CAN radical anarcho-capitalist economics without a central bank save the economically disabled state of Argentina with its inflation rate of more than 140% and 40% of its population in poverty?
Javier Milei, the radical populist elected president this month by a landslide, believes he can rescue the country and apparently has a strategy to do it. The central part of the plan is to “dollarize” the Argentinian economy, that is, switch the Argentinian peso over into US dollar equivalents and abolishing the country’s central bank, which Milei has called “one of the greatest thieves of all time”.
Milei is fanatically anti-socialist and plans to wipe out at least half a dozen government departments including culture, environment and sustainability, gender diversity and women’s issues, public works and public broadcasting. Privatisation is big on his agenda, but whether that will work in the interests of the country is debatable.
In relation to the country’s peso currency, Milei says when a product has no demand its price is zero. “What ever amount of currency a central bank wants to impose, the flip side is that the price level has infinity, so in other words it is a naturally inflationary economy.” He insists that dollarization will bring fiscal balance and that matter is not negotiable, otherwise the country will go into hyper-inflation.
Milei also accuses the country’s political class of stealing 5 points of GDP from the Argentine people. He says the dollarization program will avoid the same mistakes of El Salvador, which took 24 months to complete the process, which was initially set at three months.
He says, as with El Salvador, the people will carry out the exchange process and when two thirds of of the monetary base it converted it will be automatically dollarized. He says dollarization automatically becomes a stabilisation program.
Milei is also a big supporter of Israel, possibly to keep the country’s millions of evangelical Christians happy, and he has said he might convert to Judaism. Milei’s radical libertarianism would be an odd mix with Judaism and all its legalism. But without a central bank it’s obvious he knows who has got the dollars his country will need.
Before he was elected, Milei launched an attack on the Argentine Pope Francis, calling him a “Jesuit who promotes communism”, and even the “representative of the evil one [the Devil] on Earth”. Naughty, naughty Javier.
Someone must have had words with Milei because only days after his election win, he had what he called a “very friendly” phone call with the Pope, whom he addressed as “Your Holiness” and inviting him to visit Argentina in 2024.
That backdown has probably got a lot to do with internal politics because Milei’s Libertad Avanza (Freedom Advances) movement is only the third largest political force in Congress, which means he will face difficult negotiations with a bunch of politicians who are as socialist as any others.
While dumping a bunch of useless bureaucratic institutions that are forever bleeding the country’s finances, making the country open ground for dozens of multinational “service providers” from banks and road builders to water and energy suppliers will also be an acid test for Milei’s reforms.
For instance, Argentine electricity is heavily subsidized by the state to the point where it is up to 40 times cheaper for the consumer than Europe. Argentine’s could be in for a shock when the multinationals take over, but given his total rejection of climate change hysteria and dumping of the environment department, perhaps their current energy mix will see them through.
“I do not deny climate change. What I am saying is that there is a temperature cycle in the history of the Earth… Therefore, all those policies that blame humans for climate change are false,” Milei said during a presidential debate last month, that apparently sent shockwaves through “the global(ist) community”.
The BBC predictably commented: “Such apparent climate scepticism risked putting Mr Milei sharply out of tune with an international majority of governments and leaders who plan to gather at the COP28 climate conference in Dubai soon to seek urgent solutions to the problems of climate change and global warming.” Tut, tut.
Despite his crazy appearance with his retro-hairstyle and theatrics such as appearing on a platform after his election win revving up a chainsaw, Milei is an economist with strong views about what works and what doesn’t. Answers are certainly needed in a country that has long had to deal with rampant inflation and fiscal failure.
Milei’s predecessor, the left-wing Peronist President Alberto Fernández, had developed ties with Beijing and put the country on track to join Brics on January 1, 2024, along with Egypt, Ethiopia, Iran, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. Brics is led by Russia and China and also includes Brazil, India, and South Africa. The group counteracts the dominance of the Anglo-American-EU globalists, who Milei wants to be strongly allied with.
Milei’s radical libertarian ideology has led him to say he doesn’t do deals with communists, which would therefore preclude him from trade deals with China or Brazil. But China has become a top market for Argentina’s soybean, meat and grains and that will continue.
China has also played a role propping up Argentina’s financial reserves with a currency swap deal, which is seen as significant support for a country already heavily indebted to the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
The BBC also noted that Milei received a personal letter of “congratulations and good wishes” from Chinese President Xi Jinping and Milei himself thanked Xi on social media. Milei’s Foreign Minister Diana Mondino also dismissed suggestions that commercial relations with China and Brazil would be ruptured.
So Milei, despite all his anti-socialist claims, will still be a player on the international trading stage, which is understandable, given that the country is endowed with very rich and abundant natural resources in agriculture and mining.
The new president will face some real opposition to his reforms from the entrenched political class, and how he deals with the woke global business corporations, the World Economic Forum and the UN, will be telling.

