Nuclear power plant in Georgia emitting steam from its cooling towers

Letter to the Editor

A late entry for the ‘anti-carbon-cult’ story. Commenting on “It’s negative side is waste storage, although there are plenty of safe places in Australia where you could store the spent, radioactive fuel.” Nuclear does have positive attributes such as 0.022 deaths per TWh compared to 32.72 for brown coal, indicating how toxic hydrocarbons (so-called fossil fuel) can be. But Hydro/Wind/Solar have far less deaths per TWh so it’s not a good metric as Wind etc has far better performance.

(Queensland produces mostly good quality black coal for its power stations and emissions over the past 25 years or more after the installation of highly efficient emission scrubbers have reduced their sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter (PM2.5 and PM10) to safer, low levels. Cairns News research shows the atmosphere is in need of much more carbon dioxide just to maintain current levels of 425.4 ppm and sustain life-Editor)

Penzhin Tidal Power Plant Project in Russia is
projected to produce 89 GW

World Energy is a complex topic, and there are alternatives to explore. Isolating nuclear as a one-stop solution is about as infantile as assuming wind and solar farms, even with large batteries, can produce baseload power. Here are some “facts”:

* Nuclear, once operating, is far less toxic than the by-products of burning oil and coal, although features nuclear waste and large ‘fossil fuel’ extraction and refinement costs.

* The world’s largest power stations are all hydro: 8 stations from 8 to 22 GW. Nuclear is way down the scale!

* A single nuclear reactor, typically 1 GW, takes 15 years and costs around $9 billion to build (subject to x3 cost blowouts!), requires 850,000 tonnes of concrete, and 150,000 tonnes of steel. NONE of this is TRIVIAL!

* As a viable alternative, Small Modular Nuclear Reactors are fabricated in the factory although have limited power and higher end costs per energy unit produced.

* There’s already 250,000 tonnes of nuclear waste worldwide, with no solution in sight on how to dispose, apart from sending it all to Australia. Extensively covered in two news reports: Waste & Weapons for Australia: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-08-09/aukus-radioactive-waste-marles-denies-us-uk-obligation/104184608 . Paul Keating spoke out but was heavily criticized. Also https://kangaroocourtofaustralia.com/2024/07/25/anthony-albanese-and-peter-dutton-go-nuclear-with-their-lies-to-voters/ .

* The consequence here is proliferation of nuclear weapons hardware as well as the world’s dumping ground for nuclear waste. Plenty of places for 250,000 tonnes? Australia is MY back yard, so no thank you.

* As a contrast to a nuclear reactor of 1 GW: The proposed Grand Inga Dam in the Congo is projected to produce 39 GW.

* The Penzhin Tidal Power Plant Project is projected to produce 89 GW, equivalent to 25 nuclear power plants! 40% of Russia’s capacity!

Labor blocks tidal power project in North of Western Australia https://www.abc.net.au/news/2023-07-21/million-dollar-tidal-project-dead-in-the-water-after-decade/102610068

* A smaller bay around Derby in Western Australia has similar tides. Is this viable?

* Australia’s Darwin Solar Park, for the Australia-Asia Power Link, is projected to produce 20 GW.

* World Geothermal is around 20 GW in 2020, projected to be 100 GW by 2050.

* The world’s largest nuclear power station in Japan at just 8 GW (8 1 GW reactors) has been suspended since 2011 due to seismic activity and deliberately falsified data surrounding safety inspections. Never mind the Fukushima disaster!

* A nuclear power station has 3 main pumps. Fukushima meltdown was caused by a seawater breach that disabled these pumps.

* Similarly, a coronal mass ejection from the sun, or an electromagnetic pulse from a nuclear explosion in space, could damage the grid so that diesel-powered generators would eventually run out of fuel, with hundreds of potential meltdowns world-wide.

* Miracle Thorium reactors appear to be a pipe dream, too good to be true. It doesn’t fission without weapons grade uranium or an accelerator, creates less energy, is less economic, and creates a mixed waste stream that is difficult to dispose of. Do we have 50 years to wait for this to come on line?

* Tidal Energy Converters (TECs) are under-water wind turbines that produce ultra-reliable power, due to a satellite called the moon! Unlike intermittent wind turbines. Limited capacity, however.

* Dynamic Tidal Power with a 30km causeway, in contrast, has VAST potential at a developmental stage. Imagine dozens of hydro technology points, a very mature technology, along the length of the causeway!

