Legislation that allows high-risk terrorist offenders to remain detained after their jail sentences end must be introduced quickly in the wake of recent global attacks, the prime minister says.

Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull has asked Attorney-General George Brandis to convene a meeting of his state and territory counterparts as soon as possible, to consider the scheme and agree on the design.

‘This is a significant public safety and security issue and our governments must do all we can to protect the community from individuals posing a high risk of reoffending and/or those in need of continued rehabilitation,’ Mr Turnbull wrote in a letter to premiers and chief ministers on Sunday.

The proposed post-sentencing preventative detention scheme would allow for continued imprisonment of high-risk convicted terrorists, similar to processes already in place for sex offenders and violent criminals.

The federal government and state premiers agreed to the scheme at the meeting of the Council of Australian Governments in Canberra in April.

Mr Turnbull last week asked Australia’s counter-terrorism co-ordinator, Greg Moriarty, for ideas on how to prevent lone wolf attacks following the Nice massacre.

The terror threat level has been at ‘probable’ since September 2014, meaning individuals or groups have developed both an intent and capability to conduct a terrorist attack in Australia.

Pauline Hanson, who’s Senate seat is expected to be confirmed, says people jailed for terror-related crimes should be kicked out of the country upon their release.

‘I wouldn’t trust them to be rehabilitated … I want to kick them out of the country,’ she told Seven Network.

  1. I agree with Pauline. Islam produces mental disease. Why should we pay to keep these scum in jail for life? Better to deport them to any islamic country that will take them. If no one will then put them in solitary in one of the offshore processing centers and leave them there. Let the UN pay for their upkeep.

  2. I did research into a grammatical error relating to the Justice department, banking and legal and government documents, discovering that the all uppercase text used on government and court documents is a form of debased Latin, called DOG-LATIN rendering such documents as criminal and counterfeit. I went to the federal and state police and to the local members of Parliament with my concerns, but I received a hostile response, and found that I have been labeled as a terrorist on police files. I have never done anything wrong in my life and assumed that I was doing the right thing by reporting the grammatical legal error, now to find that what I did in reporting such an error has caused the government to lable me as a terrorist. What is the real reason behind such laws?… what happens to good men that try to correct a fault in our own government?… are we locked in prison?… for doing the right thing??? The constitution states that its our duty to report a fault in the governing system, so what went wrong???… If the Rothschilds own the Australian Federal Reserve bank, than how can the Australian Notes be legal tender of the Government when only the Government has the right to print money, or has our government been sold out to a private banker? Is that why the DOG-LATIN is now appearing on government documents?… because the government is a counterfeit???…

    • I agree…. Except on my research, where capita or upper case letters are used in such instances they represent a corporation… Up until early 1930s, and for example, this text United States of America was abbreviated in lower case letters.. usa. Then later became USA… Our birth certificates are all done in capital letters, we are considered a corporation… We have the ability to earn money and pay taxes… What does a corporation have these days…. A president, vice president, treasurer, secretary…. How does the US government go… Same thing
Our birth certificates are done by register…. Which was from King Regis… Hence register, and came about to recognise slaves and slave ownership…
All this and more was told to me by someone who had studied law for 5 years…
Understand in authoritive terms doesn’t mean what we know what they are talking about… It simply means you are beneath them… Way different language in law they use…

    • Yes .. they are traitors working for Zion to enslave we goyim and gentiles just as they’ve done to the Palestinians , that’s why all CEOs of all major broadcasters , corporations , government departments , main stream media etc are all jews .. and for exactly the same reasons why you can have a secure job now in this country only if you are freemason or zionist

      • Peter, we welcome your comments as we endorse freedom of speech, but your assumption that ALL in power are Jewish is way off the mark as with your secure jobs assumption allowing only Freemasons or Zionists. After that we do need to remove the power of the self appointed masters duopoly [labor and libs] first, then return the voice of the people to parliament.

  3. This is a poor attempt to placate the Australian public about the high risk we are facing due to irresponsible migration.

Jail for terrorists for the term of their natural life, which will be overturned with a change of Government.

In jail they will continue to convert and recruit other loose canons to continue the threat to Australia.

These fanatics have proven they have no allegiance to Australian flag or laws, they should be removed from the country deemed NEVER TO RETURN.

Jail terms will further clog our jails with those whose aim is to kill us and our way of life. AT OUR EXPENSE! No thank you! OUT with them to the ME.

  4. carmen Spence

Yes, We the people of Australians wan these terrorist deported never to return, to Australia..

  5. That thing isn’t my politician ….

  6. How the hell can you link the Nice atrocities to Muslims – what a disgraceful rage …

  7. Deport them on conviction- why should we pay for their comfort? They will only cause a stir in jail and radicalise more idiots.

  8. I agree whole heartedly with Pauline, of course they should be booted out, if they are guilty they should be deported immediately not put in jail here, why should we pay to keep them here?? Get rid of them straight away, we don’t need them here at all.