Javier Milei about-turns as he commits to Paris climate agreement
President won the election on ‘radical’ policies in which he called global warming a hoax and socialist lie.
Mr Milei, who was sworn into office on Sunday, had previously said he intended to rescind Argentina’s participation in the agreement after calling climate change a hoax.

Libertarianism is Jewish
I’m thinking Javier Milei got a nose job and shortened his real name, Mileikowsky, so the goyim wouldn’t know.
He’s related to Netanyahu.
Netanyahu’s grandfather – the new Argentinian’s last name is the same:

“it appears all these leaders get in and immediately go traveling.”
To pay homage and receive instructions, no doubt. 🙂
And reposting on Geert Wilders, the new Dutch Prime Minister.

Daviddd2, not just there but also visited:
“Argentina’s new president Monday visited the Queens grave of one of the most revered rabbis in modern history, paying his respects as he met with Jewish leaders in the Big Apple.
Javier Milei — a firebrand libertarian and outspoken admirer of Israel who has been fostering a close relationship with New York’s Hasidic community since well before his Oct. 22 election victory — stopped at the Ohel, the gravesite of the Chabad Lubavitcher Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson.
Donning a yarmulke and flanked by Hasidic community leaders, Milei, who is Catholic, somberly toured the rebbe’s final resting place, where he shared an embrace with others in his group.
Milei — who has openly bashed Pope Francis and mused about converting to Judaism — used the graveside visit to thank God for his election win, according to the Buenos Aires Herald.
The eccentric Argentinian leader is then headed to Washington, DC, to huddle with Biden administration officials over the South American country’s economic issues.
Javier Milei, Argentina’s newly elected president and a longtime admirer of Israel, visited the revered gravesite of Rebbe Menachem Mendel Schneerson in Queens on Monday. Stephen Yang
The gravesite of the rebbe, who died in 1994, is visited by hundreds of thousands of people each year of all faiths. The Ohel is located at Montefiore Cemetery in Cambria Heights.
Milei had visited the site previously in September as he met with top Hasidic leaders in Brooklyn and Queens, even sharing his reverence for the rebbe in an undated campaign video.”

Seems to me if you were for your people you would be staying put and getting the job done. However, it appears all these leaders get in and immediately go travelling.
Looks like Argentina’s Meschiah is right on track to rescue Argentina.

“Who’s Puppet is Argentina’s Pres. Milei? Here are his handlers. He already visits Washigton DC. “
Brian Johnston: “I believe we are either witnessing a dynastic struggle between powerful families Or One family controlling both sides of the coin. ”
Both! The La Famiglia model says they’re not mutually exclusive ideas.
If Albinsleasy can get voted into being Prime Minister and can be left to run Australia into the ground, then the people will allow anything as long as it is up to someone else.
So if Columbia is just slightly better at politics than we are, their new President will do at least as well as we are…..we are a 3rd level country now that we are infiltrated by treasonous politicians and the New World Order… He is gonna kick them to hell.
Just a quick question.
Can other commentators still post comments with their phones?
Does the ‘Reply’ button activate and light up blue on your phones?
I can no longer post comments from my phone.
It’s probably good to remain balanced and monitor the situation for what is, whilst trying to keep detached from personal idiosyncrasies.
Milei belongs to the Austrian School of Economics, – and its this, what’s important, – nothing else.
Argentina has now become the ‘economic petri-dish,’ and if Milei manages to successfully implement an Austrian School based economy, as he repeatedly suggests, only then, will it be possible to compare the socio-economic results with the rest of South America, where currently, every Latin American nation has been financially ruined by Keynesian economics and its accompanying Socialism.
As always, the main problem is going to be the Keynesian high priests at the FED, whom for obvious reasons, will want this experiment to fail, so as to eliminate further ideological economic contagion.
The Globalists must also be deeply concerned with Milei’s proposed rejection of CBDC’s, – that’s a big one, – so expect external spanners in the works.
Returning Argentina to the dollar should be a good start for Milei, as it should offer some currency protection when the FED does its interest rate manipulations, and especially, when next year’s loosening program begins.
As Hayek once stated, – ‘If Socialists understood economics, – they wouldn’t be Socialists.’
As for his WEF membership, it is well known, that the WEF fabricates web-pages for people who have never been members. I’m surprised people still don’t understand the necessities of Milei’s mandatory ‘political signalling.’
Monitor the economics and ignore the noise.
Not mentioned anywhere is that El Salvador is using bitcoin for total independence and their economy is going gangbusters since they locked a lot of mafia up.
If Harvey Milei intends to follow this example it will be more interesting.
However the stories that he is a scammer like everyone else are provided with a bit of substance by the fact that economies have to grow organically and if they are smashed around and asset stripped ( privatised ) then the winners are the inside traders and the losers are the low-value ordinary people.
Everything will be blurred and impossible to judge except by the fact of, does he stick with the USD or is there a transition plan to something else. Consider that a steady supply of USD is already brought in by tourists and the country is already functionally running on USD. What is Harvey’s way forward. Surely not just a new scrip with his face on it.
Milei is pro Israel and anti Catholic Jesuits who are pro communist
What an oxymoron.
The Jews were Bolshevik and pro communist.
Trump supports him.
Confused yet.
I believe we are either witnessing a dynastic struggle between powerful families.
Or
One family controlling both sides of the coin.
Either way the people could be in for a shock.
okchuck said – “The people who elected this Donald Trump of the South do not expect a sugar pill.”
TBH, Mr. Milei reminds me in some ways of President Duterte of the Philippines. A controversial yet IMO likeable character with a fiery diplomatic style, but he got the job done (albeit with some collateral damage).
Let’s see what Mr. Milei delivers for Argentina.
It cannot be any worse. GOVERNMENT caused the problem. Free markets, not more government, will cure it. The people who elected this Donald Trump of the South do not expect a sugar pill. Argentinians are tough.
I also have misgivings about Argentina’s future.