* Australia’s Regional Hydrogen Hubs program, investing over half a billion dollars to build electrolyser hubs at key locations like Pilbara, Kwinana, Gladstone, Townsville, Bell Bay, Port Bonython, and the Hunter. This is projected to generate $50 billion in additional GDP by 2050. (Most green hydrogen plants have been closed in recent times due to difficulties with production)

* There’s an estimated 10 trillion tonnes of Natural Hydrogen (also termed White or Gold) underground! As opposed to Gray, Blue, Green and Orange hydrogen. Although Aquifiers MUST be protected from over-exploitation.

* Zero-point energy aside, magnetics may yet revolutionise the way energy is produced, as well as gravity.

There are extensive references for all this information, but will have no effect if done alone. Not sure if you’re convinced, but with your support the topic of magnetics can be introduced on this forum, with massive potential.

41 thought on “Nuclear power dream is unsustainable and too expensive similar to inefficient wind and solar”
  1. Dear Ed, Thank you for keeping the debate on Nuclear in Australia going in the recent ‘anti-carbon-cult’ story. Some very strong views so far. Now, of COURSE there’s 1000 years of coal supply, but are the scrubbers clean & effective enough to reduce pollution? Good, hard facts & references from the Energy Supply engineer would be useful, as shown below? There’s certainly Nuclear advantages as follows:
    Deaths per TWh
    Brown coal 32.72
    Coal 24.80
    Oil 18.43
    Gas 2.82
Nuclear 0.022 Construction: 850,000 tons concrete & 150,000 tons steel, 15 years, $9 billion that often blows out, de-commissioning etc. For only a dismal 1GW! See 20-80 GW comparisons further below.
Hydro/Wind/Solar Far Less Deaths! Geothermal presumably as well.
    Source: https://earth.org/nuclear-energy-silver-bullet-for-clean-energy/ .
https://earth.org/nuclear-which-is-the-safest-energy-source/ indicates hydro, wind and solar all have considerably lower ‘death footprints’ than nuclear. Both articles imply hydrocarbons (so-called ‘fossil fuels’) are incredibly toxic to people and the planet. It is suggested that Deaths per TWh is significant, but NOT a good metric to choose Nuclear as Wind etc has far better performance.
https://earth.org/nuclear-which-is-the-safest-energy-source/ however suggests that nuclear power plants can often be very expensive to construct. While nuclear fission is highly efficient, mining and refinement of uranium is quite energy intensive, with the risk of catastrophic incidents and the as yet un-solved problem of radio-active waste. While little waste is generated, 250,000 tonnes to date is not insignificant. Then there’s an existential risk to human civilization given associated weaponry application.
NUCLEAR is in the News in Australia right now, a dangerous precedent. Want Nuclear? You’ll get it in more ways than one. Although denied, Australia would become the world’s nuclear waste dump, with a proliferation of nuclear weapon technology. That’s because this technology has NOT evolved in Australia, and would be totally foreign owned and controlled! If this seems hard to believe, there are TWO news reports that cover this topic extensively:

    Waste & Weapons for Australia: https://www.abc.net.au/news/2024-08-09/aukus-radioactive-waste-marles-denies-us-uk-obligation/104184608 .

    Also https://kangaroocourtofaustralia.com/2024/07/25/anthony-albanese-and-peter-dutton-go-nuclear-with-their-lies-to-voters/

Ex-Prime-Minister Paul Keating spoke out, but was heavily criticised. What does THAT say? ALL choices have CONSEQUENCES: the consequence here is proliferation of nuclear weapons hardware as well as the world’s dumping ground for nuclear waste. Plenty of places for 250,000 tonnes? Not in MY back yard, thank you.

