Greta Thunberg picked up at a German coal mine protest. Looks like she is enjoying it.
Climate change is all about robbing the planet by transferring your tax dollars to kleptocrats abroad
by Jim Rickards
Showing that the Green New Deal is actually the Green New Scam has always been easy.
All you have to do is refer to scientific facts rather than pseudo-science and phony models. Then you’re on the right track.
For example, did you know that polar bear populations have tripled in recent years and some countries are considering allowing a polar bear hunt?
That’s quite a contrast to the last lonely polar bear swimming for a melting piece of drift ice in Al Gore’s 2006 book and movie An Inconvenient Truth.
Did you know that the climate models used by the UN can’t even backtest correctly with actual data let alone forecast with speculative data?
Did you know that CO2 is not a pollutant? It’s actually plant food and we could use more of it if we really want a green planet.
Did you know that hurricanes, tornados and blizzards are neither more frequent nor more severe than in past decades?
Did you know that forest fires in California are caused by gross mismanagement of forests rather than climate?
This list goes on, but you get the point.
Most of the data thrown around by climate alarmists are either false or not nearly as troubling as it sounds when put in an empirical context.
To the extent the climate does change over time, it has nothing to do with CO2 and methane and much more to do with sunspots, ocean currents, volcanoes, the jet stream and other natural forces we cannot control.
That much is easy.
The difficult part in my mind has always been, why?
Why do so many elites and other supposedly smart people repeat scientific garbage ad nauseum to hypnotize large populations who lack the data or skills needed to tear the alarmist claims apart?
At the recent climate summit conference held in the luxury resort of Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt called COP27, the parties agreed to transfer over $230 billion to poorer countries as “climate reparations” for damage supposedly done by wealthy nations.
Never mind that the delegates mostly arrived by private jets that spew more CO2 in a few hours than an automobile does in years.
Never mind that the largest polluter in the world, China, will not be contributing to the fund.
Never mind that the entire basis for claims of damage from CO2 emissions is bogus.
None of this can be allowed to stand in the way of the agenda.
The entire green new scam is just a device to transfer wealth from rich western nations to poor nations all over the world.
It’s a financial hijacking conducted by people who hate America and love wealth transfers to socialist and corrupt nations around the world.
That’s the dirty little secret behind the climate alarmist agenda.
It’s not about saving the planet. It’s about robbing the planet by transferring your tax dollars to kleptocrats abroad.
Forget about global warming. Just get your checkbook out and hand over the money.
Thank you for being a member of our community and have a great weekend. All the best,
Stuart Ballantyne of MTG has been designing sea going car ferries for 45 years. He decided to check how alleged rising sea levels are affecting ramps on the ferries. The result – the same as qualified oceanographers world wide agree – there are no rising sea levels.
The climate change cult led by dumber-than-dumb Labor PM Anthony Albanese will finish of the tottering economy of Australia and the only good thing about that is New Zealand PM Ardern might go under too.
Of course the Malthusian Greens are still rearranging the chairs on the deck of the Titanic, but lack sufficient intelligence to get a life jacket.
One crisp winter morning in Sweden, a cute little girl named Greta woke up to a perfect world, one where there were no petroleum products ruining the earth She tossed aside her cotton sheet and wool blanket and stepped out onto a dirt floor covered with willow bark that had been pulverized with rocks.
“What’s this?” she asked.
“Pulverized willow bark,” replied her fairy godmother.
“What happened to the carpet?” she asked.
“The carpet was nylon, which is made from butadiene and hydrogen cyanide, both made from petroleum,” came the response.
Greta smiled, acknowledging that adjustments are necessary to save the planet, and moved to the sink to brush her teeth where instead of a toothbrush, she found a willow, mangled on one end to expose wood fibre bristles.
“Your old toothbrush?” noted her godmother, “Also nylon.”
“Where’s the water? asked Greta.
“Down the road in the canal,” replied her godmother, ‘Just make sure you avoid water with cholera in it”
“Why’s there no running water? ”Greta asked, becoming a little peevish.
“Well,” said her godmother, who happened to teach engineering at university, “Where do we begin?”
There followed a long monologue about how sink valves need elastomer seats and how copper pipes contain copper, which has to be mined and how it’s impossible to make all-electric earth-moving equipment with no gear lubrication or tires and how ore has to be smelted to a make metal, and that’s tough to do with only electricity as a source of heat, and even if you use only electricity, the wires need insulation, which is petroleum-based, and though most of Sweden’s energy is produced in an environmentally friendly way because of hydro and nuclear, if you do a mass and energy balance around the whole system, you still need lots of petroleum products like lubricants and nylon and rubber for tires and asphalt for filling potholes and wax and iPhone plastic and elastic to hold your underwear up while operating a copper smelting furnace and . . .
