THE wildfires that swept Victoria have died down, leaving in their wake one deceased man, some 350 destroyed buildings, more than 15.000 dead livestock and and hundreds of Victorians shattered by injury and loss of family homes, farms and machinery.
And an open letter to Premier Allen from Country Fire Authority volunteers, the United Firefighters Union and the Across Victoria Alliance Group has laid the blame fairly and squarely on Premier Jacinta Allen and her government.
Hit hardest were small country hamlets like Harcourt, Longwood, Ghin Ghin, Yarck and Ruffy. The wildfires that swept across dry grass paddocks, undergrowth and “protected” trees and shrubs left these exposed tiny towns even more bereft of buildings than they already were.
The hamlet of Ruffy, in the central Victorian sheep and cattle district between the Hume Freeway and the Victorian high country, only a few buildings were left on the main street, including the town hall and Country Fire Authority (CFA) shed.
Ruffy local Theo Lagarde, a CFA volunteer lieutenant, lost his home and said many questions were running through his mind since the bushfires, including whether they could actually rebuild.
In a big-picture view, the fires simply sped up what the Agenda 2030 central planners are doing – making life difficult for rural dwellers whose traditional farming activities and small, self-sufficient communities are inimical to the concept of locking up and “wilding” the landscape and moving humans into digitally surveilled and controlled big urban centres.
During the fires Premier Allan herself told Victorians not to visit their fire-devastated areas. “You don’t belong there,” she said on national TV. A Freudian slip?
As recently noted by Cairns News, environmentalist policies are literally fueling the fire danger, something repeatedly noted by the fire fighters.
The historic big fires of Black Thursday (1851), Black Friday (1939), Ash Wednesday (1983), and Black Saturday (2009) are lessons that still have not been learned by those in political power.
Those who did know what was going on – the volunteer and professional fire fighters – penned an open letter to the Premier dated January 6th, 2026. The letter’s main points are as follows:
“An Open Letter to:
The Honourable Jacinta Allan,
Premier of Victoria,
1 Treasury Place,
Melbourne VIC 3002.
VICTORIA IS NOT BUSHFIRE READY.”
“Dear Premier,
You are no doubt aware that the peak body representing the Australian Fire Services (Australian and New Zealand Council for Fire and Emergency Services) has issued a deeply alarming forecast for Victoria ahead of the coming summer bushfire season.
In short, the peak body for fire season in Australia has foreshadowed potential catastrophic outcomes which no doubt will result in the loss of life and property if this were to eventuate as predicted.
Premier, collectively we place you on notice that we do not have the resources or equipment to confront such a scenario. This situation is compounded by the all-time low morale of volunteer and career firefighters, as a direct result of your failure to invest in Victoria’s Fire Services.”
Two further extracts from the letter:-
FIRSTLY . . . . . . . “We must be unequivocal: Victoria is amid an aging Fire Truck and equipment crisis, and your government’s failure to act has placed firefighters and the public at avoidable and unnecessary risk.
We have written repeatedly to you, the Treasurer, and the Minister for Emergency Services, outlining how frontline firefighters are being forced to defend life and property using a fleet that is aged, unreliable, and increasingly unsafe. Those warnings have been repeatedly and systematically ignored.
In the meantime, firefighters continue to respond to emergencies every single day, carrying this added burden of stress and uncertainty, when their focus should be on the job at hand unsure whether their own equipment – equipment that should be their lifeline – may fail beneath them.
This is not just unacceptable. It is utterly indefensible. Over 64% of Fire Rescue Victoria’s fleet and approximately 800 CFA fire trucks are over age, in direct contradiction to fleet replacement policy. Some appliances within both FRV and CFA are more than 30 years old and becoming not fit for purpose. No firefighter – and no Victorian community – should have to depend on trucks older than many of the people who serve on them.”
SECONDLY . . . . . . “Compounding these fire truck and equipment failures and an aging fleet, is the alarming decline in fuel-reduction burning across Victoria.
“Hazard-reduction activity has halved since Labor came to power in 2014, despite the government’s own assessments showing that the state’s bushfire risk is now worse than the levels reached in the lead-up to Black Saturday and likely worse than the conditions preceding the 1983, 2003, 2006, 2009 and 2019/20 megafires.