Solar and wind are ‘cheap’ to construct but suffer from intermittency and inability to supply base load power. Materials, construction, maintenance, de-commissioning and land use are also politicised factors that may be ignored given massive subsidies distorting viability of this ‘solution’. The European/German experiment suggests a dismal failure of massive wind farm infrastructure. Is it wise to copy this example?
I posed this very question at a 2024 National Farmers Federation meeting on significantly expanding wind power on the NSW Northern Tablelands. This was of course acknowledged instead of answered. The Farmers don’t want it given there was an uproar of disbelief laughter when the government representative said it would only cost around $2000 to de-commission each tower. What a Sick Joke! But the hundred or so Farmers are still compliant, being thoroughly brainwashed with decades of government programs, as I was the ONLY ONE who spoke up!
They appeared TERRIFIED of questioning government ‘authority’. Their ONLY questions were on subliminal noise pollution traveling tens of kilometres, and asking the government representative implementation details and costs. I felt like yelling “We’re NOT INTERESTED in your DISMAL PROPOSALS, show us something that WORKS and then we’ll listen” but I was already on the way out handing out pamphlets.
This is OBVIOUSLY a CONSCIOUSNESS, not Legal, Political, Educational, Military, Financial etc etc problem. CONSCIOUSNESS is ALSO suggested as THE ONE AND ONLY EFFECTIVE MEANS of bringing on a Golden Age. To ALL Freedom Lovers, isn’t THAT what we all want? I’m HAPPY to say this is like a snowball gathering momentum, unstoppable in it’s wake, yet there is VAST resistance to the Cabal losing power after thousands of years of oppression and domination. Wasn’t the 20th Century one of the very worst?

Both corporations and governments may be TERRIFIED of the prospects of clean energy devastating enormous profits and taxes, in that order. Hydrocarbon oil-industry comes back to money, and similarly, the massive deployment of nuclear power and all its costs, wastes, extraction and refinement pollution, and weapons potential merely to satiate funding for particular interest groups with possibly unrestrained crazy technological experiments (such as climate engineering without consent).
Let us not be seduced and mesmerized with tunnel vision on a technology which would need to be dismantled anyway, due to multiple toxicity issues. In the meantime small-scale nuclear may provide a temporary stop-gap measure toward clean, localized, non-burning solutions, where many of these already exist. But their scale is far smaller, and far more expensive.
https://e360.yale.edu/features/us-uranium-mining-nuclear-power paints a double-edged dilemma titled “A Nuclear Power Revival Is Sparking a Surge in Uranium Mining”. But the subject of toxic legacy dominates the article.
Even Oppenheimer raised a ‘small’ likelihood that an uncontrolled chain reaction could NOT be contained and thereby consume the entire planet. Materialistic technofiles LOVE to play with these toys, as they may do with ‘controlling the weather’.

THORIUM is often proposed as the be-all, end-all solution in very seductive terms. But there’s PLENTY to back up the following comment derived from https://youtu.be/GAiHtrWHxK0 Thorium Disadvantages:
“I have read about Thorium reactors. People make it out to be some sort of miracle reactor. It’s not. It’s mostly a pipe-dream. If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Disadvantages are it does not fission on it’s own. You have to either put weapons grade uranium in it or blast it with some sort of accelerator or something. It creates less energy and is less economic than traditional reactors which already struggle to compete on the open market. It creates a mixed waste stream that is very difficult to dispose of. It won’t melt down, but can leak. It has most of the same disadvantages of conventional nuclear power but is less cost effective. Thorium breeds uranium-233 which is fissionable and is a risk for proliferation.” Other comments mention it could take 50 years to ‘develop’ this technology…by that time would it be already swamped by virtually endless, non-polluting sources derived from magnetics and gravity?

Rather than bite the nuclear bullet prematurely, there may be several spectacular offerings to the debacle of human energy ‘needs’ on planet earth, given that the world’s largest power plants are ALL hydro, see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_largest_power_stations . Very related to Tidal. And what about the proposed Dynamic Tidal Power, with VAST potential? The longer the causeway (30km+), the greater the output, so LOOK IT UP!

100% !!!1 Everything else is gaslighting and brainwashing the “useless eaters” over the cliff. They will no longer be needed when AI robotics replaces their labour and seat.

  3. Howard Wright said – “… there is enough coal in Australia… [to] last another 800 to 1000 years…”

    Spot on!

And everything else you said was dead on target too.

But we’re not going to use our coal resources to furnish cheap and abundant power to Australians, are we? Instead we’ll sell it all off overseas so China can have cheap abundant power for the next 50 years burning Australian coal.

Just like Australia has 40% of the world’s known Uranium reserves, plus Thorium and all that other new-fangled shit. More than enough to power Australian households and industry for, like, FOREVER.

But we’re not going to do that, are we? Instead, we’ll keep right on selling all our Uranium and all the other shit off overseas so everyone in the world EXCEPT Australia can have cheap abundant power forever.

