Haha…I was in a Caribou Coffee shop the other day, and since in America there is the “Valentines Day” holiday coming up, there is a chalkboard that Caribou has and they put up usually dumb questions and the customers can write their answers…the question is; “what is your favorite love-song”…

It would be interesting to know how many members of Parliament obtained their seats through the manipulation of preferential votes, i.e. they did not win an outright majority of first votes, but by AEC juggling of the votes they were awarded the seat. Given that s.30 of the Australian Constitution states that an elector shall have only ONE vote, any enforced preference beyond the first vote must count as more than ONE vote, and hence invalid.
Therefore, all members who gained their seat by this method hold it invalidly, and cannot be considered to be legally entitled to their position.
Apart from being fraudulent members who should be required to resign and relinquish/pay back all benefits, all legislation passed with their assent needs to be re-visited, and where it has been approved by an illegal majority, should be declared null and void.
The upshot of this is that ‘first past the post’ voting is the only legal, constitutionally approved method of voting. It may not change the Hate Speech bill, but with increased awareness of the corruption and treachery of the major parties and a growing desire for persons of integrity to represent us, there is, with a concerted campaign, a better chance of them being elected, and hence a non-totalitarian future for Australia.
