I Was in the Army Cadets at John Curtin SHS, From 1974 To the end of 1977. This high school was situated in Fremantle Western Australia. We had an armory at our school and an outdoor firing range. We were taught to use military weapons from age 13 to 17. This was the same in every Army, Navy and Airforce Cadet Unit in Western Australia. This was the case until the government banned all guns in the cadet units in I think the early nineties . Making the units glorified scouts. Not going to be popular, but what the hell. The Russians have zero interest in Australia beyond certain very specific target coordinates.