Mike Adam’s take on this:
Javier Milei just DOOMED Argentina to financial collapse by rejecting BRICS and embracing the DOLLAR.

Editor, cairnsnews said – “… send a link re Milei and WEF association…”
This is important, when allegations are being aired about a promising new personality on the block.
Here’s the best I can find associating Mr. Milei with the WEF…
.org/people/javier-gerardo-milei/ (stick “weforum” at the front – sorry, Dudes, the Cairns News WordPress thing eats any full assembled links)
For info, the WEF has had TWO apprentice programs, the first was the “Global Leaders for Tomorrow” program, running from 1993 to 2003, which was changed to the “Young Global Leaders” program starting 2004 and continuing to the present.
Here’s the whole alumni of “Global Leaders for Tomorrow” published by the WEF…
.com/wiki/WEF/Global_Leaders_for_Tomorrow (stick “wikispooks” at the front)
And here’s the whole alumni of “Young Global Leaders” published by the WEF…
.com/wiki/WEF/Young_Global_Leaders (stick “wikispooks” at the front)
And here’s an easy way to hunt down “Young Global Leaders” (which started 2004) by the first letter of their surname…
.org/2021/05/03/full-list-of-wefs-young-global-leaders-exposed-volle-liste-der-wef-jungen-globalen-fuhrer-enthullt-#/
(stick “berndpulch” at the front, and replace the “#” with the first letter of the name that you are looking for)
I don’t see Mr. Milei listed in ANY of the “Young Global Leader” or “Global Leader for Tomorrow” lists.
Keep in mind that those lists are only what the WEF has published, and they are known to MODIFY their lists. For example, the WEF USED TO have a “people” page for Vladimir Putin, but the WEF has REMOVED that page.
And note that Klaus Schwab EXPLICITLY claims Vladimir Putin is a graduate of his “Global Leaders for Tomorrow / Young Global Leaders” program, although Mr. Putin’s name doesn’t appear in any of the published alumni lists.
Conversely, Tulsi Gabbard is listed as a 2015 “Young Global Leaders” graduate, but Ms. Gabbard denies any involvement with the WEF, claiming that they used her name without her permission.
So getting back to Mr. Milei, who do we believe? The WEF has him tagged on a WEF “people” page, but also had one for Mr. Putin until they deleted it.
Klaus Schwab himself claimed Mr. Putin as a “Global Leaders for Tomorrow / Young Global Leaders” graduate, though this has no published substantiation (that I can find).
Allegations are floating around that Mr. Milei is a “Global Leaders for Tomorrow / Young Global Leaders” graduate, again without any confirmation that I can find.
So is Mr. Milei the real deal, is he a genuine home-grown patriot, or is he a surreptitious Globalist stooge? His mix of promised policy postures is unconventional, hard to pigeon-hole in a partisan box. But we also know that the WEF has substantial assets already entrenched all around him in the machinery of Argentinian governance.
So – we shall see.
Don’t cry for me, Argentina.

It wouldn’t matter if the new President actually was an Anarcho Capitalist and was on our side. The alphabet agencies would just engineer a coup and oust him like Bolsinaro to install their puppet. In any case, Milei is on record as saying he loves the Zionist and considers himself a Jew, so…
Pat send a link re Milei and WEF association. Ed
Well I guess we will just have to wait and see when he returns from his trip to Queens, New York.
He’s been visiting the grave of Lubavitcher Rabbi to offer thanks for his surprise victory.

