There are 1.8 million people looking for work in Australia; immigration rate is unsustainable

by the ABC and Cairns News

Net migration of 245,400

Australia’s immigration rate has become unsustainable now that 1000 additional people entered the country each day up to June 2017.

Treasurer Scott Morrison is correct when he says there were 371,000 new jobs created over the past year.

Australia’s population swelled by 388,000 in the year until June — which is more than 1,000 people being added to our population every day.

However, it doesn’t necessarily make life any better for the people who live in the country and arguably, makes it a lot worse.

This is more people competing for jobs and housing, pushing down wages and pushing up property prices.

Australia’s population growth is extraordinarily high when compared to our global peers, at 1.6 per cent per year.

This is more than double the rate of the US, nearly three times the rate of the UK, and four times the rate of France.

On current projections, Australia will hit 38 million people by 2050.

This high rate of population growth is driven mostly by high immigration.

Middle Eastern migrants are piling on to the dole queue — with a 33 per cent jobless rate during their first five years in Australia. The Labor, Liberals and Greens are doing what that Fabian sycophant Bob Hawke did in the 80’s – importing potential voters

Net migration was 245,400 people over the past 12 months — which was a 27.1 per cent increase over the year before.

That’s more than the total population of Hobart in new migrants coming to the country in a single year.

Worse still, a large number of the migrants indentify as Muslim, unbalancing the nation’s Christian foundation and way of life.

The simple economic rule of supply and demand means these new workers effectively lower the price of labour, which means lower wages.

A huge intake of new workers makes economic sense if you don’t have enough workers in order to do the jobs you need to get done. But with 700,000 in the unemployment ranks already, we simply don’t need these migrants.

Immigration has been the foundation of Australia’s economic growth, so what would happen if we “close the door”? questions Ian Verrender.

It also makes sense to run a real skilled migration program in order to attract the talent you can’t train yourself.

For example, at the height of the mining investment boom, attracting talent from overseas made sense in many occupations to allow projects to be built.

Although be careful when talking about ‘skill shortages’. Often it isn’t a case of there not being enough people with those skills.

Instead, it’s a case of businesses not being willing to pay enough money to attract people and thus choosing to sponsor foreigners who will work for worse pay and conditions arriving on 457 and holiday visas.

Then to add insult to injury the Liberal Party Government slapped those back packers and overseas workers with a 15 per cent income tax. Previously they worked in the farming industry without paying any tax at all.

Farmers objected strongly saying crops would be left in paddocks to rot, because the majority backpacker workforce would not come to Australia for a working holiday on farms.

Consequently a group representing foreign backpackers has taken the government to court over what it says is an unfair tax.

Raw deal for Australian workers, where are the unions and the ALP?

Australia is not currently anywhere near full employment.

At 5.4 per cent unemployment, Australia is well above the US which is sitting at 4.1 per cent and the UK at 4.2 per cent.

There are currently 707,000 unemployed Australians. These are people actually looking for work.

But that’s only part of the story as there are currently about 1.1 million Australians who are ‘underemployed’.

These are people who are currently working (perhaps as little as one hour a week) but want to work more hours.

So the number of Australians currently looking for more work is 1.8 million.

There is still a huge amount of ‘slack’ in the labour market which is keeping people from getting a decent pay rise.

Companies are much less likely to offer big pay rises to workers if they know there’s a big supply of other workers who are desperate for a job or more hours.

What’s really worrying, is despite the Government crowing about creating ‘1,000 jobs a week’, there are only 20,000 less unemployed Australians than there were a year ago.

The economic ‘growth’ hasn’t made a sizeable difference to the amount of Australians unemployed and has left us with the worst wages growth since the 1960s.

Overseas travellers will need iris scan, facial recognition and fingerprints to leave Australia

BRING ON THE NATIONAL ID CARD

Australia is maintaining its ‘guinea pig’ status for the world by enforcing facial recognition and iris ID scans for its citizens, aided and abetted by the Liberal Party. If it works other countries will follow.

