This charts the effects but none of the causes. A country that has existed for 2,500 years cannot be given to another country. Perhaps we should have stopped and asked in 1972 why they would kill athletes. Probably it was the huge land grab in 1967 and especially Jerusalem that caused it. I was living and working in Lebanon then. The City of Jerusalem the UN suggested should be an International City but Israel wanted it all for themselves although they are only 0.2% of the worlds religion. I visited Jerusalem in 1967 before the June war. It was peaceful, there were no walls, no checkpoints, it was just as it had been for 2,500 years in Palestinian hands. Jerusalem is a city of three major faiths Christianity has 2 billion adherents, Islam has 1 billion and there are 18 million Jewish people in the world.
Ancient Israel ceased to exist in 722 BC Judah existed until the 6th Century BC and the temple in Jerusalem was destroyed by the Romans in 70 AD. Israel has no legitimate claim to Palestine and until the wrongs done in 1948 and in 1967 are corrected, the 0.2% of the
worlds people will continue to terrorise and murder the legitimate owners.
