WHEN veteran ACT public school principal Janelle Rowe proposed swapping the warped LGBTQ+ “Wear it Purple Day” for a Bullying No Way Week, the totalitarian cultural Marxists running the Canberra education bureaucracy pounced in defence of their “special day for the propagation of gender ideology.
Mrs Rowe, who had a reputation in the records of that very department as ‘outstanding’, ‘highly capable’, ‘the best leader I have ever worked with in my 40-year career’, suddenly became “the enemy”.
Mrs Rowe was immediately put “under supervision”, instructed to take part in the day and wear purple. She was also accused of ‘underperforming’. The education commissariat had spoken.
Then came the accusation that she was only doing this because she’s a Christian. Well surprise, surprise ACT Education Directorate, a Christian woman finds perverted and warped gender bending ideas being peddled to children an obnoxious prospect?
Mrs Rowe told James McPherson of Sky News that special days at school like Anzac Day or NAIDOC Day involved talking to the children about what the day meant, its history and so on.
But with Wear It Purple Day, her teaching staff would have to explain the meanings of the LGBTQ letters to children as young as four and five, and speaking on matters of sexual intimacy to children was actually forbidden by department rules. “So I was trying to protect my staff and the children from the content.”
We would suggest to the ACT Education Department that it’s not just Christians like Mrs Rowe who object to this ideology, it’s also the view of a large number of regular Australians of all sorts of religious or non-religious persuasions. Why do you think so many Australians turning to the conservative One Nation?
She told McPherson that a staff member told her: “I completely agree with you, but I would never say anything, and since then I’ve talked to people and staff and teachers and they’ve said we don’t want to talk about this stuff at school, it’s not appropriate.”
Janelle resigned, chose not to go to Fair Work so she could speak freely, and is now telling her story through the media so parents know what’s happening in their children’s classrooms.
She doesn’t regret taking a stance. “If I’ve helped one parent feel empowered to speak up, or protected one child, then that’s great,” she told McPherson.
“Children deserve a childhood. Principals who protect it deserve our backing,” the Australian Christian Lobby commented on its social media page.
Goes to show that when you give lip service to the wokeists if you don’t give as much as they want you run the risk of being circumscribed.

Oh the irony. A principal who wanted a “No Bullying” week was met with bullying from her own department to go against her principles and conform to their ideology.
We have to sympathise with our bought and paid for politicians and grubbernments. With the transgender population amounting to maybe 0.9% of the Australian population, our politicians would clearly face a severe blowback and a vicious voting backlash if they didn’t follow their script, right? The education dept judging by their results are total rubbish and should count themselves lucky if they can produce guidelines only. This communist style system of “state-care” from cradle to grave is falling apart and the education dept needs to own the fact that the problems we see now are as much their fault from 10 or 20 years ago as anyone else’s fault.