We suggest you contact Immigration Minister Peter Dutton’s office and tell him you will not participate in such draconian ID measures

New technology will mean many travellers will soon not need to present their passports when entering or leaving Australia.

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection is seeking tenders for a self-processing system to be introduced later this year.

The Liberal and National Parties will make you take facial recognition, iris scans and fingerprints before you are allowed to leave Australia. This is in line with the final Chapter, Revelation found in your Holy Bible. Will you comply?

The system will use fingerprints, iris or facial structure recognition at major air and sea ports.

Immigration Minister Peter Dutton said the aim was for more than 90 per cent of passengers to avoid paperwork or manual processing by staff.

“In many cases that will mean people, whilst they’ll still have to carry their passport, may not have to present their passport at all in the long term,” Mr Dutton said.

“But in the immediate term, this will make it easier, it will make it quicker, for people going in and out of our airports.”

Mr Dutton said the $78 million upgrade would also boost security at the nation’s borders by making it easier to detect threats.

“Already we know from the money we’ve invested into biometrics collections that that is a much more reliable collection than we have with people just scanning manually passports,” he said.

“So there is the ability through this technology to improve detections of people that might be coming into our country to do the wrong thing.”

Mr Dutton said cutting down processing times for travellers was also likely to boost tourism.

He said the government was keeping an open mind as to what technology may be used as it sought tenders.

Tens of thousands of Islamics overrun Europe, white British a minority

“King Malcolm sanctions the Islamic  invasion of Australia”

Thousands of Islamics to populate regional Queensland and other states

Federal Government has approved the import of 12,000 refugees from war-torn Syria

This is what the Greens, ALP and LNP will subject Australia to if we don’t vote them out at a State and Federal level. Already plans have been made, without your knowledge or consent, to send several thousand Islamics to live across regional Queensland in empty Housing Commission homes, vacated mining accommodation and empty homes created by the mining downturn.

Regional councils are bracing themselves for the Syrian influx that will impact upon your everyday life forever. Watch the video showing how white Britains are now a minority their own country.

Watch how dozens of women and children are raped and assaulted on a daily basis across Germany and the remainder of Europe.

Law and order has been surpassed by vicious mob rule. Tell the political parties you do not want this fanatical invasion in your back yard! Ask the UN puppets of the ALP, Greens and LNP how we the people will be able to pay to house and feed these fanatics!

Katter calls for cut to mass migration – visas to be in line with job creation

Federal Member for Kennedy Bob Katter has this week called for a cut to ‘mass migration’ and for visas to be limited to one-half of the jobs generated annually in Australia, launching an online petition on the steps of Parliament House with members of the Jewish and Sikh communities, David Adler and Amar Singh.

“For me this started off as an issue about the economy, but if there was any doubt in my mind that we shouldn’t be moving aggressively on this issue, then recent events reinforce that,” Mr Katter said.

“Social Services Minister Christian Porter has said that welfare is exploding and that it will rise from $157bn a year (a quarter the Federal budget) to $277bn a year (nearly half the Federal budget) within a decade.

“But he hasn’t said where the explosion is coming from – well I’m pinning the tale on the donkey.

“There are over 620,000 visas being issued in Australia each year but there are only 200,000 jobs created.  On top of that there are around 200,000 school leavers and young people seeking jobs (not including tourist visas).

“That means that over 800,000 people are chasing only 200,000 jobs.

“The visa entrants are almost all from low wage countries, they therefore will get preference over Australians, so it is Australians that are forced onto welfare queues.”

But Mr Katter was concerned to ensure that persecuted minorities were not excluded from migration numbers.

“We need to have an immigration policy that allows for persecuted minorities, such as the Sikhs, where 80,000 were murdered in India in just one year.