What’s the opposite of Sadism? Masochism rings a bell. Peculiar that self-hating pathology can apply to an entire country.

This anti-Australian socio-political paradigm is kind of like “Little Johnny wanted to do something of value to society, something meritorious and worthwhile with his life. Instead, he joined the huge Treasonous army of granny-bashing child-molesting sex-trafficking drug-dealing pig-raping goat-riding mass-murdering gangsta-wannabe Hired Mercenary Thugs trading under the registered business name of his local “police service”…”

And yeah, that’s also exactly what we do here in Australia.

  4. Howard Miller

“Coal fired boilers burn the environment and coal is it’s dying throes, supply is dwindling. What others nightmare have you got hidden away.?”🤦‍♂️

Oh Howard, I’m embarrassed to share the same name as you.

    “As an Energy Supply Engineer,…”
If you’re really what you claim to be, you would know there is enough coal in Australia, when burning at the consumption rate of the mid to late 1980s (which was much higher than it is at preset), will last another 800 to 1000 years. And there are new methods for burning the stuff now that are about as clean, if not cleaner than nuclear (zero emissions) and certainly more efficient than any of the green alternative nonsense you correctly ridiculed. At least you understand that part.

It’s all a deliberate ploy by the UN and the WEF along with the cooperation of our treacherous, lying governments – our ‘controllers’ which has an evil, sinister end goal.
The green BS has nothing to do with emissions or ‘saving the (perfectly healthy) planet’, it’s all about austerity – impoverishing us all by destroying Western society’s industries by depriving them of vital base load electric power and enslaving us forever under a dystopian pre-industrial era existence, where we’ll all be totally dependent on their meagre UBI. IF we behave ourselves.
That is the ONLY reason our lying UN & WEF subservient governments promote the useless junk and waste $Billions of our money on installing it across the world. They KNOW it doesn’t work! That’s what their whole diabolical plan is based on.
They intend to destroy our society and our lives, whilst controlling everything we do in their future, massively surveilled ‘smart city’ prisons.

  7. Editor, cairnsnews said – “… we were worried readers such as yourself or brainless Greens might be confused the cooling towers were emitting deadly smoke so we were careful to mention it was actually steam, caused by cooling of the reactors…”

Well said, and might I say aptly so.

We might also mention, just in passing, that so many of those terrible images of coal-fired power plants published hither and yon to illustrate the irreparable pollution of the atmosphere with that ever-so-wicked planet-destroying CO2 are just pictures of cooling towers – emitting steam.

Because the Green set are really not very bright. Trendy, perhaps, and ideologically indoctrinated and intellectually myopic and insidiously dangerous not to mention amoral and vindictive enough to hurt and kill us all without batting an eyelid, but not the sharpest knives in the block.

  9. Commenter tranquilb75c091d8d
Can you comment on the propensity of CO2 to drift down to ground level or sea level, relative to the other gases

    re: hydrogen
The WA government had a nice new bus bursting into flames every year or so, happened about 5 times maybe more. Passengers had to get off quickly. No explanations provided.

  10. Carbon dioxide isn’t a poison

Carbon dioxide is not a poison. Carbon dioxide comprises 0.04 percent of the Earth’s atmosphere (i.e., currently circa 420 ppm). Nitrogen comprises 78 percent of the air, oxygen comprises 21 percent, and trace gases – including carbon dioxide, just 4 percent – and always has since it was possible to measure them. The atmosphere exists in a steady state due to feedback inhibitions on the rate of chemical reactions affecting the atmosphere. There is no out-of-control climate change to be concerned about, and claims that there is are duplicitous. Plants need carbon dioxide to grow and the higher the level in the air the less water they need to grow. Plants also photosynthesize to split oxygen from carbon dioxide. Farmers pump extra carbon dioxide into their Green Houses because the more carbon dioxide in the air, the bigger and more productive the plants, and the less water they need to grow. This all stops at 160 ppm of carbon dioxide in the air. At 160 ppm carbon dioxide in the air all plants and animals will die. All plants will die because their stomata will remain fixed in the open position and all will dehydrate to death. On average, for every carbon dioxide molecule that enters the stomata the plant loses 100 water molecules. Animals and humans will all choke to death at 160 ppm in the air because respiration (carbon dioxide is exchanged for oxygen in the alveoli of the lungs) ceases at 160 ppm of carbon dioxide in the air. This exchange of gases is governed by Dalton’s Law of Partial Pressures (gases move from areas of higher concentration of that particular gas (partial pressure) to lower concentration of the same gas (partial pressure). When we exhale the carbon dioxide in our lungs is circa 40,000 ppm. The average school and university lecture room has about 7000 ppm or higher of carbon dioxide in the air with no ill effects providing ventilation is adequate. Carbon dioxide is therefore our friend. My understanding is that so far, on this issue, perhaps USD 20 Trillion (maybe more than 100 trillion by some counts) has been squandered to enrich the few, largely in the past two decades. Surely Y2K, another non problem, was merely a test run to gauge the credulousness of the population. Also, the willingness of some politicians to never waste a supposed crisis if there is a dollar to be made, and the cupidity of the few who always have an eye to the main chance? In short: No CO2 in the air = No plants = no food crops = no animals = no meat = no humans. That’s it in a nutshell.

