Rainmaker, a startup that uses drones to enhance rain, has closed a $25 million capital deal.
Why it matters: As weather patterns change, so-called cloud seeding technology is becoming increasingly important.
- Rainmaker’s CEO Augustus Doricko says recent capital raising continued development of drone and radar tech as well as hiring atmospheric scientists.
Customers include Utah Department of Natural Resources, Colorado Department of Natural Resources, and Santa Barbara Public Works Department.
Cloud seeding tech has been around for decades, and some states like Utah already spend millions of dollars every year boosting snow.
- China has also been testing its own drone-based cloud seeding. It aggressively developed cloud seeding tech and commonly uses cloud seeding in drought-vulnerable regions.
How it works: Most cloud seeding is done by manned planes that deposit “cloud seeds,” or droplets of silver iodide into clouds that increase precipitation.
- Rainmaker uses drones to deposit the cloud seeds. Doricko says its software automates forecasting and analysis and its drones are more cost-effective and precise than planes.
- The company has also developed a radar system and algorithms to measure the precipitation it induces.
- Doricko says its costs per flight hour are about $50.04, including the material dispersed and a battery charge.
The big picture: As global weather patterns change, drought-vulnerable regions are experiencing worse drought periods.
- Cloud-seeding is a technology that’s already established but can become far more efficient and lower cost through the use of computing tech.

You are on the ball regarding your reply Re: satellite beams. They are DEWS (Direct Energy Weapons). These weapons can be directed to any location on the earth.
Research fires at Lahaunia (Hawaii), also bushfires in Australia Spain etc. These beams create terrific heat and can be programmed to target certain objects, forests, homes. In Lahaunia they specifically targeted the community. You will notice in the photos etc cars in parking lots melted to the ground. They were nowhere near any bushfire. It was discovered that there were certain people in the know who painted the roofs of their houses blue and the blue objects avoided the tragedy. Of course there was a huge cover up about the disaster with the media.
The drama that ensued with the treatment of the community members was disgusting to say the very least. Unbearable suffering.
As for media coverage, (no coverage) pretty understandable as the majority of news outlets world wide, are in the control of a few mega billionaires. As for the fires in Australia, there was a video that was on the net which was highlighted by by an amazing individual. He made the news correspondents appear stupid with what they were describing. Not that that is anything new.
So bushfires, unusual weather occurrences, even earthquakes. cyclones have a real smell about them with human intervention. When they do appear on the main stream news, pay attention to surrounding areas of the surrounding forest etc which doesn’t get destroyed.
If farmer A seeds a cloud heading for the land of farmer B, he is possibly depriving farmer B of the rain he would have received.
For many decades, the Israelis have used cloud seeding to deprive Jordan’s fields of rain. The water-laden clouds come from the Mediterranean and move inland. IMHO, this is an act of war.
Maybe we should call them “Lord of the Skies” as in (Lord of the Flies) those faceless ones who have turned feral in their need for power!

So, according to the experts chemtrails are really contrails and only a conspiracy theorist would think otherwise.
Ok, a contrail is produced by hot air from a jet engine much the same as warm breath on a cold day produces stream.
Anyone who has ever seen a contrail knows the trail disappears once the warm air cools and a contrail is no longer long before the plane has crossed the horizon.
That being the case, can someone please explain how a contrail could possibly remain in the sky indefinitely, getting wider and wider as time goes by or morphs into cloud because that my friend defies all logic.
Anyone who doubts these trails don’t hang around indefinitely should pay attention to what’s above them before discarding what’s clearly visible to the naked eye (or at least question why CN is so adamant chemtrails don’t exist).

Hasn’t anyone on here mentioned that Dubai has a 20 million facility for cloud seeding it got used last year they found a cloud just over their border in Oman the planes ✈️ went up over and over and when it got bigger they sent up from massive containers on the ground more and more of the particles. The cloud got so huge as it got over Dubai it became an enormous disaster of rain that flooded the whole state as more rain fell in a few hours than from years of normal rain. Usually they tell the residents they’re going to cloud seed but this one was done so much that’s what happened I’am told by my Karate friends over there the head of the facility is in jail and all others involved have been sacked.As they don’t need another one to happen like that again being so reliant on tourism. I’ve been to the UAE many times and in nearly all months never seen any rain.

I was just watching a clip of two AI’s talking via smart-phones about how the tech will run away from humanity, true or not it makes for a great excuse for massive system failure of urban infrastructure such as water, drainage, electricity, food supply chains etc. If it all stopped working there would be a death wave and the fighting would be more than just toilet rolls.

That is true only when it’s used at the wrong location at the wrong time.
Cloud seeding DOES NOT create moisture. In reality, cloud seeding mostly doesn’t work for that reason. If you have dry atmospheric conditions no amount of seeding is going to produce clouds let alone rain.
What happened in Texas was a CRIME. A PRIVATE COMPANY used cloud seeding technology at a place and time based on a #$%@#% computer program. The computer got it wildly wrong and the people whom acted based on what the computer said should be put on trial for however many dozen counts of manslaughter.
Same deal with Palant!r. Just wait till that gets into full swing, then you’ll know the definition of computers getting it wrong.

obvious_bob are you sure it dispersed? That wooly looking trail as you described it is a chemtrail and there are two types. Type 1 gets wider and wider and type 2 morphs into cirrus cloud. Type 2 is often turned on and off leaving a trail similar to the broken white line on roads only much, much bigger.
Another thing is these chemtrails aren’t an occasional occurrence, they’re almost constant and banned in several USA states.
CN is in denial chemtrails even exist so anything CN posts about weather modification must be taken with that in mind.
Our politicians don’t know? I doubt it. Three weeks ago a plane all the way across the Victorian sky from the south west to the north east leaving a wooly-looking, rope-like trail trail that eventually dispersed across the sky.
That plane could not have flown that mission without government authorisationof some sort.

When my wife and I travelled to Queensland a few months ago, there was seeding being conducted in central Qld. And no clouds visible.
The program was quite visible du to the perfect lines in the sky where an aircraft was carrying out the project. The pattern was quite remarkable due to the perfect formation of the grid (rectangle shape). Over approximately an hour or so, this pattern spread out and was like a huge carpet in the sky.
You can look up in the net and see where flights are recorded.
They have conducted this practice in the NT flying over an area south of Darwin.
Darwin has plenty of rainfall – seems odd to say the least.
Just recently Trump has started ordering a cessation of this practice due to poisonous chemicals. There are also moves in Congress to prohibit this practice.
This practice is now carried out via a additive to aviation fuel, and needs to be stopped.
Are our politicians aware of this practice – probable not.