“What’s for breakfast?” interjected Greta, whose head was hurting.
“Fresh, range-fed chicken eggs,” replied her godmother. “Raw.”
“How so, raw?” inquired Greta.
“Well, . . .” And once again, Greta was told about the need for petroleum products like transformer oil and scores of petroleum products essential for producing metals for frying pans and in the end was educated about how you can’t have a petroleum-free world and then cook eggs.
Unless you rip your front fence up and start a fire and carefully cook your egg in an orange peel like you do in Boy Scouts. Not that you can find oranges in Sweden anymore.
“But I want poached eggs like my Aunt Tilda makes,” lamented Greta.
“Tilda died this morning,” the godmother explained. “Bacterial pneumonia.”
“What?!” interjected Greta. “No one dies of bacterial pneumonia! We have penicillin.”
“Not anymore,” explained godmother:
“The production of penicillin requires chemical extraction using isobutyl acetate, which, if you know your organic chemistry, is petroleum-based.
Lots of people are dying, which is problematic because there’s not any easy way of disposing of the bodies since backhoes need hydraulic oil and crematoriums can’t really burn many bodies using as fuel Swedish fences and furniture, which are rapidly disappearing – being used on the black market for roasting eggs and staying warm.”
This represents only a fraction of Greta’s day, a day without microphones to exclaim into and a day without much food, and a day without carbon-fibre boats to sail in, but a day that will save the planet. – contributed
Nobody was buying Agenda 30 from Greta Thunberg. Plandemic decades in the making
by Alex Bruce
COVID-19 is the Green New Deal, by hook or by crook. The Green New Deal is Agenda 21 by another name, also known as Agenda 2030 and Agenda 2050.
Madonna and other blackmailed superstars are now telling their fans to never go back to their conspicuous consumption ways – the same way that AOC is.
COVID-19 is a pretext for the roll-out of Agenda 2030 and a “contact-tracing” technocracy, that mimics the NSA’s PRISM in 3D space. It’s being used to build-out the Internet of Things and reduce the population of the US by two-thirds, according to Deagel.com.
Nobody was buying Agenda 2030 from Greta Thunberg, so the Deep State had to hold the world hostage to get its way.
The Plandemic had been decades in the making for just this moment, evident from the lockstep scripted behavior of global governments. How were they able to pull this off?
Big Pharma have emerged as heavies capable of staging this planetary coup. They’re perhaps the only cohesive group with financial resources to match the world’s militaries.
Many mayors and governors have obviously been read-in. We see the exact same pattern in countries like Brazil, where the lower-level authorities (mayors and governors), particularly those on the Left are shutting down businesses and effectively putting their citizens under house arrest.
We’ve all heard about the “Tropical Trump”. Less well-known are Brazil’s tropical counterparts to Eric Garcetti, Gretchen Whitmer and Kate Brown, “resisting” their President at every turn. Be it Trump or Bolsonaro, the commanders-in-chief are attacked for the “carelessness” of their responses to the Globalist Pandemic.
I’m sure there’s a similar pattern in the EU, the difference being that virtually every EU politician is either an agent or a hostage of the Globalist parasitic cabal. This is evident in the video of the Coronavirus Response international pledging event telethon, hosted by EU President, Ursula Van der Leyen, featuring various national and UN leaders from around the world, shown in this superb video by Amazing Polly.
East-, West- and South Asian states and former Soviet States are seen playing along with the covid psy-op., with African countries also joining in on the charade.
The Globalists momentarily have Trump on the ropes but he’s using the crisis to his advantage, folding the enemy Federal Reserve Bank into the Treasury and creating Special Purpose Vehicles to provide the interest-free $6 trillion stimulus package.
We’re seeing the execution of the endless money supply of Modern Monetary Theory. Why vote Democrat to have your Communism, when we’ve seemingly already got it under Trump? All he has to do now is to forgive college debt.
Australian and US universities the new Commissariat…ideological policing by academia
by Alex Bruce
Dr. Michael Rectenwald was a professor at New York University and he jokingly describes himself as having been a lifelong Communist, “to the Left of the Bolsheviks” before he ran afoul of his wokester peers in academe.
His story is very similar to my own, in that he was basically a professor of cultural criticism, which was my major. The analyses consisted largely of Marxist Deconstructivism. He could have been my professor. Like me, he was a Leftist until very recently, when his slight deviation from the party line revealed the shocking, totalitarian impulses hiding behind a thin veneer of egalitarian rhetoric.