    And as for Hydrogen
Given the explosions they have had trying to fuel hydrogen powered cars in South Korea, and elsewhere, seems the safety issue is not a consideration for politicians. That issue can be placed amongst the least of the concerns about the choice of hydrogen cars.
Using hydrogen poses great technical challenges i.e.
    – hydrogen must be stored in its liquid state at –253°C (20 K);
    – refrigeration takes a great deal of electrical energy to store hydrogen as a liquid;
    – unlike hydrogen, existing oil fuels can be stored at room temperature;
    – Hydrogen offers an energy content per weight which is 2.8 times higher than that of kerosene. Even so, the fuel volume is 4 times greater than that of kerosene. (Researchgate: Hydrogen vs Kerosene as aircraft fuel). Hence, the energy per unit volume of oil derived fuels is far higher and more practical from volume, room temperature and pressures, cost, and safety standpoints, than hydrogen. Think of this in terms of the size of fuel tanks for aircraft and road transport vehicles. The question of safety is an entirely separate issue.
    – the tiny size of the H2 molecules makes containment difficult. Leaks can be dangerous (i.e., of the Hindenburg Zeppelin disaster variety). Moreover, if hydrogen is contained in a metal tank it will eventually cause the tank to crystallize – and fracture under the pressure;
Hence, hydrogen is uneconomic as a replacement for liquid fuels already in use. Therefore, proponents can’t be serious about this option, because it is totally impractical. Various politicians whose main ability is making billions in taxpayers funds disappear, voice the same impractical notions. If Ministers do not know the detractions of hydrogen, they are either unbriefed, or have been paid to promote tax-payer subsidies (probably in the multi-billion) for their own purposes.

  11. Sorry to have to tell you, but once th capital costs are recovered, nuclear is cheaper than coal.

    Check it out.

  12. Well Howard we were worried readers such as yourself or brainless Greens might be confused the cooling towers were emitting deadly smoke so we were careful to mention it was actually steam, caused by cooling of the reactors.Ed

  13. That picture you show and the explanation about the cooling towers is “neanderthal” thinking. Cooling towers produce a small quantity of steam, a naturally occuring product and this has negligable effect on the environment.
So in your dull minded efforts, race off to New Zealand and many other locations across the world and shut down all the natural geysers and natural hot springs to supposedly save “energy”.
This is an “Off with the fairies route” using “common dopey ideas”, something has to replace the ghastly mess I see today.

Look you “BIMBO’s” steam coming from cooling towers is as natural as anyone can get ? afterall the white clouds in the sky are simply steam.

Eye of Horus and all the masonic shit architecture such as “Cleopatra’s Needles” are all over the place in locations of power, you didn’t notice ?.
As for communism, you tried to debate someone else on that, the ALP represents communism and their sucking up to the CCP instead of engaging with the other places highlights that.
Apparently, when things are staring people in the face they don’t see them anymore.
You heard of StarLink, cranial implants, CBDCs, chip implants, 15 minute cities, You Will Own Nothing, “vaccination” mwa-ha-haa, 5G going up everywhere, dozens of GLOBAL projects, our hero Mr Trump is right on board with all of it, is this really our inevitable future or was it just devised by control-crazed technocrats ?
One day you’ll wake up, scratch your cranial implant and realise you’re in Pyongyang.

