An incredible 30 businesses a day have gone broke since Labor came to power in 2022, the hardest hit being hospitality, construction and retail.
Corporate regulator ATSIC reports 14,011 businesses have gone under in the 2025-2026 financial year.
Since Labor took government in 2022, 47,728 businesses have gone bankrupt, about 30 per day.
Small business is the largest employer in the nation and is the backbone of the economy. Without mum and dad enterprises unemployment and mortgage stress have soared.
While the Australian Bureau of Statistics posts the unemployment rate at 4.4 per cent it classes a person working one hour a week as being employed.
Official labour statistics—including those from the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS)—use the international standard that doing any paid work for one hour or more in a week classifies you as employed.
Hence Australia’s real unemployment rate is off the charts. It has to be with Labor’s overflow of migrants.
ABS data published in April reveals 1,154,000 permanent and long-term arrivals to Australia over the year to February 2026.
In 2026 we are seeing the highest levels of annual arrivals on record in fifty years (since 1976).
Around 5.3 million Australians aged 16 and over receive direct Centrelink income support payments, making up roughly 19% to 24% of the population. When adding broader subsidies, family benefits, and government wages, about half of Australian households receive some form of government payment.

Morrison’s $52m windfall was independently audited and accurate in 2024 (commissioned by Cairns News). Vaccine companies are believed to be the source of this newfound wealth.
Australia now languishes in 32nd position according to International Monetary Fund’s latest Top 50 economies (Real GDP Growth).
The Liberals and Nationals have blamed everything but the Covid scamdemic for their malaise but there has been an awakening among voters that something was radically wrong with the mandated vaccines.
