While the media and One Nation members applaud former National Party Deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce jumping ship to join Pauline Hanson, Sky News host Andrew Bolt could be forgiven for being sceptical.
Since she first formed the party Pauline had more than 20 candidates who were elected to federal and state parliaments. None survived for very long with their memberships being torn up or resigning from the party.
Pauline’s biggest bungle was listening to Freemason and former Liberal Attorney General George Brandis in 2016 who assisted with the dumping of Senator Rod Culleton for managing to get the Crown reinstated into parliamentary procedure.
Unfortunately Pauline didn’t understand the importance of Culleton’s Senate manouvers and fell into Brandis’ trap to get rid of Culleton. Brandis also moved out not long after to London and lashings of lads.
How long Barnaby will last is anyone’s guess but we wish him all the best hoping he can attract other good members and conservative smaller parties to move in with One Nation and become the official Opposition, or at least control the Senate.
It seems to me that people complain about politicians on the basis that the politician does not always do exactly what they want, in that case they should run for politics themselves and would probably end up taking all the kickbacks from lobbyists like many of them.
Personally I like to think I look more towards the legacy, what have they done to improve the place, if that’s possible, over the next years or decades.
The fake news has been ripping into that nice Susan Ley, straight out of the gate calling her things like “doomed opposition leader”, and they have been back-and-front stabbing Pauline all along. Pauline has refused to yield and she is picking up conservative votes. The fake news M$M no doubt apoplectic that people do not vote as directed. Malcolm Roberts does a great job virtually unhindered. Barnaby could too if he wanted. Rennick should drop his sense of entitlement and get under the brand. If they can’t cope with Pauline being Prima Donna that means they must be a Prima Donna too. Next election CN readership should probably swell to millions, whatever happens.
I dealt with Pauline way back when all the SHTF in the original ON. I sat down with her and explained what was going to happen, that ON would be de-registered, That she was vulnerable to litigation. I told her what she needed to do the head off the problems that were inevitable. – She was bull-headed, aggressive, she was tired of people telling her what to do. She was unable to understand the legal advice I gave her.
Perhaps, just perhaps, when she was taken into custody and had her body cavities probed that she remembered the advice I gave her. (oh yeah, I was told this would happen)
Very well said Cairns News, Pauline is the problem and her subservience to Liberal Party shills will be her eventual downfall. Aussies are flocking to her because they fall for the false narrative she portrays around immigration and free speech but the reality speaks for itself because her ability to bring about change in those areas is wanting. Her best Senator was Rod Culleton who is still fighting the good fight to this day. He brought on the bank Royal Commission while an ex commercial banker was the PM. He was appointed as the Commissioner for the inquiry and his office wrote the terms of reference for that inquiry.
Pauline even screwed up the Faruqui allegations in the Federal Court last year when there was already stacks of High Court precedents in her favour.
Pauline is well and truly on her way to being a train wreck, all under her watch with no-one else to blame but herself.
