Adelaide historical records shatter climate cultists
The hottest day was not in 2019, but 1828 at a blistering 53.9 °C. Back before man-made climate change was frying Australia, when CO2 was around 300ppm, the continent savoured an ideal pre-industrial climate…. RIGHT? This is the kind of climate we are spending $10bn per annum to get back to … Right again? We are told today’s climate has more records and more extremes than times gone by, but the few records we have from the early 1800s are eye-popping.
Things were not just hotter, but so wildly hot it burst thermometers. The earliest temperature records we have show that Australia was a land of shocking heatwaves and droughts, except for when it was bitterly cold or raging in flood. In other words, nothing has changed, except possibly things might not be quite so hot now!
Silliggy (Lance Pidgeon) has been researching records from early explorers and from newspapers. What he’s uncovered is fascinating! It’s as if history is being erased! For all that we hear about recent record-breaking climate extremes, records that are equally extreme, and sometimes even more so, are ignored. In January 1896 a savage blast “like a furnace” stretched across Australia from east to west and lasted for weeks. The death toll reached 437 people in the eastern states. Newspaper reports showed that in Bourke the heat approached 120°F (48.9°C) on three days.

What I found most interesting about this was the skill, dedication and length of meteorological data taken in the 1800s. When our climate is “the most important moral challenge” why is it there is so little interest in our longest and oldest data?
Who knew that one of the most meticulous and detailed temperature records in the world from the 1800s comes from Adelaide, largely thanks to Sir Charles Todd.

Rainfall records even appear to go as far back as 1839. Lance Pidgeon went delving into the National Archives and was surprised at what he found.
The media are in overdrive, making out that “the extreme heat is the new normal” in Australia. You can’t blame those high records on man-made global warming!
I asked for some proof.. If I get it I will put in a complaint to the ABC..

On a slightly more “scientific” addition to the fine observations above;
It is physically impossible for one extra molecule of an entirely transparent, slightly heavier-than-air, fairly inert gas (CO2) mixed with 10,000 similar air molecules (that’s the difference between 300 parts per million CO2 and 400 ppm) to have any of the “climate” effects blamed on CO2.
The amount of CO2 released by burning “fossil fuels” is fairly insignificant compared to the belching of even one major volcanic eruption. (Oil is not a “fossil fuel” but that’s another topic).
How the CO2 concentration is arrived at is a bit of statistical magic as the concentration of CO2 varies very significantly seasonally, regionally, and even diurnally.
Even a small increase in CO2 content in air greatly improves plant growth on land because the plants can get more CO2 for photosynthesis with less moisture loss through transpiration. Satellite images over the last 20 years, at least, have revealed that , overall, the Earth is “greening” (greater plant density). For 100 years or more farmers growing crops in controlled environments (greenhouses) have been enriching their controlled atmospheres with CO2 for the fairly spectacular improvements in plant growth.
Plant density has a very moderating effect on weather extremes.
That’s only a very brief summary of land-based plant biology… the marine ecology is even less convenient to the abject slime who like to subject reality to their perverse ideologies and personal convenience.

All the forests and grasslands on Earth are pissants compared to the photosynthesis and related bio symbiosis that goes on in the marine and aquatic systems on Earth.
In my childhood indomitable, valiant women “toiled over a hot stove” even where the temperature in the waterbag was way over 100 F. I can remember as a child the thermometer in my grandmother’s almost open air kitchen read 125 degrees Fahrenheit but even so we feral brats came in there from time to time for a bit of a rest in the shade.
From mid school science we were given to understand that plants needed CO2 from the atmosphere to do the photosynthesis thing (the CO2 being admitted through “stomates” that regulate the trade-off between enough CO2 for photosynthesis to occur and to limit the loss of moisture that could kill the plant).
It would take a profoundly perverse genius to want to degrade the Natural Order into the impossibility that Natural Order is something that changes according to the ambitions of wealthy narcissists.

Yair! it seems that all the droughts we’ve had in W.A. in the last 100 years haven’t even come close to the 1914 drought where (as I recall) Perth had only 6″ (150 mm) of rain for the entire year.
I can’t verify it now because, last time I tried, the records were scrubbed from public access.

I look at Climate Change/Global Warming as an excuse to screw the people of this planet in whatever way they can. A book Titled “A disgrace to the Profession” is a must read so one can educate ones self just how we have been conned by the CO-2 brigade. One of my greatest arguments is this:- Trees breathe in CO-2 and expel Oxygen, so with the destruction of the worlds forests, at an unprecedent rate along with the polluting of our oceans will totally destroy this planet if those 2 events are not stopped and make the surface unlivable!
