus, climate records from the MIS 19 interglacial can be used to elucidate the mechanisms of a variety of climate changes, including testing the effect of changes in geomagnetic dipole field strength on climate through galactic cosmic ray (GCR)-induced cloud formation…
In effect, cosmic rays which are normally deflected via the magnetosphere are, in times of weak or changing magnetic fields emanating from Earth itself, able to penetrate further into Earth’s atmosphere, causing the formation of low-level clouds which cover the land in a kind of “umbrella effect” that shades the land from the sun, allowing cooling to take place. But a lack of clouds makes the surface hotter, as would be expected.
This natural phenomenon is now documented to be the primary driver of global temperatures and climate, not human activity.
Burn all the oil you want, in other words, and it’s still just a drop in the bucket compared to the power of the sun and other cosmic influences. All the fossil fuel consumption in the world barely contributes anything to actual global temperatures, the researchers confirmed.
As they explain, the IPCC’s climate models are wildly overestimating the influence of carbon dioxide on global temperatures:…the [IPCC] models fail to derive the influences of low cloud cover fraction on the global temperature. A too small natural component results in a too large portion for the contribution of the greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide. That is why J. KAUPPINEN AND P. MALMI IPCC represents the climate sensitivity more than one order of magnitude larger than our sensitivity 0.24°C. Because the anthropogenic portion in the increased CO2 is less than 10%, we have practically no anthropogenic climate change. The low clouds control mainly the global temperature.
The entire ‘climate change’ hoax is a fraud
Carbon dioxide, in other words, isn’t the “pollutant” that climate change alarmists have long claimed it to be. CO2 won’t destroy the planet and barely has any effect on global temperatures (the IPCC’s estimate of its effect is, according to Finnish researchers, about one order of magnitude too large, or ten times the actual amount).
In fact, NASA was forced to recently admit that carbon dioxide is re-greening the Earth on a massive scale by supporting the growth of rainforests, trees and grasslands. See these maps showing the increase in green plant life, thanks to rising CO2:
Importantly, reducing our global consumption of fossil fuels will have virtually no impact on global temperatures. The far bigger governor of climate and temperatures is the strength and configuration of Earth’s magnetosphere, which has always been in flux since the formation of the planet billions of years ago. The weaker the magnetosphere, the more cosmic rays penetrate the atmosphere, resulting in the generation of clouds, which shield the planet’s surface from the sun. Thus, a weaker magnetosphere causes global cooling, while a stronger magnetosphere results in global warming, according to this research. This phenomenon is called the “Svensmark Effect.”
This suggests that the increase in cosmic rays was accompanied by an increase in low-cloud cover, the umbrella effect of the clouds cooled the continent, and Siberian high atmospheric pressure became stronger. Added to other phenomena during the geomagnetic reversal — evidence of an annual average temperature drop of 2-3 degrees Celsius, and an increase in annual temperature ranges from the sediment in Osaka Bay — this new discovery about winter monsoons provides further proof that the climate changes are caused by the cloud umbrella effect.
The “war on carbon” is derived from sheer stupidity, arrogance and scientific illiteracy
The extreme alarmism of climate change lunatics — best personified by Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’ insistence that humanity will be destroyed in 12 years if we don’t stop burning fossil fuels — is all based on nothing but fearmongering media propaganda and faked science. (The IPCC and NOAA both routinely fudge temperature data to try to create a warming “trend” where none exists.)
It’s all a massive, coordinated fraud, and the mainstream media deliberately lies to the public about climate change to push anti-free market schemes that would destroy the U.S. economy while transferring literally trillions of dollars into the pockets of wealthy globalists as part of a “carbon tax” scheme.
Yet carbon isn’t the problem at all. And the “war on carbon” is a stupid, senseless policy created by idiots, given that humans are carbon-based lifeforms, meaning that any “war on carbon” is a war on humanity.

Nothing new with warming oceans and heatwaves
The Arctic Ocean is warming up, icebergs are growing scarcer and in some places the seals are finding the water too hot according to a report to the Commerce Department yesterday from the Consulate at Bergen, Norway.
