A week of media hype led by Murdoch’s Sky News over the Bondi Beach massacre is starting to wear thin for those viewers with a modicum of intelligence.

Killer Pager Operation
During Israel’s 77th Independence Day torch-lighting ceremony on Mount Herzl three masked Mossad operatives identified only by the initials “R,” “D” and “N” appeared publicly for the first time. Israeli media reported that these individuals led the covert “Killer Pager Operation” targeting Hezbollah members in Lebanon and Syria.

Interesting article about the Phrygian cap. It’s very similar to the ‘Santa hat’. I associate the conical hat that is the subject of the question with Scandinavia and Germany because of the fur lining; not with ancient Asia. The Liberty cap, which derived from the Phrygian cap, looks more similar. I wonder though, if the Phrygian cap and its derivatives and the fur-lined hat in the OP are related, or if they are products of independent development.