“The State Government has also failed to honour the key recommendation of the 2009 Victorian Bushfires Royal Commission, which required a minimum of 5% of public land to be fuel-reduced each year. In reality, the government has completed only around 20% of the recommended fuel-reduction burns — meaning approximately 80% have not been carried out.
“By allowing risk to climb unchecked while simultaneously failing to maintain a safe, reliable emergency services fleet, the government is exposing communities, volunteers, and career firefighters to unacceptable and avoidable danger.”
John Gault, a prominent resident of Maryborough in Central Victoria, says these are the words of the men and women who are CFA members, UFU Members, AVA Members. “Who knows, if they do not know?” he posted on his Facebook page.
“This is the result of the most appalling lack of good Government in this State, and this government must be held responsible for it. They cannot, and must not be allowed to dodge their way out of this fundamental failure.
“I call on every Victorian to speak, call, write or represent themselves to the Premier and/or their local Member of Parliament, whatever party, and make their feelings well and truly be known to the Government (and the Opposition) in this state.
“This simply has to change, and change now.”

I received information, earlier today, from a bloke I have not see for several months. He said he received information that after the 2019 Black Saturday bushfires people from all over the place donated millions of dollars to the Victorian Government, by some means, to buy firefighting equipment. The source said that that money disappeared and the equipment was never bought, this being obvious from the fact that many of the fire trucks are over thirty years old. The actual amount raised is unknown but I am hoping for further information soon.
If it is another nail in the coffin of the Allen government I would say a lot of people would be very happy.
Will keep you all posted.

Didn’t know the US language was now Australian. Wildfires??? We call them bushfires.

And all green trees around funny that those DEWs sure do a great job just like Maui and the Palisades
Forest Fire Management Victoria should be held wholeheartedly responsible for many of these forest fires because they 100% endorse the Government Of Vic approach of not allowing anyone to pick up any dead sticks or wood. And it is this irresponsible policy which has lead to mega tonnes of dead wood to permanently litter our forest floors. BUT they selfishly allow one exemption to this criminal act & that is to let big business timber companies take the best wood for commercial use while usually trashing acres of good land to set up their processes of so called harvesting but we the average person will be fined huge sums of dosh for even attempting to take a small amount of wood for ourselves to keep ourselves warm. The whole situation has gotten so bad that it can only be called deliberately criminal.
As Governments are corporations and not constitutionally aligned, they would I assume fall under corporate laws, there is ample punishment for corporations in the corporations act that flout laws and do damage to the populace at large, I would think that Government would not be excluded from these laws, all is needed is for some legal beagle to come up with a strategy to sue these government bureaucrats and politicians personally for damages incurred and being negligent in their duties just as a corporate officer in business would, and possible jail time,
if a precedent can be set in this area maybe just maybe we can rid ourselves of these gutless parasites and clean out their wealth along the way, and lock them away for a very long time.
I have considered these issues overnight and my guess this morning is that the governing classes in Victoria are no longer of sound mind, I look at their responses one after another from Moira Deeming’s martyrdom, to machete bins, to banning “Nazi salutes” with cops ignoring symbolic new laws, to workplace harassment incidents, to hiding in a car … the government is having a mental breakdown and the governor should call a new election otherwise the governor is responsible, because mental cases are not legally responsible for their actions so the authority needs to step in by now and terminate them.
Rebuilding Victoria is a major project and would start with building new coal-fired power stations between Geelong and the SA border, these are needed to help rebuild an industrial base. Energy can be condensed into products like manufactured metals or put into thermal batteries like nitrate salts and ammonia and stored locally for when the sun isn’t shining. Unfortunately Victoria is working against the infestation of Globalist interests which are determined to make the place into a case-study for demolition of a society and the lefties don’t realise they are being conscripted. The lefties believe they are onto an endless supply of golden eggs with the overseas students but this is not something to build an entire state on, and will one day fizzle out. To me it seems as if there is a very limited amount of time left to change direction before the whole show goes off the rails, which is actually what the Globalist strategists intend to have done to the state of Victoria, prior to a takeover by some Chinese type entity which is clearly planned. If you in Victoria have grandchildren all this is your problem, don’t imagine it’s my problem, I’m just telling you.
obvious_bob said – “… Obscene, isn’t it, and indicative of the seeming contempt our pollies have for us…”
It sure does SEEM like contempt, doesn’t it? That because it IS.