You just need to scroll before the photos of Elon Musk’s visit to see Neti in Israel.
Mark Rehbein said – “… milei is an actual WEF young global leader…”
… and has any good ever come from ANY Young Global Leader?
(Hint: the question is rhetorical).
Just BTW, Klaus Schwab boasted on video about having successfully subverted the Argentinian government. How does Mr. Milei now factor into all of this?
We shall see.
But don’t hold your breath waiting for any “White Hats” to come save us. We’re on our own, folks, here in the only nation in recorded human history to have an entire continent all to itself.
His first act of state was grab his beanie and jet off to Israel. So the short answer is: Argentina is jewed. I know it’s more semitically correct to say screwed, but then I am both a racist and semitically incorrect.
Another way I see this is that I’m wrong. Where this Milei character is a genuine anarcho-capitalist – is the real deal and will at least try to fulfil his fantastic pledges and expectations he created in the minds of the slaves..
However, politics (again) is never honest or fair… If he’s the potential solution many believe he could be, he’ll be another Kary Mullis (the late father of the PCR test), before too long and die of a ‘mysterious’ sudden illness…
But again: stop believing there is a political solution to this global coup. There simply isn’t one – it’s all rigged in more ways than one and has been thus for centuries. We need to rid the world of these parasites no matter how saint-like or blatantly tyrannical they are.
They’re all in it together and even the ones who genuinely care about us will not be able to do anything.
They are far too small, thanks to the naivety of the sleepwalking herd, who are influenced by the fake promises of coercive, loud-mouthed tyrants they follow on TV and ‘social media’, who are LED to believe those good people who try to expose the lies of the major parties are all dangerous misinformation spreading conspiracy theorists etc..
IOW: It’s hopeless.
milei is an actual WEF young global leader – everyone is counting chickens before they are hatched
I’m pressed for time right now, but simple and straight: NO, he cannot and WILL not ‘fix’ anything
They’re all in this SCAM together – all part of the long planned evil agenda to impoverish, enslave and destroy us, and everything we enjoy.
When will the rest of you wake up? It’s all one big con act – a happy little pantomime to keep your spirits up.
These liars are not there for us. NONE of them! ALL of them, regardless of their political associations are just that – politicians. There is NO POLITICAL SOLUTION to this. ALL of them are involved and play their parts in destroying us and our entire civilization.
NONE of them care about us, although many of them are very good actors and are therefore very good at convincing us they do. They are evil and they ALL tell LIES.
Look at Trump for instance… How many of those wonderful promises he made before and after he became POTUS did he actually honour? Yes, lots of warm & fuzzy sweet talk, but at the end of the day he still PROUDLY pats himself on the back, bragging I am The father of the Vaccine’. Just a mass-murdering, lying narcissist, who should be swinging from a gallows erected in NY Times Square. Yet people everywhere including here on CN still believe him and believe that his fairy tale army of ‘White Hats’ are coming to save us. 🤦♂️🤣
This new (S)election result in Argentina is nothing more than another fresh blast of hopium to keep your spirits up. All elections are rigged and ALL politics is corruption and lies. All put there by the globalist controllers in the UN and Davos to fool us into believing things will change, if a different slave master cracks the whip. This has been happening since the beginning of civilization. WAKE UP!
DONT fall for it again and of course, do not comply.
I like the idea of cleaning up the public service . Ki

Argentina, Argentina, how is it relevant to Australia?
Well, FWIW, at the turn of the 20th Century, Australia and Argentina between them had by far the highest standards of living on Earth. But for good fortune and the vagaries of history, Australia might have followed Argentina’s trajectory into repeated mayhem and national bankruptcy over the last century. Australia’s present economic path doesn’t inspire confidence.
And Argentina is potentially poised to be a bellwether for the world, a possible Canary in the Coal Mine, a torch-bearer illuminating a path out of the dystopian totalitarian Hunger Games mapped out for us by the mass-murdering baby-eating Luciferian Globalist psychopaths.
Or a Judas Goat leading us all into perdition.
FWIW, Mr. Milei seems to have some good ideas and convictions – mainly in promoting the interests of the Argentinian people over the parasitic so-called “elites”.
And some bad ones, depending on one’s perspective. He supports Ukraine, for example, and disavows China in favour of the USA. Pegging Argentina to the US Dollar is possibly a smart albeit controversial idea, given Martin Armstrong’s assertion that American fiat will be the last Western currency to collapse (but it WILL fall, folks, sometime before 2032).
The shortest distance between two points in any cartesian dimensional context is supposed to be a straight line, but who says a circuitous route is any worse?
IOW, the destination is arguably more important than the journey – whatever that place turns out to be.
Mr. Milei’s WEF roots are cause for suspicion or at least discomfort. We shall see.
Meanwhile, why does Mr. Milei have the general appearance of a Lycan?
Removing parasites allows a body to heal itself and prosper
