The Albanese Government claims it’s about “safety,” but the reality is chilling: censorship, surveillance, and permanent political control.
This proposal would force platforms to erase lawful content, monitor what you say, and obey unelected bureaucrats who decide what is “harmful.”
Imagine needing to show ID just to comment on the news or discuss politics.
One wrong move and companies face multimillion-dollar fines, so they will always choose censorship over risk.

It looks like the ABC is starting/continuing the Digital ID/Social Credit score indoctrination (the intellectual giants who watch that station will be suitably enthralled-watch the Letters column in the brain dead Melbourne Age for clues) on tonight’s If You’re Listening show, which droned on for a while about it, as I did something else for five minutes or do and they were doing a soft soap on China’s FR program. Didn’t bother with much of it, but do express my disappointment, once again with George C and his Citizen Go petition baloney. George needs to wake up a bit, as still irretrievably in La La Land on these issues.

If the govt thinks that this is the best way to control what people think to save their sorry @rses then they have totally underestimated human beings.
They will have lost their insight into what people are really thinking as people switch off and go and do silly things like, oh I don’t know,…
Maybe have friends over for dinner and actually converse in person. Maybe they will forget their mobile phones because they’re not as useful or needed anymore. Maybe they’ll do something silly like go and read a book. What the heck! I might even start reading my Bible again.
Wouldn’t they hate that.
You never know it might all just backfire on them and it starts a Christian revival as people realise that they really can’t trust the govt, they can’t trust the internet and the government has really only left them one option…. To turn to God with their whole heart and repent for spending so much time doomscrolling on the toilet.
Either way us humans win!