News flash, folks, they don’t work for us and they don’t answer to us, their job is to EXTERMINATE us.
More people are going to FINALLY figure that out in the next five or six years. A whole lot more will NEVER figure it out because they’re either not too bright or they just don’t WANT to. Lifelong paradigms are hard to shake even for the best and the brightest among us, it’s just so much easier to keep clutching those straws and cranking the same worn out rickety old handles and hoping for the best, and besides, once you’re dead and buried it will hardly seem relevant any more. It’s just getting to the cemetery that hurts, and maybe even worse on the other side depending on whether you’ve been naughty or nice.
Here’s another news flash, folks, what we THOUGHT was our democratic system of governance and what we THOUGHT was our country ISN’T, it’s ALL been hijacked and is now owned lock stock & barrel and managed from top to bottom and inside out by foreign psychopaths that want us all DEAD. Once you understand and ACCEPT that sobering reality, everything comes into focus and makes perfect sense.
The handle-crankers will all just keep cranking those handles and mowing their lawns and getting poorer and hungrier and sicker and ever more desperate while they keep on voting and writing letters to Treasonous mass-murdering psychopaths until their turn comes to fill a grave somewhere. And eventually, one bright and sunny day in the future, the Fat Lady will FINALLY arrive with Mr. Rope and Mr. Lamp Post to turn the tide and save our sorry arses. Those of us still left alive, that is.
Word on the street is another five or six years of this totalitarian democidal nation-destroying BS, folks, and for better or worse and so very tragically, an awful lot of us won’t be around to see it out. Not everyone is going to make it.
And if you doubt that things can’t get immeasurably worse in the very near future, just think over the LAST five or six years and look around, folks – has anyone anywhere ON THE ENTIRE PLANET been held to account for what they’ve ALREADY done? What makes anyone think there’s anything AT ALL to stop these mongrel arsehole bastards going ahead and doing whatever the Hell they’ve been PLANNING for the last couple of centuries?
Just saying.
Maybe you could do the same, MissDaPoint? All hands on deck, you know?
Here you go Obvious Bob…
Maybe you should approach Maurice Blackburn and Co.
440 million class action settlement for the 2011 Brisbane Floods.
Maurice Blackburn filed the floods class action in the Supreme Court of New South Wales on 8th July 2014, seeking compensation for financial loss and damage caused by the negligent operation of Wivenhoe and Somerset dams during the January 2011 flood in South East Queensland. The action is being funded by litigation funder, Omni Bridgeway (formerly IMF Bentham).

Okay, Folks. All done. Sent one minute ago to some of the local Geelong state members, plus Richard Marles and Libby Coker, federal.
Other recipients are : Christine Couzens, Member for Geelong, Bev McArthur, Upper House, Sarah Mansfield, Greens, Upper House, all state.
And with a link to this article.
Bullet bitten:
Greetings, local Members
An FYI for you all on my thoughts regarding the recent disastrous bushfires.
I sincerely hope that the Advertiser publishes my letter at some stage.
I think we need to have a public debate as regards these issues, very soon, and without fail.
Of especial importance is the paltry ONE OFF payments touted by both the state and federal governments, which
I believe should actually cause you all you Honourable members some serious embarrassment.
I look forward to that hoped-for open public debate.
An example of some of the commentary getting around nationally:
https://cairnsnews.org/2026/01/13/how-the-labor-green-radicals-helped-to-burn-down-country-victoria/
Best regards to you all
Gazza
Right on, Dewey. But putting that in a letter to the local Murdoch rag is a sure way to not get your letter published. I want to get a general public discussion going, in places other than Cairns News.
Which is why I suggest that peopel contact their local state and federal Members to nail them and ask WTF is going on here.
And especially about this pathetic ONE OFF payment BS.
