Diesel prices now hitting $3 per litre or $13.65 a gallon in Australia
After watching the events of this year (2026), I am now certain of one thing: the global wave of refinery attacks, pipeline sabotage, and refining closures is not a market accident, a run of bad luck, or the invisible hand of supply and demand. It is a deliberate choke-point campaign, and the choke point is refineries.
Crude oil in the ground is nothing. It feeds nothing, fuels nothing, moves nothing. Only a refinery turns crude into diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, fertilizer feedstock, and the petrochemical building blocks that keep food, transport, and healthcare systems running. Kill the refineries and you kill all of it at once. That is why I have repeatedly warned that this global wave of refinery attacks seems intended to starve billions of humans to death [1]. It is the physical kill shot aimed at civilization itself, and it is being fired across every front at the same time.
The timing, the targeting, and the coordinated pressure across Ukraine, Russia, the Middle East, Europe, and even the American Midwest do not look random to me. They look like a choreographed takedown of the world’s refining capacity — the energy choke point that no modern society can survive losing. From drone strikes on Russian refineries to the shutdown of the Joliet refinery near Chicago, the pattern is unmistakable.
A Pattern, Not a Coincidence: Refineries Under Fire on Every Front
Start with Russia and Ukraine. Ukraine has been hitting Russian oil refineries with drone strikes on an almost daily basis, and Russia — once the world’s second-largest exporter of diesel fuel — has now banned diesel exports entirely [2]. President Trump went so far as to warn Ukrainian President Zelensky to halt these strikes, yet they continue. This is not battlefield necessity. It is a systematic campaign against the refining capacity that Russia uses to fund its war machine, and the industrial fallout is now global. Commodity desks at Goldman, Citi, Bank of America, and Jefferies have all warned that disruptions in the Strait of Hormuz and Ukraine’s drone campaign on Russian energy infrastructure are converging into “a perfect storm for global fuel supplies” [3].
Now map the same pattern across the Middle East. Saudi Arabia shut down its vital East-West Pipeline after multiple drone attacks damaged the pumping stations [4], removing roughly 700,000 barrels per day of export capacity [5]. Libya’s largest operating refinery was hit by drone attacks so repeatedly that the National Oil Corporation warned it could shut down entirely [6]. Houthi strikes targeted a Saudi refinery on the Red Sea coast while the group announced a maritime blockade of Saudi oil exports [7]. Iran has effectively closed the Strait of Hormuz, the 21-mile-wide passage responsible for 20 percent of global oil and one-third of LNG exports [8]. And a new analysis indicates that 75 critical energy assets have been damaged or destroyed in hostilities across the Gulf region [9].
Then bring it home to the United States. On a Sunday in Channahon, Illinois, a grid failure knocked out ExxonMobil’s Joliet refinery, triggering emergency flaring and a full operational outage that wiped roughly 11 million gallons per day of gasoline and diesel off the Midwest market [10]. I wrote years ago about mysterious explosions at natural gas facilities and sabotage against our nation’s infrastructure — including the BP refinery in Oregon, Ohio, that processed 160,000 barrels a day and went up in flames [11], and the Colonial Pipeline shutdown that left thousands of gas stations dry [12]. In California, Phillips 66 closed its Wilmington refinery in October 2025, removing 139,000 barrels per day, and Valero shut its Benicia refinery on January 31, 2026 after a staggering $1.1 billion loss [13]. Officials call each event an accident. When I see the same “accident” repeated across four continents in eighteen months, I stop believing in coincidence.
Why Refining Is the Choke Point That Controls Everything
People talk endlessly about oil prices, as if a barrel of crude mattered. It does not. Not directly, anyway. Refining is where the crude becomes useful — where it turns into diesel, gasoline, jet fuel, and the feedstock for fertilizer, plastics, and petrochemicals. I see this refinery takedown timed with the war on Iran, fertilizer shortages, and diesel scarcity to produce a global energy collapse first and a global food collapse immediately after. In March 2026, Iranian drone strikes crippled QatarEnergy’s Ras Laffan and Mesaieed facilities, halting LNG production instantly [17], with two of the 14 LNG trains destroyed and repair timelines of three to five years [18]. The International Energy Agency released a record 400 million barrels from emergency reserves after the Strait of Hormuz closure sparked the largest supply disruption in recorded history [19]. This is not a market cycle. This is an engineered pattern of destruction. I have said plainly that the great starvation is not an accident — it is an engineered depopulation event [20].
The asymmetry of the crisis is what breaks my heart. Farmers in the United States may pay anything for diesel to harvest existing crops, because we still have capital and machinery. But farmers in India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, and across Africa may simply not buy diesel at all when the price triples. They will not plant. They will not harvest. They will blame AI, China, or Russia for the collapse, then claim they are saving us while imposing digital ID, CBDC, and total financial control. The same people who sabotaged the energy grid will likely be the same ones who offer themselves as the only saviors from the crisis they created. When the financial reset arrives, they will offer programmable money as the solution to a problem they manufactured. We must be prepared to resist.

I don’t think it’s a ‘kill shot’ although it would cause a lot of stress in the food chain.
I think it’s a push towards a financial crash.
Apparently the US is in dire straights financially being that their plan was to pay for the bailout using the Bitcoin etcetera that they created (probably via the CIA) , they apparently planned to create that system and then push up it’s value (like Bitcoin) to pay off the national debt. But something went wrong and their plan is now defunct.
So the Petrodollar was the other part of the plan and that is why they grabbed Venezuela’s oil fields.
Somewhere in amongst their moves and manoeuvres the arse fell out of it.
Seeing how the Rothschild’s banking system is the main powerhouse and that is the financial arm of the Vatican we can reasonably assume that the US demise is being orchestrated by the Vatican.
This looks to be a massive reshuffle of the world’s powerhouse.
BRICS would have taken over, but just this week India pulled out via a suspected massive bribe or threat to Modi. (no explanation about that as yet)
That made China unload many billions of US dollars which then is causing more grief for the US monetary position.
So right now that mess is still in ‘dust settling’ mode.
Either way, it seems that the Vatican is pulling the strings and Australia is not immune to Vatican control.

Simply pass laws that give the immediate death penalty to all involved in any fuel sabotage, either in your home country or abroad, and involving anyone from government level to banking or industry any other public or private interests. Only allow wartime sabotage of fuel or wells.
I certainly agree with everything written by Mike Adams. However, I also expect to perish, as a 72 year old woman, with my 99 year old mom, under my care.
My mom and I worked for years, and trusted these tyrants, with the SS contract between workers and government.
Both my mom and I have not used Medicare insurance since 2016, yet we both pay monthly premiums, hopefully to be there for emergencies. Organized criminal behavior at its best, government destroying its own people. Pure evil
To solve the diesel shortage transport companies should be buying petrol powered engines instead .
All heavy trucks were running on petrol until diesel became cheaper to buy .
The next 4×4 I buy will be petrol in the torque range that suits towing .
