Nominated for World Heritage, the world’s largest and purest deposit of silica sands at Shelburne Bay, northern Cape York Peninsula.

Queensland and federal Labor on June 20 sent a World Heritage nomination for seven locations to UNESCO in Paris to lock up much of the natural assets of Cape York Peninsula without the expressed consent of local Aborigines and Islanders.

In spite of intense pressure and alleged financial backhanders from Labor, sources close to Cape York Land Council told Cairns News the CYLC board had not signed off on the nominations. Nor had most other Aboriginal Prescribed Body Corporations on Cape York.

Fearing another Wild Rivers lockdown debacle enacted by Labor in 2007 and torn up by the Liberals 11 years ago, Aboriginal elders told Cairns News they had enough problems trying to do anything constructive with their vast native title estate and did not want further restrictions or total control exercised over their land by Paris-based UNESCO.

Federal Labor has made the nominations without consent of the Indigenous representative body, Cape York Land Council or Traditional Owners from the locations which have been nominated.

The federal Environment Department’s website states traditional owner consent is required for a nomination: “The Australian Government is committed to a world heritage nomination for appropriate areas of Cape York Peninsula, subject to Traditional Owner consent.

“The Australian Government’s commitment to Traditional Owner consent respects the rights of Indigenous people and the nomination will only proceed for those areas where Traditional Owners have given their consent.” https://www.dcceew.gov.au/sites/default/files/documents/cape-york-nomination.pdf

Sources said traditional owner Mike Ross of Olkola in Central Cape York, did not consent to the Olkola nomination (formerly Dixie Station), south west of Musgrave or did the Wuthati people, claimants of former Shelbourne Bay Pastoral Holding and the site of the World’s largest, purest silica sand deposit, said to be worth more than $3 billion by the World Bank in 2004. Today it would be considerably more.

Others on the list include McIlwraith Range National Park, Restoration Island National Park, and Quinkan {sandstone} Park near Laura, which features extensive Aboriginal rock art galleries. Olkola and Wuthati PBC’s have been contacted for comment.

UNESCO states it would not accept a nomination without the full consent of all indigenous owners.

Liberal Member for the federal electorate of Leichardt which extends from Cairns to the PNG border in the Torres Strait is Warren Entsch who does not support the nomination.

In a recent parliamentary speech he asked how UNESCO could do a better job than traditional owners of managing the proposed sites and suggested the consultation undertaken to date was “arguably misleading.”

“The approach proposed by the government to enlist this region under the auspices of UNESCO is not only flawed, but potentially detrimental to the communities that call it home.

“For decades indigenous communities have fought tirelessly to reclaim and secure land rights; these efforts and struggles are now being undermined.

“Both state and federal Labor governments have effectively sidelined these communities in favour of an international body; they are ignoring their voices from what I understand , arguably misleading them and diminishing their control on their ancestral lands.”

Will federal and state Labor sell this lie to UNESCO by ignoring the wishes of legitimate Traditional Owners?

Queensland’s major mortgagee is Rothschild Bank and in true bankster style is securing its interests by locking up vast areas of untapped vital mineral resources on Cape York, out of the reach of competitors and mining companies.

What better way of protecting its collateral? By forcing governments to declare national parks and world heritage areas in collusion with the IMF and the World Bank. https://cairnsnews.org/2018/06/18/cape-york-possible-coal-seam-gas-field/

14 thought on “Federal & state Labor want Cape York land for globalists without consent of local people”
  1. Commenter forever
Watching TV is your problem, you cannot hand over the politics for someone else to run “for your benefit”, hawhawhaw don’t be so naive. If you were paying attention you would have seen Clive Palmer imported 37 million doses of HCQ at the start of 2020 and the government stole them and destroyed them all.
Clive ran candidates in all the states and ran a huge amount of very good TV ads for people like you who are very lazy and basically sitting ducks for white collar crime of all types. Amid a huge amount of flak and derision, Clive got Senator Babet up in Melbourne showing that something like 10% of Victorians have a functional brain. If you want to stick with your beer and TV sport that’s your fault not someone else’s.

  2. All politicians are corrupt, no matter which party they belong too and I am still surprised that so many still believe that one mob is gonna do better than the next mob. None of them stood against the Vax mandates or the clot shots. Our pollies are in lockstep with both the WEF and the UN’s various agendas. So them locking up more and more land? Basically, get use to it because it’s one big club and we are not a part of it. So unless we are prepared to make some serious noise, sit back, crack a beer and turn on the TV!