This is what one bloke, the first commenter, posted on my government buahfire liability video:
“To date, Australia has committed more than $1.5 billion in assistance to Ukraine. Looks like it was our responsibility to kit the Ukros out with: 56 M113AS4 -(NamAPC) 28 more pledged in June 2023], 120 Bushmaster Protected Mobility Vehicles, 14 Supacat HMT Extenda MK2 special operations vehicles, 28 armoured RMMV HX 40M military trucks with 14 trailers [June 2023, Sentinel 830R rigid hull inflatable boats 14 rigid hull inflatable boats valued at A$14 million, 49 M1A1 Abrams, 6 155m artillery + ammo, Joint manufacture of 155mm artillery ammunition with France with Australia supplying the gunpowder, 105mm artillery ammunition drone tech and a whole lot more. Rumour is 2 million dead / MIA Ukrainians in just a slaughter house with FPVs. The token amounts offered to devastated bush fire victims demonstrates clearly the contempt Oz politicians have for the public they no longer are about or serve.”
Obscene, isn’t it, and indicative of the seeming contempt our pollies have for us.
The $1.5 billion to Ukraine was announced recently by my local Fed, Richard Marles.
Pick up your dead animals in trucks and dump them outside her door.
Of course it won’t make any difference but at least it will draw attention to where you consider the problem to lie.
And if you find the persons responsible for lighting these fires, because they are always doing it, tie them to a tree. Be awful if a fire happened to break out. Nasty? Really? Does the life of the person who died mean nothing?
An eye for an eye doesn’t mean a slaughter, it means giving someone back the same thing they have caused to others. But no more than that.
Forgot the link

Watched that 5 – 10 seconds of the aerial view of the video of a farm in Ruffy, Victoria mentioned in the article by
Cairns News (2026/01/11/environmental-vegetation-obsession-to-blame-for-bushfire-destruction)
I’d like to read or hear a comment from the owner of that farm.
Imagine returning home to find all that’s left of the engine block and wheel trims are couple of 3 – 5 metre long deposits of melted aluminum. Note the truck is parked on what appears to be a graded surface of dirt, not grass. Is one supposed to believe that radiant heat from a few trees is what burned structures to ash and melted vehicle aluminum components into a lava-like consistency?
From what I’ve read, melting the engine block of a ute is 1-2 hours, and that is if the truck is parked inside a furnace. A grass fire is not going to cut it, forget about a dirt fire + radiant heat. If the farmer still has the aluminum souvenir, my recommendation is keep it. Just as dinosaur bones are evidence of a long-lost past, that molten souvenir is evidence of activity that seems to have involved energy weapons against farmers. If the current trajectory of the criminal class can be halted, that souvenir will fetch 10s, if not 100s thousands of dollars in future auctions. They are collectors items, they would sit well in museums. This might be why the areas are being restricted travel areas, evidence of a crime scene needs to secured.
My letter to the local newspaper (Geelong Advertiser) today raising the prospect of a class action over the bushfire damage.
I will be sending tit to some local state politicians-and especially the Green (around the gills?) ones-suggesting that individual agenda-driven Members be sued personally.
This is because the member is supposed to act according to Constitutional requirements, and “…in the best interests of their constituents.”
The latter does, and will not, not happen when you are agenda -driven:
“Dear Editor
It seems like a class action against the Victorian government may be in the offing.
In recent days the fire services organisations have collectively written to Premier Allen detailing the negligence of hers and the previous Andrews
governments in the funding and maintenance of the state’s firefighting appliances, a large number of which are many years beyond being obsolete
and unreliable.
The Fireys also mentioned the lack of preparation for what have been known to be potentially catastrophic fire seasons, that potential having been
realised recently.
Also amongst the Firey’s concerns have been the mitigation of fuel loads in the bush-no back burning allowed-and the prohibition on the cutting of the
historically proven preventive value fire breaks in our forests.
My own opinion is that the environmental legislation has proved to be absolutely detrimental, rather than the opposite, to the well-being of rural communities,
which are have endured the brunt of the massive destruction in the recent fires.
The legislation has resulted in destruction, not preservation, of our bush and rural communities, and the government needs to pay the price for the
restoration and reconstruction of these communities, as their idiotic legislation and negligence is the root cause of this current destruction.”
I would suggest that people like Pat From Vic do the same.
And once again (and thanks, Ed., for the original posting) my video on the subject, which has been sent to my contact at the Natimuk pub, and will be sent elsewhere in fire-affected Victoria as well:
https://rumble.com/v747tt6-victorian-and-australian-governments-liable-over-the-bushfires-some-reasons.html
The government negligence outlined by the Fireys peak body in this article needs massive a massive push from all of us.
That the people in those areas mentioned “do not belong there” reeks of agenda, so we have to gang up on them all and put them on Notice, and maybe set about sacking them as per the Cheran article Cairns News published some time ago.