  15. If our civilation is to survive, small scale nuclear power s base load is the only SANE answer. As an Energy Supply Engineer, all the other schemes are dodgy and fraught with failure. Solar is a mess waiting for the first hail storm. The windmill monsters are an environmental nightmare, wave power get washed out to distruction? Coal fired boilers burn the environment and coal is it’s dying throes, supply is dwindling. What others nightmare have you got hidden away.?Humanity could go back to the “Stone Age” Living in caves, wearing loincloths and murdering animals will soon deplete numbers. Got some other ideas that might work and last.:

  16. Re: “global mining giant” GLENCORE is Swissy in origin”

rotfl So is Swiss cheese. And it doesn’t put the pyramids and the Eye of Horus on our or on the American dollar bills either. Nice distraction though.

Soon enuff the commenter will try and bring us “up to speed” that the “Swissies” are the real bad guys behind the ancient Global Mammon Worshipping Cult and its Order of the Golden Calf. lol

No wonder all that “anti Swissism” has been around and so widespread for so long. It had to have a reason to be so widespread, eh?

PS When it comes to Oz, the “Dutch” mercantilists are much, much, much bigger players. Them’s the same line of bods who financed Cromwell, took over England from Charles 1 and set up the Bank of England and the East India Co otherwise known as the British Empire… ostensibly, for some shills, an offshoot and a front of the “Swissies”. lol

  17. THE CORRUPTION OF SCIENCE
Video: Climate – The Cold Truth.
The Massive Scam which Promotes Global Warming / Climate Change – Climate The Movie by Martin Durkin
By Julian Rose – Global Research, June 20, 2024
We are rapidly waking up to the massive scam that promotes global warming/climate change as ‘doomsday scenario par excellence’.
In this film (see below) is a succinct and powerfully presented series of exposes by scientists and climatologists coming clean about the real truth behind the global warming invention.
Highly recommended viewing for all in need of material that can be shared with others needing to be brought up to speed on this vital issue.
Climate Change/Global Warming is the scare tool being used to completely capsize the world economy, destroy agriculture and act as a supposed critical ‘health hazard’ to the global population.
The World Health Organisation (WHO) has the audacity to claim that it is in a position to also rule on climate issues. So its ‘Pandemic Treaty’, if approved by The World Health Assembly this May 2024, looks like being the basis for placing both climate change and world health under its United Nations/World Economic Foundation backed despotic mantle.
Let us be in no doubt that the depopulation agenda is at the forefront of these manoeuvres.
Covid, Climate and Health Care are now all weaponised by the elite Big Finance cult that pulls the strings of puppet political chiefs, non governmental organisations (NGO’s) and all operatives that toe the line of the top down status quo.

I would wish that those speaking on this film had had the courage to raise their voices before their retirement.
This is where true whistleblowers really come into their own. It takes courage.

  19. The EU Is Willing to Go to War Over Lithium?
    By Phil Butler
    Global Research, January 03, 2024
The riddle of unhinged EU support for the Zelensky regime in Kyiv is now solved. Anyone inclined can unravel why the Germans, in particular, backstabbed Russia in the Minsk peace boondoggle. Lithium.
Energy Monitor’s parent company, GlobalData, recently released a report showing that Europe’s biggest lithium reserves lie in the Donbass region of Russia. The former Ukrainian Shevchenkivske field in the Donetsk region and the Kruta Balka block in the Zaporizhzhia region are now part of Russia. These reserves add tremendously to Russia’s humongous Lithium deposits (now 1.5M metric tons) and solidify the country’s top ten position globally. If we consider other BRICS nations’ reserves, including China (2M metric tons), EU industry is at a leverage point.
What’s most significant about this is that the EU, and Germany in particular, DESPERATELY NEED THE RARE MINERAL TO MANUFACTURE GREEN ENERGY TECHNOLOGIES SUCH AS WIND TURBINES, ELECTRIC VEHICLES AND A WIDE VARIETY OF ELECTRONIC DEVICES. This text from the Critical Minerals Thematic Intelligence Report overview is telling:
“Critical minerals are key to transitioning to a low-carbon world. There are over 70 countries globally that have set net-zero targets and pledged to lower their emissions. However, these widespread measures for a greener future are straining natural resources, especially the minerals required to produce energy transition technologies such as electric vehicles (EVs) and solar panels…”

  20. Joey quoted – “… If you know how to use a screwdriver and some basic hand tools, you can build your own magnetic generator that will allow you to create free electricity forever…”

No you can’t, Dude, your really can’t.

