Senator Babet has today called for the vaccine mandate for Victorian firefighters to be dropped forever.
“These dedicated men and women have been forced to follow a policy they don’t agree with – a policy that is no longer mandated by health authorities in Victoria as of three weeks ago,” said Senator Babet.
“This is the only fire service in Australia still enforcing mandates. With healthcare workers no longer required to be vaccinated, there are no arguments left to keep these risky measures in place.
“Firefighters were never mandated by the government to have these injections in the first place. Continuing to hold on to this flawed policy implemented by Fire Rescue Victoria is discriminatory and poses an unacceptable risk to work health and safety of the firefighters,” he said.
Staff shortages are critical in Victoria for firefighters, and have been for several years, according to a Herald Sun article published in June 2024.
“Victoria could well use the services of the fifty or so firefighters that have been affected. Critical staffing problems could be alleviated immediately if these outrageous mandates were dropped.
“These courageous men and women must be permitted to return to doing what they love and what they have dedicated their lives to: protecting and rescuing Victorians from fire. Let them return to work. Enough is enough,” said Senator Babet

Mr Babet should move a Bill outlawing such nazi practices by employers.

WA council passes motion for COVID injections to be suspended
A motion has been passed by the Town of Port Hedland local council, WA, to suspend the use of Moderna and Pfizer COVID vaccines.

What is the meaning of the article? Did the 50 of so firefighters say no and were fired and are not being reinstated? How is the health of those that said yes?
There should be no mandates whatsoever, they were and are illegal.
BTW were all the nurses reinstated or is that still ongoing? As I recall in the news a nurse said they were told they would need to re-apply for their jobs and no guarantee they would get them back. Is this why there is still a huge shortage of staff in hospitals and ambulance ramping still out of control and especially since more and more and more people are getting sick.

People of Australia grow some balls and move these parasites out of our government and our lives. My brother died during the Covid scam and the doctor stated that he died from the dreaded Covid, he had organ failure due to a blood clot. So don’t lecture me that Covid is real and our government are doing everything for us, it’s a world wide scam. The fat cats will continue to lick the cream at our expense.
So firefighters get your union to do their job but they can’t as they need their 8 pieces of silver like our politicians.

Exempting people means the “virus” is not that severe. If it was, no one would be exempt.