There is a video circulating of the leader of the state of Victoria hiding in a car scared to come out because of a bunch of disgruntled old rural dwellers, this is a new excuse, the leader is scared to come out. I think we will get all female leaders now because male leaders could not pull off this slimy excuse. If you’re scared of a few old people why would you get into public politics. Maybe she has mental problems. Is she being blackmailed ? I can’t make sense of it, unless of course she’s just lying.
The author mentioned – “… And an open letter to Premier Allen…”
Who?
Means nothing to me, which rock did this new slimy self-annointed ladder-climbing Satanic baby-eating totalitarian arsehole crawl out from under?
Don’t know & don’t care, NONE of these disgusting craven anti-Australian democidal scum work for us or answer to us, so why are we even wasting time writing nice letters that they’ll just wipe their fat priveleged arses on while they’re all living the high life dancing on our corpses and scheming who’s next in line for extermination?
Mr. Rope and Mr. Lamp Post are much MUCH better qualified to strike up suitable liason with these greedy Treasonous treacherous murderous mongrel arsehole bastards, while the common folk would be light years ahead by determining their own best interests FOR THEMSELVES and acting accordingly.
Thank you for this reporting…for sharing these crucial comments.
A few years ago I saw what the government of Victoria purchased ,new fire trucks for the CFA ,they removed their air-conditioning units and supplied crew cabs attached the trucks that had a gap between them of a few inches allowing the occupants no comfort and exposing them to the flames all around them as well as lowering the oxygen level inside each vehicle .
As I understand it, bushfires require two things – a combustible fuel load and a source of ignition. Heat, of itself, is not a source of ignition, in spite of BOM and MSM efforts to conflate the two. Granted lightning strikes can be a natural cause of ignition, but how many fires are actually caused by them? There may be other natural causes which firefighters are aware of, but it seems to me that, accidentally or deliberately, the majority are caused by human beings. The Victorian fires appear to have all the hallmarks of being deliberately caused by human beings, and rather than accepting them as an act of God, it would be worth investigating (and exposing) who is likely to benefit from this disaster. The Lahaina fires in Hawaii seem to have set a precedent for what has happened in Victoria, both in terms of damage and in government response.
Burn Back Better. BBB = 666.
Editor, you can write that it is the Labor Green radicals who helped to burn down rural Victoria, but it is the Victorian people who allowed them to do it: first by voting them into power, then by sitting aside and allowing them to introduce the policies.
“The government you elect is the government you deserve.” – Thomas Jefferson.
The Victorian people deserve EVERYTHING that has happened to them. Just as the Westboro Baptist Church founder wrote in the aftermath of the 2009 bushfires: “God hates Australia. Thank god for fiery deaths of hundreds.” Most Victorians are vaccinated atheists who support divorce and sodomy, so their suffering is a good thing.
If they don’t like it, maybe they should vote for a different shabbos goy (politician) next election. It’s so simple: just vote harder.
Victorians = bovine.
These fires did not “just speed up the 2030 Agenda”.. they are a planned purpose-driven part of the 2030 Agenda.!! The non-planning in conjunction with the pleadings of those who know about bushfires & fighting them… the old worn out trucks & vital equipment.. the sheer ignorance of all governments that have totally abandoned those living in rural areas… mandating that the bush floors be left unattended instead of carrying out the required “cool burning” effectively done in years past.. & which the aboriginal people carried out in their time… the spraying from the skies of materials that dry out the foliage encouraging rampant fires. Are DEW involved in starting said fires..?.. unheard of in years past as being so ferocious, intense & extensive. All designed to herd the “cattle” into urban living & under tighter control… 15-minute cities..!! We are not stupid Ms Allen..!!
Dennis.
We have enough problems with the damned Christians churches before we turn on Islam.
Those evangelical, pentecostal, born again, rapture believing whackos who support Israel.
Queers in the pulpit. On the wrong side of politics.
Why I no longer call myself a Christian.
I should add to that, that politicians and top bureaucrats houses and workplaces should be next on the agenda.
Might as well rid ourselves of all the rubbish at the same time.
My suggestion is that whoever is lighting these fires from the sky, only burn Islamic buildings and areas in all major cities. That way, at least something useful is achieved.
