And like any theory, as Einstein himself is alleged to have said, all the experiments in the world cannot suffice to ever prove a single theory, but it only takes one contradiction to prove any or all of them wrong. The Red Shift Theory, the Big Bang Theory, even the Theory of Evolution, all have failed the test and should rightly have been tossed into the wood chipper decades ago. But careers and institutions being what they are, all of these nonsenses have been retained with the bloody-minded tenacity and desperation of bona-fide religious fervour.
So has the Sun-centred theory been disproven? Many boffins would say so, what with the demonstrable flatness of lakes and alleged lack of Earth curvature and so forth. So like good objective unbiased procedurally-driven scientists, let’s toss it.
BUT if that suffices to dispense with the Heliocentric paradigm, we’re still left with quite the quandry, because all those (dare we say it?) Flat Earth proposals are also as easily dismissed as their arch-nemesis.