Like me, he’s now swinging from the rafters and shouting from the rooftops about the pox of Leftism and his Twitter posts look exactly like mine!
His bestselling book, ‘The Google Archipelago: The Digital Gulag and the Simulation of Freedom’ is about how Big Tech, influenced by Marxist and Postmodernist thought increasingly enables a toxic mix of censorship, surveillance, social engineering and ‘social justice’ policies that, in effect create a digital equivalent of the Soviet gulag.
It is this climate that enabled the unprecedented collaboration between Big Tech, with the mass media and the intelligence agencies to saturate the infosphere with their chosen narrative and to ban all others.
As he says here, “We have a soft Cultural Revolution going on in the United States and the West, in general. We need people to stand up to this Cultural Revolution and just speak back to these new Red Guards.
“We’re being surveilled upon, our opinions are being monitored and dissidents are being disappeared, just as they were during the Soviet Union. They’re being digitally erased or deleted…”
He joins The Epoch Times’ Jan Jekielek for what I feel may be the most important interview that I have covered in 9 years of publishing FKTV. I’ve transcribed some of the highlights below.
Dr. Michael Rectenwald: There’s this exclusive domination [on college campuses] of a particular ideological Leftism which is called “Social Justice”. It’s a misnomer, if you ask me but it’s a very rigid creed of identity politics and a kind of adherence to sort of inverse hierarchy, in order to debunk the so-called “oppressors” from the top and put them on the bottom. It is instituted at NYU and universities all across the country; 230 universities at least have instituted what they call “bias reporting” hotlines, in which students are encouraged to report the bias infractions of their professors or fellow students.
So – very much like Communist Soviet Union and Communist China – this kind of ideological policing that was going and that I found very disturbing and everybody was going along for the ride. The no-platforming of speakers, the way that the Left shut down any ideological diversity from appearing on campus at all; burning campuses down, like in Berkeley, when speakers were invited that they didn’t approve of.
Then, of course other things like trigger warnings on syllabi…it’s a slippery slope toward ideological conformity…For example, ‘Dante’s Inferno’ has been stricken from curricula because it has a depiction of Muhammad in one of the circles of Hell. This is one of the greatest books and one of the greatest poems in the Western canon and it’s a shame that the Western canon is being eradicated. Also, for example at the University of Pennsylvania, they took down from the [web] portal the picture of Shakespeare, because he’s a white male… a university in London struck all white philosophers from the philosophy curriculum…
I thought it was censorship. I thought it was ideological conformity being forced on professors and students, I thought it was a…narrowbanding of our intellectual capacities and as kind of an indoctrination of students, rather than teaching; rather than exposing students to diverse perspectives it was…funneling them into a particular perspective and that really disturbed me.
Jan Jekielek: Fascinating. How did the faculty respond to your complaints?
Dr. Michael Rectenwald: Well, I did an interview for a reporter for the Washington Square News, which is the student newspaper at NYU. Within two days of this interview appearing in their online and print edition, I was denounced by a committee calling themselves the “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Group”, which I’ve since dubbed the “Conformity, Inequity and Exclusion Group” because they demand ideological conformity. They attempt to exclude anyone who doesn’t conform and you’re certainly not considered a peer, if you have views that differ from theirs and then I was put on an immediate paid leave of absence, as well.
So I was basically banished from the University for a semester and punished with this ideological condemnation by an official committee of the university.
Jan Jekielek: So you were basically an early recipient of Cancel Culture.
Dr. Michael Rectenwald: Very much so. Before Cancel Culture existed, I was a victim of Cancel Culture…
The things I want to make clear is that these the Big Digital is not some politically neutral set of principles or companies Big Digital consists of a bunch of left-leaning authoritarians and they’re doing so they have the same ideological character in a softer sense of course as the CCP.
Jan Jekielek: OK, so that that’s a big thing to say. You’re gonna you’re gonna have to offer some pretty solid evidence here.
Dr. Michael Rectenwald: There’s a ton of evidence that shows that the Google stacks their search results in a Left-leaning way. All this has been shown by Dr. Robert Epstein and it was exposed by Project Veritas. Google has a worldview that’s reflected both in their algorithms; their outward-facing algorithms and their internal policies. Their internal policies show that they favor almost all kinds of Leftists views about identity. They’re very, very strong in encouraging transgenderism, they’re very strong in discouraging anything like traditional ideas about gender, they also have extremely Left-leaning views about the political economy. They have monopolistic ambitions, I think and they also have state functions. They are – first of all Google was started by funding from the CIA – and that’s not to prove that they have a state function but they also keep they continue to cooperate with the state… Read the rest of this entry