  9. Why keep them safe in our prisons from the victoms familys at tax payers expense?? Why deport them so they can continue terroriseing somewhere else??…..reinstate CAPITAL PUNISHMENT i say….and end their influence on anyone else…ZERO TOLERANCE FOR TERRORISTS!….our govt are too weak too tolerant….thats why it will get alot worse and the govt will be guilty of putting us the people at risk…
ALL TERRORISTS BELONG 6 FOOT UNDER…TRUE JUSTICE…WAKEUP OR THEY WILL PUT US 6 FOOT UNDER…

  10. Any one found guilty of these sort of crimes need to be executed. There is no such thing as rehabilitation.

  11. These ‘ terrorists’ have their koran ‘on the rocks’. The origin of all islamic behaviour contrary to that of the West is their holy koran. We cannot deal with the isiocy of jihad until all the islamic apologists realise that the basis for their behaviour is their undying belief in the teachings if Mohammed- he alone has declared the support for the killing of unbelievers. Muslims must denounce the koran or at least the violent teachings if Mohammed. He was evil, a genocidal maniac, a paedophile, a warmonger, a politician, supremacist, expansionist and a cruel unmitigated theocrat who used fear and submission of the young and old to satisfy his lust for power and control. What a great start to a belief system that is threatening our very democracy , existance and survival; a belief system that believes we originated from a clot of blood (from whom). Don’t waste my time!

  12. H Clayton-Callaghan

As soon as CONVICTED send them to prison in Saudi Arabia. ..black listed FOREVER from EVERY NON islamic country

  13. We should kick them out from the country ASAP together with Turdbull as well. He can then support and enhance their Islamic traditions in some bloody Islamic country, not in Australia.

  14. Susanne McDonald

Why pay all that money and keep them in our goals at an enormous cast to the tax payers. Once found guilty, why not return them to their own country or maybe Bali. Where they will be treated the way they should be, as terrorist, criminals. Never to be allowed back in our country. There whole family as well so the tax payer doesn’t have to pay for them.

  15. Totally agree, Deport upon conviction.

  16. Ann Rutherford

It doesn’t make sense to fill our jails with these scum when our jails are already overcrowded. Send them all back to their own countries and let their Governments deal with them!!

  17. Bring back the death penalty !!! More cost and Sercurity effective!

  18. Yogi Broomhall

I can only say this they kick a footballers dad out of the country and many others for being “naughtier or biker related ” yet this numbnut wants us to pay for him to be recruiting others or disrupting the system with petty claims, costing us even more in legal fees , either deport them or come out and do what your wallet tells you to do secretly help them.

  19. Deportation is the only answer. Why should the taxpayer feed and look after this scum. Pauline is absolutely right. If there was a vote on this I for one know which way it would go. Immediate deportation and confiscation of passport.

  20. Deport them when convicted, never to return. This is what the Australian people want , but as usual the very conceited and arrogant Malcolm Turnbull does not listen to the people. Too full of his own importance.

  21. Kick them out, with their families.

  22. I agree with the previous five comments – whole heartedly.

  23. Deport on conviction. Why give Mudslimes a holiday at taxpayers expense? If born in Australia, then drop them off here. -39.929844, 157.246222

  24. They deport Kiwis who have committed no crimes at all, so why the hell should these people be allowed to stay. Talk about double standards

  25. Catherine Bowles

I agree with Pauline that terrorists should be kicked out of Australia. We should not have to spend huge amounts of money keeping them in prison. I think they should be deported immediately so we don’t waste Australian dollars on them. The money would be better spent feeding and housing our hungry, homeless Australians.

  26. Yes…they should be kicked out..why should we as taxpayers support them in prison or anywhere else..

  27. The world as we know it has change because people are preporting to act on behalf of Muslims when they are just a few. We welcome them into our beautiful country but once here I believe they must abide by Australians.

    • Totally right…Pauline Hanson…they are welcome here but to live as Australians…no 4 wives…no burkas…no islamic schools…no demands..no Sharia law…no Halal certification…and the list goes on….if they commit a crime and don’t abide by the law..deport them…no jail here for us to pay for…and no more refugees.

  28. Death penalty no one should have to pay for the scum

  29. I agree holeheartedly with Pauline Hanson she is the onky one standing up for Australians.

  30. Yes send them back to their own country we don’t won’t them hear or their laws they are not welcome Ned kelly was a good man compared to these mongral , rapist, child molesters

  31. Turnbull needs to start listening Ro the people we di not want Muslim immigration in Australia otherwise Turnbull is going to be remembered as the prime minister that fucked Australia.
    Pauline for prime minister
    And minister for foreign affairs
    And minister for fair trade
    Before it can’t be undone

  32. Kick them out, and all their relatives as well.

  33. Pauline is right 100%

  34. I agree with Pauline my father defended Australia in the war along with many other Australian fathers for this country’s freedom. Deport them, we do not need them in our jails or their families. It’s a sad world we live in with terrorist, please Australia.

    • Well said Karen but until we end the duopoly control of government we will suffer the consequences of these self appointed masters destroying our Australia from within.

  35. Obviously just jailing them is nit working. There needs to be a greater deterrent. If we can’t bring back the death penalty (and I am not advocating for that) then maybe – just maybe Pauline is right. If they are risking their WHOLE family being sent back to wherever their roots are then maybe the families will stop protecting and covering up for these terrorists!

    • Well said Christine ~ We must remove the political correct duopoly self appointed master dictatorship, then we can return the nation to the people, then deal with the issues the voiceless people are demanding.

  36. It’s utterly ridiculous that Australian taxpayers have to pay to keep these brainwashed terrorists alive, when all they want to do is wipe us all out!! Keep them in jail long enough to sort through the whole family and extended family, get them all together, strip them of all assets they may have gained whilst living here (give the proceeds to victims of terrorist acts?), put them *all* on a plane and send them back to the hellhole they came from… and want to turn Australia into.
At the same time, release details overseas that they aided Australian authorities with information about other ISIS linked terrorists 🙂
Then we shouldn’t have to worry about them at all, ever.

And if you don’t want to do that, or disagree with it, then bring back the death penalty. I’m all for that.