Here’s some guff from the Brave Search AI stooge…

    “Science Reproducibility

Reproducibility in science is a fundamental principle that ensures the findings of a study can be achieved again with a high degree of reliability when replicated by different researchers using the same methodology.
This principle is crucial for verifying results, building trust in research, and advancing scientific knowledge.”

… and it may just be another AI doofus data trawling tool, but it’s right.

Show me someone, anyone, who has watched that video you linked and then went to work with a piece of wood and a screwdriver and hooked up a mains power motor to an old car alternator and produced a working free energy generator – and I’ll show you the legenday Ball Bearing Bird.

Sorry, folks, that’s not how it’s done. And it’s not even remotely like what Nikola Tesla accomplished in any way, shape or form.

If you’re inclined to play with magnets and stuff, then maybe look into the Bedini Engine or the Adams Motor, proven technologies, both very similar, exploiting connections between thermodynamics and magnetics to suck energy directly out of the ambient environment (hint – they both require careful tuning and both run colder than ambient when they’re producing electric power).

And if anyone’s wondering why those generators haven’t taken off all around the world, FWIW John Bedini got roughed up by power company thugs to keep his damn mouth shut, and John Adam’s patents were all siezed by the Kiwi government under “national security” grounds and he was persecuted relentlessly by his “democratic” government to keep his mouth shut.

Because that’s the way it is in the wild wild west.

  21. Ps.
Anyone not up to speed on Swissy may be informed that “global mining giant” GLENCORE is Swissy in origin and now moving in on Australia and gouging the government for their Carbon Capture and Storage, I forget the sum so far but a very sizeable chunk out of $100m I think, more than a chunk, for this utter stoopidity.
But Swissy is coming out into the open these days, so confident are they, that they have the globe stitched up. Just look at your new $100 note created by the RBA. It has the Eye of Horus on the pyramid now, the little eye only lights up once a year but there it is in plain sight on the note. Apparently Monash was not in favour of the structure but was dragged in by posterity. So the USD with the Eye of Horus on the pyramid since I guess 1913 is not alone anymore. On the new Australian $100 note, we also see a small pyramid surmounted by a lovely OWL which is something the weirdos worship at Bohemian Grove.
Glencore seems to have adopted the colour “Teal” in their advertising, most curious, perhaps this indicates our friends the Hacca bunch are also deeply entwined or even covertly Swissy in financial origin. By now I think they would surely be anyway, “Teal” hints or not.

  22. Commenter ajnz
Good to hear you are dropping the 50 Hz subject, now everyone can put away their headache pills

  23. Cairns New refer to to inefficient wind and solar.
Does Cairns News understand electricity. Frequency, synchronous, distribution.
    No they dont.
    Please allow me to explain.

We have had this one sided conversation before and this may be my last on this subject. Migraine coming on.

Wind turbines do not produce the essential and legally required 50 hertz sinusoidal waveform energy. They are completely useless. BOGUS.
Sitting on top of a wind turbine tower is a three phase motor masquerading as a generator. Fake.

They do produce a non-compliant harmonic energy which through smart meters is fraudulently added to consumers power accounts hence the reason power charges rose AFTER the smart meter was installed.

The non-compliant energy is the reason wind turbines burst into flames. Contact me for more info.

Wind turbines do not produce any 50 hertz on any windy day.
    Cairns News. Do you comprehend??

Now the PV solar panel energy. The panels can and do produce 50 hertz though synchronising that to the grid is something else. Clouds play havoc.
The energy from solar farms does not enter the grid.
    A con.

    Nuclear.
Requires a water source, a river.
Nuclear has the longest environmental process of anything.
Starting today a nuclear reactor would not be ready to switch on inside 15 – 20 years if it was approved at all.

  24. zzz3856,

    Most likely it’s not coincidental.

It’s being controlled/ steered, in order to speed up agenda 2030, to cause lots of damage, etc.

Nikola Tesla discovered long ago that it is possible to build a device to create an endless supply of cheap, clean power. This discovery goes back over 100 years, but was completely covered up by corporate giants like General Electric and Westinghouse.

Imagine what would happen if every person on earth could have unlimited, free energy? If you know how to use a screwdriver and some basic hand tools, you can build your own magnetic generator that will allow you to create free electricity forever.

