Murdoch after a reader?

In Australia, Murdoch is pivotal as a threat to our democracy’s survival. Your readers may wish to know why. Murdoch owns 70% of all print news, has bought out most independent papers then closed down their publications, and he controls SBS and ABC.

If John Pilger is to be believed, and his arguable status as our foremost geopolitical veteran writer and author suggests he should; then Murdoch also controls every mainstream journalist.

He even commands rewrites of official Australian history if this serves his agenda. Here is an example: In 1976, he sacked his NT News editor, Jim Bowditch. Bowditch was renowned as a fearless advocate for justice and public interest and was both reviled and hated by corrupt politicians from Canberra to Darwin. It was well-known that the Everingham Government would do anything to get rid of him.

Thus, Bowditch was prosecuted for DUI, but in fact was sleeping in the back of his car, which he did every night to ensure he was sober when later driving home. The Everingham Government had passed a secret law that defined having one’s key in the ignition constituted DUI, even if asleep in the back of the vehicle. But secret laws are unlawful. Every new law must appear in the Public Notices, the Post Office Notice Board, and the Government Gazette, which was not done. This is why “Ignorance of the law is no excuse”.

The DUI prosecution justified Bowditch’s sacking. Some astute lawyer later warned Murdoch he was part of a conspiracy to corrupt the course of justice which, like contempt of court, requires an inflexible prison sentence. So Murdoch spent millions of dollars to change recorded history and divert attention elsewhere, including official volumes. All media records and history texts declare Bowditch was sacked in 1973, for offending the powerful Paspally family… a pure fabrication. A great many people were paid off.

Last December, I requested that the librarian of the brand new parliamentary library in Darwin, make copies of the prosecution documents. The next day I drove to Darwin to collect these, only to discover the library was under lockdown. Security informed me nobody, including staff, was allowed entry due to a dangerous fungus. We are talking new building with all documents and books treated to prevent such an event. Draw your own conclusions.

The next day, when embarking on another journey, I discovered my front wheel nuts had been loosened. When I returned to my caravan that night, I realised the outside fridge had been tampered with. Not being the paranoid type, I nevertheless erred on the side of sensible caution and threw out all the food except for a single pork chop, thinking that this alone would be too difficult to poison. And I was very hungry. And I like pork chops.

For the next two weeks, I was very ill. The hospital could identify no cause. Feeling like I was dying, I returned to the security of Arnhem Land and one of the Aboriginal women healers set up a smoking ceremony, rubbed leaves and bark into the small of my back, and four hours later I was up and walking. But it was still several weeks before I regained my health.

Nine months later, arrived the brake and anti-roll bar incident. Of course, this could all be pure coincidence. Anyway, Rupert Murdoch is the reason we are reliant on Cairns News and its courageous staff for our access to genuine news and a democratic voice. We are besieged and fighting for our freedom.