  3. “The public’s waitin
For the killin’ and the hatin’
Switch on the station – oh yeah
    They do a lotta sellin’
Between the firin’ and the yellin’
And you believe in what they’re tellin’ – oh yeah

It’s a horror movie right there on my TV
Horror movie right there on my TV
Horror movie and it’s blown a fuse
Horror movie, it’s the six-thirty news
Horror movie, it’s the six-thirty news

And it’s shockin’ me right outa my brain”

“You will do as you are told until the rights to you are sold”

  5. Pat from Vic it can only be hypnotism. That’s all that’s left to explain why the majority refuse to accept an organisation of elites who publicly state their intentions. Even the books and websites dedicated to explaining their goal are discarded when insisting it’s the deep state or the communists or the banksters or some other distraction that leads us no where and to no one in particular.

  6. Joe Bogan said – “… the ALP could not get away with it if the conservative opposition was any good…”

Why oh why do we CONTINUE to play charades with our shepherds and executioners?

It’s the foreign-owned COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA CORPORATION, folks.

They don’t work for us. Repeat – THEY DO NOT WORK FOR US. NONE of them do. If they SEEM to, it’s because they’re CONTROLLED OPPOSITION, whether even THEY know it or NOT.

We don’t even pay them, did you know that? They just deploy their myriad subsidiary CORPORATIONS across Australia to thieve the living F*CK out of us, send all the loot and money offshore, and then the foreign-owned COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA CORPORATION cuts the cheques for THEM.

And they heve ARMIES of TREASONOUS shit-for-brains HIRED MERCENARY THUGS entrenched across every Australian state and territory just to keep us all in line and fearful and maybe BRUTALISE and KILL a few dozen of us every now and then just to make sure we don’t go getting any ideas.

Good Cop, Bad Cop, the game goes on and on and on and we all just sit here being ENTERTAINED by the show while our lives and country are being drained away.

Meanwhile, Rebecca said – “What part of “own nothing and be happy” is it you don’t understand?”

What I don’t understand is why these mass-murdering baby-eating TREASONOUS ANTI-AUSTRALIAN MOGREL ARSEHOLE BASTARDS aren’t all swinging from LAMP POSTS.

  7. What part of “own nothing and be happy” is it you don’t understand?

  8. As the pope said that the earth groans because of exploitation of nature resulting in climate change. Nothing will stop the JSFG’s plans.

  9. The ALP has a very dark history of swindling its supporters with an extra $20 per week and pumping out party material on their ABC-TV, but the ALP could not get away with it if the conservative opposition was any good, unfortunately the opposition has just a handful of decent representatives and they have to watch their boundaries closely or they will be excommunicated and replaced with ventriloquist dummies.
Well maybe the ALP will deliver Sir Joh’s dream of a rocket launching facility up there in Cape York where nobody goes anyway, since the current agenda is the new cold war arms race, taking over from the 7 hot wars in 5 years plan which morphed into four 5 year plans.

  10. All Australian land belongs equally to every Australian cultured mankind that lives on it and has loyalty to average Australian culture.
So this unlawful business of asking foreign entities to take some of it and control and manipulate it’s use is TREASON BY POLITICIANS and their UNLAWFUL PARTIES…..and WE WILL TREAT THIS LANDGRAB AS TREASON under GESARA.
Australia belongs only to Australians….not to any corporatised government business for profit.

  11. They should be sharged and tried for treason and put in Gaol for life but the weak LNP will not do that because they are a part of it as well, stop voting for the duopoly and vote for One Nation or the Australia Party.

  12. Gotta save it for when the Native Titles and Voice Projects eventually get up and the Global Money Merchant Corporation can swing it for a song.

  13. More Un & Government lies, lie after lie after lie, ad nauseum, filling our world with darkness & theft, collapsing our world & laughing in the process.

  14. THESE WOKE LABOURITES ARE REALLY MAKING SURE THAT THEY WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO PARLAIMENT AT THE NEXT ELECTION AND THE WON’T GET CLOSE AGAIN FOR DECADES AND HOPEFULLY THE PARTY WILL SIMPLY DISAPPEAR ALONG WITH THE GREENS.
