Campaign to restore the Upper House in Qld should start now

The SSM plebiscite could have been hacked with a predictably skewed result. In any case Cairns News has a long-standing policy of ignoring the gender neutral campaign started years ago by the feminist movement, contemporaneously referred to as the ‘femminazi’ collection of dykes.

Canberra is infested with thousands in this clique. They sit in the multitude of offices found in the Prime Minister’s Department many drafting bills such as the SSM legislation which was passed yesterday in the Lower House.

This newsletter will continue to use the grammatically correct terminology of Mr; Mrs; husband; wife; de-facto; girl; boy; married couple; fisherman; waiter; waitress, ad infinitum.

Time after time Australia has been the guinea pig for the cultural revolution orchestrated by the United Nations and the

Dark Government which is largely unknown to the average Australian. The SSM continues the tradition paving the way for the seemingly normal people remaining on the planet. Every day Mormon lifestyles seem more attractive.

The growing fascism emanating from state parliaments will be evident to all when the Queensland ALP begins its legislative attack on the business and farming sectors during this term of parliament.

The campaign to restore the Upper House should begin in earnest drawing its members from the existing number of state politicians without adding any more. – Gil Hanrahan

About Editor, cairnsnews

One of the few patriots left who understands the system and how it has been totally subverted under every citizen's nose. If we can help to turn it around we will, otherwise our children will have nothing. Our investigations show there is no 'government' of the people for the people of Australia. The removal of the Crown from Australian Parliaments, followed by the incorporation of Parliaments aided by the Australia Act 1987 has left us with corporate government with policies not laws, that apply only to members of political parties and the public service. There is no law, other than the Common Law. This fact will be borne out in the near future as numerous legal challenges in place now, come to a head soon.

  1. Good luck restoring the Upper House. You’ll find it a very difficult task without a revolution by We the People;

    This is why:

Cheers! Mike Holt *You can’t beat someone who never quits.* Mobile (Australia): +61 412 677 223

  2. Unfortunately this victory by the SSM is not a victory and the PM knows this ..He has done the bidding by the “Elite” Globalists who have another Agenda in their bag and another step closer for a NEW WORLD GOVERNMENT. This is the Satanic NWO FOOLING THE SHEEPLES who will wake up one day and ask WHY?
You might also find a very disturbing article at
This report states that the launching of the NWO will NOT be launched in America,,BUT HERE IN AUSTRALIA…QUEENSLAND IS ALREADY DOING SOME OF THE AGENDAS…..
I believe that this is the REASON why Australia has been Protected from further WOES as in the other parts of the world…..

  3. Sadly, judith, your link is dead, but I’m guessing you’re referring to this article:

It’s a pretty hilarious example of the workings of a deluded mind. To the author’s credit, managing to work some good old-fashioned anti-Semitism and the Protocols of the Elders of Zion into alien overlord nonsense is close to being a work of genius. And, of course, no conspiracy theory which has ventured beyond the borders of sanity can be complete without reference to the nonsense produced by whichever drug-raddled mind was responsible for the Revelation of St John the Divine.

Nothing, though is more bizarre than this: “The Earth is the plum of the Virtual Reality because it houses the Atu-waa, the time-restarting device.”

It’s certainly hilarious, but it makes me wonder how the author is able to achieve even a basic level of functionality in society.

Keep taking the mind-altering substances, judith.

  4. Although your reasoning is vague, seemingly following the line that restoration of Queensland’s upper house will reverse the civilisation-threatening tide of “political correctness”, I do agree that a bicameral parliament is vastly preferable to a unicameral system.

The double entrenchment of the unicameral system in the Queensland constitution requires a referendum to restore the upper house and, of course, a conservative government to propose such a referendum, so it won’t be happening for a while yet.

Let’s do a bit of a thought experiment, though, to see how a restored upper house might look in Queensland.

Given the relative populations, we could probably expect the size of the house the be somewhere between those of South Australia and Victoria/NSW, so about 38 members.

The voting system would no doubt be proportional representation, as it is for every mainland state. (Tasmania has proportional representation for the lower house.) If a statewide vote, like NSW were used, this would result (using percentage first preferences from the recent election) in a house with these numbers.

    ALP 14
    LNP 13
Polly Nanson’s Racists and Xenophobes 5
    Greens 4
More Hat Than Cattle (Mad Katters) 1
Uncertain (probably ALP and/or LNP) 1

(Figures are perhaps somewhat distorted by the Pollys and the Hats running candidates in only a restricted number of seats, but still seems pretty right for the Hansonites, at least, given their statewide polling numbers were pretty close to their final 13% in the seats in which they ran. The Hatters would need to get close to 5% of the statewide vote to get to two seats. Unlikely)

This looks like it would lead to conservative control of the house, no doubt pleasing the proprietors of this site.

A multi-member districting system, a la SA, would result in greater local support for parties whose base is geographically limited. The Mad Katters would stand a strong chance of getting representation under such a system, and the Polly Nansons might well increase their numbers too.

Frankly, from a neutral viewpoint, which we should all aspire to in designing electoral systems, such a multi-member geographical districting system is probably fairest and would result in certain conservative control.

At the extreme margin, we have something like WA’s unashamed gerrymander, which gives regional voters far more power than those in Perth. As an advocate of One Person, One Vote, such a system is anathema to me.

Now that you have some idea of what the numbers might look like, do the readers here (particularly given Queensland’s history of gerrymandering) favour such a system, or would you prefer fairness over electoral advantage?