Reports from fishermen, seal hunters and explorers all point to a radical change in climate conditions and hitherto unheard of temperatures in the Arctic zone.
Exploration expeditions report that scarcely any ice has been met as far north as 81 degrees 29 minutes.
Soundings to a depth of 3,100 metres showed the gulf stream still very warm.
Great masses of ice have been replaced by moraines of earth and stones, the report continued, while at many points well known glaciers have entirely disappeared.
Very few seals and no white fish are found in the eastern Arctic, while vast shoals of herring and smelts which have never before ventured so far north, are being encountered in the old seal fishing grounds.
Within a few years it is predicted that due to the ice melt the sea will rise and make most coast cities uninhabitable.
SORRY I neglected to mention that this report was from November 2, 1922, as reported by the AP and published in The Washington Post 98 years ago.
Today climate change scientist seem to think it was caused by the Model T Ford emissions or possibly horse and cattle carbon farts.
Heat waves in Australia are nothing new and official records show it was hotter in 1896
What we today call official records started in 1910. If we think this summer has been hot how about a 24-DAY heatwave on Australia’s east coast in January 1896 that saw temperatures climb to 49 degrees and killed 437 people.
The maximum temperature was above 38.9C for over three weeks!
In January 1896 a savage blast “like a furnace” stretched across Australia from east to west and lasted for weeks. The death toll reached 437 people in the eastern states. Newspaper reports showed that in Bourke the heat approached 120°F (48.9°C) on three days. The maximum at or above 102 degrees F (38.9°C) for 24 days straight. By Tuesday Jan 14, people were reported falling dead in the streets.
Unable to sleep, people in Brewarrina walked the streets at night for hours, the thermometer recording 109F at midnight. Overnight, the temperature did not fall below 103°F.
On Jan 18 in Wilcannia, five deaths were recorded in one day, the hospitals were overcrowded and reports said that “more deaths are hourly expected”.
By January 24, in Bourke, many businesses had shut down (almost everything bar the hotels). Panic stricken Australians were fleeing to the hills in climate refugee trains.
As reported at the time, the government felt the situation was so serious that to save lives and ease the suffering of its citizens they added cheaper train services.

The hottest day was not in 2019, but 1828 at a blistering 53.9 °C. Back before man-made climate change was frying Australia, when CO2 was around 300ppm, the continent savoured an ideal pre-industrial climate…. RIGHT? This is the kind of climate we are spending $10bn per annum to get back to … Right again? We are told today’s climate has more records and more extremes than times gone by, but the few records we have from the early 1800s are eye-popping.
Things were not just hotter, but so wildly hot it burst thermometers. The earliest temperature records we have show that Australia was a land of shocking heatwaves and droughts, except for when it was bitterly cold or raging in flood. In other words, nothing has changed, except possibly things might not be quite so hot now!
State governments have instructed various meteorological bureaus to delete the historical heat wave data and records which killed many NSW residents in 1896. In 1828 the young country copped a blistering 53.9C heat wave long before the CO2 deniers started their lying campaign.

Did government agents light some of the multitude of fires?
The recent bush fires in New South Wales were deliberately lit in order to promote the idea that ‘climate change’ is the threat which caused them and that Australia therefore needs to enact policy to deal with ‘climate change’ so as to prevent further devastation.
It’s irrelevant who was caught lighting the fires, even if they were youths. These are third party intermediaries used for plausible deniability. The Australian government is behind the deliberate lighting of these fires.
Look at the flare up in the Jewish-controlled media linking the fires to ‘climate change’. It’s obvious. First, schoolchildren in Australia protested about ‘climate change’ and that fell flat. Then Greta Thunberg travelled to the United Nations in a yacht to protest about ‘climate change’ and that fell flat because nobody wants to be lectured by a sixteen year old girl being fed a bunch of lines by adult propagandists.
Climate change nonsense is finally wearing off Queenslanders after seeing how the George Soros asset, Greta Thumberg and her well rehearsed performance left parents worried their children might end up like her.