“An attack upon people peacefully going to Church (a Synagogue) last weekend, police raids on terrorists in Sydney just this week and three people murdered by terrorists this year – is absolute proof of the failure of mass migration.”

Mr Katter said that the failure of Arab countries to take in refugees was also a telling sign.

“Saudi Arabia, Iran, UAE, Kuwait and arguably other Arab countries have taken no refugees in the current crisis, yet countries like France have foolishly taken in large numbers.”

Mr Katter’s petition states that the maximum quota of visas for people coming into Australia should be one-half of the jobs generated annually (outside of backpackers and tourism).  This would mean a drop in the number of people coming to Australia from over 650,000 to around 100,000 per year.

GILLARD/RUDD LET 120,000 ILLEGALS FLY IN

Thursday, 7th August 2014

Larry Pickering

Four-time Walkley Award winning political commentator and Churchill Fellow, recently returned to the fray over concern that news sources are being threatened by the Gillard Government.

GILLARD/RUDD LET 120,000 ILLEGALS FLY IN

In an astonishing Fairfax report, compiled from freedom of information documents, an estimated 120,000 illegal entrants flew into Australia between the years 2008 and 2013… and they remain here on fake passports and false documents.

The majority of illegal fly-ins are on fraudulent student visas and work permits and they departed mostly from Middle Eastern hot spots, including Afghanistan, under the auspices of people smugglers.

Perhaps Sarah Hanson-Young might be convinced to call these people illegal immigrants? Hmmm, no. Sarah will shed another tear while she describes them as more desperate refugees escaping persecution.

The SMH complains that. “… they arrive unchecked while the Government focuses on stopping boats.”

In a comprehensive lead article not once is it mentioned that illegal arrivals on both boats and planes began and continued under the Gillard/Rudd regime.

Fairfax continues, “The confidential Immigration Department files reveal repeated internal warnings over several years that widespread visa fraud is ‘business as usual’ yet remains largely untreated because the department’s investigation and enforcement capacity had collapsed.

“… an internal inquiry into Afghan visa applicants in 2012 assessed that more than 90 per cent of cases contained fraud of some type and raised people smuggling, identity fraud, suspected child trafficking and national security implications.

“Also, a 2010 report reveals that immigration investigators had uncovered a Somali people-smuggling cell in Melbourne linked to terrorist suspect Hussein Hashi Farah, who ‘is believed to have links to the al-Qaeda offshoot al-Shabab’ and who fled Kenyan counterterrorism officials using an Australian passport in 2010.

“But the departmental file shows that a 2009 investigation into the cell’s activities was deemed low priority and ceased due to a lack of resources”. Hmmm, 2009? Again no mention of the responsible Government of K. Rudd.

* “Tens of thousands of immigration fraudsters living freely after being assisted by migration crime networks exploiting weaknesses in working, student, family and humanitarian visa programs, including loopholes that have left the department sometimes ‘generating the fraud’.

* “The (immigration) department is ‘responsible for granting a record number of student visas to people who may not be considered genuine students as well as granting permanent residence to skilled migration applicants who do not have the appropriate skills being claimed.

* “In 2013, department chiefs were warned in a confidential report that the agency’s investigations arm had collapsed, risking the integrity of its programs and ultimately national security.”

Hmmm, let me think, I’m almost certain that was under the Gillard Government.

Fairfax continues, “A 2010 report into a Somali people-smuggling network stated that despite evidence pointing to multiple breaches of the Criminal Code Act and the Migration Act, the department had secured only one minor prosecution. Media attention and three PMQs [prime minister briefings] on this issue have not been enough for the government to address this situation, the immigration file states.

“Another 2010 report states that evidence uncovered to date indicates that fraud within the General Skilled Migration program is extensive with estimates at around 90 per cent [or] more than 40,000 suspect visa applications lodged per year for the last three years.”

And still no mention of the culpable governments of Gillard’s or Rudd’s.

Oh well, I guess that’s our culpable Fairfax.