  26. Free energy was discovered many years ago and has been sidelined due to the money to be made from fossil fuels.. its as simple as that. It was being used even before Tesla’s discovery of energy from the ether – all hidden away in the confiscated chests of his papers.

Cars that run on water etc .. all hidden and swept under the carpet with the inventors silenced.

BTW – thoughts on this cyclone about to hit Brisbane for the first time in 50 years. Its coming down the coast, and then is going to do a right hand turn opposite a city of 4mn people?

  27. SHOULD AUS GO NUCLEAR THE IDEAL PLACE TO STORE THE WASTE WOULD BE UNDER THE PARLAIMENTARY BUILDINGS THAT HOUSE THE RATBAGS THAT ARE DEVESTATING THE WORLD WITH THIER WOKE GLOBALIST IDEAOLIGY.

  28. Thank God for a rare article which states the reality that surely everybody with common sense instinctively knows, but most are swayed from, by the ‘science’ & the (un)intelligentsia that are breeding like blowflies and swarming all over us.
The talk of atoms and molecules is utter nonsense that fits well with the Gaia-worshipping hordes of reprobates! We already have a century of real expertise which can be used if only it is allowed.
Open your eyes and look around: more coal than you can poke a stick at, which is currently being given away to our foreign enemies, and astronomically more water going to waste up north every flood season, which could be diverted and dammed for every good purpose including hydro power.
Our nation began with men “humbly relying on the blessing of Almighty God,” but now is destroyed by men who have forsaken Christ to worship their own stupidity, and think they are clever.
    God have mercy on us!
Sincerely in the service of Christ, Crown, Constitution, & Country,

  29. Je, je… The “Marxists” in “Geneva” are the people to be blamed? The diktatorship of the working class is nigh?

No wonder we’re being fkd. lol Sheep are born to be shorn. Pity the rest of us will get fleeced with them.

  30. Governments aren’t interested in common sense so I won’t waste their time giving them recommendations, the politicians are only interested in kickbacks. I would say some of the best kickbacks come from offshore wind turbines as these things are so unfeasible it is beyond laughable. The sea has a way of destroying machinery like nothing else. Nucular power is like a bottomless pit for money, the price probably depends on how much credit you have. You can keep draining the budget for many years before commissioning these things. But the most insane scam is Carbon Capture and Storage which has been mentioned in connection with power generation. Burying CO2 involves burying 2 oxygen atoms for every 1 carbon atom. Of course it is much smarter to let trees, plants and algae do the job of splitting out the carbon and sequestering it as topsoil etc. CC&S is so incredibly stoopid I commend it to the politicians for kickbacks, and Glencore already has its snout in the trough so if you want a job in Geneva go for it.
No need to be a hypocrite LibLab + Green politicians, we all know what you’re up to, just grab the money and run, we expect nothing less from you.

  31. Magnetically produced energy has been with us a long time in the form of dynamos and alternators. The are very good on a small scale, but require more energy input than output. The main problem is Lenz’s law which, simply put, states that the greater the energy you wish to produce, the greater the resistance to its production. A car’s engine generally produces sufficient excess energy to overcome alternator resistances.

Electric turbines that require coal, oil, gas or nuclear to propel them work on the same principle.

  32. Given the fact that, the quote, “The Germans and the English” are considerably more enmeshed in the, quote “Marxist school system” than Aussies, Lindesymonds’ comment doesn’t quite add up

  33. Once the fake government, the unlawful takeover corporate government that has been in place since just after Federation, is dissolved, Australia will reach heights better than our dreams.
But for this to happen, we have to wake up to and object to employing the fake government and all of it’s officials.

  34. Free energy … ethereal or from the depths of earth is already made possible and should be here this year if the Deep States in every Western Nation are arrested and dealt with by Alliance Militaries around the world.
These NWO Deep State Dipsh its have had these technologies for many years just as previous civilizations on earth have had, but lock them up in patents and cities under the earth.
So they can be released and used once the corruptions are gone.
So earth’s peoples had better assist to get rid of these bas turds, and not get in the way of progress.

  35. I have no doubt that the Western nations will be able to develop Zero Point energy of the magnetic-electric universe (if they have not done so already). The Germans and the English who are at present completely screwed down will lead the way. Australia – with a significant Anglo-Celtic demographic could lead the way if we could manage to get the males aged 10 – 18 years out of the Marxist school system.