So, the people who want policy to be enacted in Australia regarding ‘climate change’ said to each other, “They ignored the schoolchildren. They even ignored Greta! Let’s give them something they can’t ignore.”
Australian citizens voted Liberal over Labor at the last federal election because they didn’t want the action on ‘climate change’ that Labor was promoting. The majority think that ‘carbon dioxide-driven climate change’ is a fraud, like I do. (Carbon dioxide exists in the earth’s atmosphere at less than 400 parts per million, which is less than 1 part per 2,500, so it doesn’t influence the climate to any appreciable extent.) Australians voted the Liberal Party into federal government at the last federal election earlier this year because it’s the lesser of two very bad evils. Scott Morrison is an appalling Prime Minister but Bill Shorten would have been twice as bad.
The Liberal Party pretends to be opposed to action on ‘climate change’ when it actually supports it and wants it. It knows that the majority of Australian citizens don’t trust the ‘climate change’ agenda, so it’s pretended to adopt the same mistrust in order to win their support. Therefore, if it’s going to be successful enacting policy on ‘climate change’, it needs to resort to indirect methods of lobbying the citizenry, such as deliberately lighting bush fires and then relying on the media to push the narrative that ‘climate change’ is the reason for the fires. The Liberal Party wants to end up in a position in which it is seen as having no choice but to enact policy to deal with ‘climate change’, since ‘climate change’ has become universally recognised as a threat by the citizenry due to high-impact incidents like the bush fires in New South Wales.
The Liberal Party supports action on ‘climate change’ because its allegiance is to the Rothschilds-led synagogue of Satan that needs action on ‘climate change’ in countries around the world in order to provide an excuse for establishing world government ruling over various unions around the world like the European Union, the African Union and the South American Union. There is a planned Asia Pacific Union including China, India and Australia, as well as other Asian countries. There is also a planned North American Union including the United States of America, Canada and Mexico. ‘Climate change’ is the fabricated threat to the entire world which the synagogue of Satan will claim, can only be properly addressed with common policies and methodologies enforced and implemented by world government.
The Rothschilds-led synagogue of Satan has been pushing the fraudulent ‘climate change’ agenda in earnest since 2008 and it’s had this issue on the boil for the past three decades and longer.
Greens godfather Bob Brown’s opposition to coal mining helped the LNP win the election
Burning forests to generate electricity is probably the worst green energy stupidity. It destroys forests, creates its own pollutants, is less efficient than coal to harvest, handle and burn and has a low heat value. If all factors are counted, it will take decades of forest regrowth to match the CO2 emissions of burning high-energy coal.

Most coal-fired power stations are built on a coal field with reserves to last the life of the power station. The coal is mined efficiently, the fuel is of known quality and sizing and efficient repetitive methods are used to extract and prepare the coal and convey it continuously into the power station.
The most infamous wood-burning power station in the world is DRAX in Britain. It burns more wood than UK produces and more than any other station in the world. It gets huge subsidies for felling forests as far away as America, then chipping and drying the wood and transporting pellets across the Atlantic. Every step on the way causes large emissions of CO2, but these are conveniently ignored in the mindless war on coal.
Australia’s greenie godfather, Bob Brown, became famous for stopping construction of green-energy dams in Tasmania. Then he helped the LNP win the recent federal election by opposing coal mining in Queensland’s Galilee Basin. And recently he revealed himself as just another NIMBY (not in my backyard) in opposing a proposed wind power project in his homeland, Tasmania. Why not oppose them everywhere, Bob?
Bob should also look into another green energy abomination – bio-fuels. Surely he does not support burning forest to generate electricity or growing huge cultivated tracts of corn, palm oil or sugar beet and calling them biofuel for motor cars?
If Greens want to reduce life-supporting CO2 (a foolish goal), they should be building houses out of old growth forest, not burning it. Then replant the mature milled trees with young trees that will grow much faster than old trees and burn the sawdust in power plants or use it to make compost.
