The key has officially been turned on the highly anticipated Engine Immobiliser Trial, with eligible residents in the trial areas of Townsville, Cairns and Mount Isa able to apply for a $500 engine immobiliser subsidy voucher from today.

Engine Immobiliser installers are also invited to make their final registrations from today. We know secondary engine immobilisers add an extra level of protection for car owners and will help police in the fight against property crime.
The initiative is set to provide vehicle owners in Mt Isa, Cairns and Townsville with an additional option to increase the security of their vehicles at a subsidised cost.
Up to 20,000 engine immobilisers are expected to be installed across the trial areas, with 9,000 subsidy vouchers available in Townsville, 8,000 in Cairns and 900 in Mt Isa.
A further 2,100 vouchers will be reserved for distribution to people across the three trial areas identified by police as individuals who would benefit from the installation of an immobiliser device (for example a pensioner who was unaware of the availability of the technology).
Acting Assistant Commissioner Chris Stream says the Queensland Police Service is actively encouraging the community to take advantage of this crime prevention strategy.
“It is hoped this subsidy will help more residents be able to install these immobilisers on their vehicles, to stop them from falling victim to car thefts.”
“Technology like this can make a real difference to the safety and security of everyone.”
Eligible residents and Engine Immobiliser installers across Queensland who wish to be part of the subsidy trial are invited to register by visiting https://www.police.qld.gov.au/initiatives/vehicle-immobiliser-subsidy-trial and following the prompts.

A quick smack over a knee cap with a lump of wood from my mattock would stop them from going very far – but sadly with our legal idiots I would be charged with assault and depriving them of ever walking again. The grubs are not the problem – the system is the problem along with our idiotic politicians. who really dont have a clue about reality.
CAR IMMOBILISER Thats a joke , a mob of thieving black kids stole this blokes car that had one of these things on it so six of these little turds were seen pushing the car down his street , I laughed like shit because these lazy little bastards wont work or do odd jobs so how far do you reckon there going to push the car for f/all and just leave it up the street from the blokes house
As a racist, I am always comfortable discussing race and pointing out racially related facts.
‘Juvenile Crime’ is the PC for Black crime against the societies, communities and cities of a Western nation like Australia. By racial and ethnic profile, just who exactly is massively over-represented in these gangs who are looting and committing violent assaults?
The police know. They have their instructions from the Communist State and its CoVID Regime. The race card is definitely on the play. The police would not be taking a knee to this crime if the racial profile was not predominantly Black. If the racial profile of this crime was White or any ethnic demographic other than Black, the police would be not be taking a knee and protecting the population base – which is usually hostile to the community their crime is looting and assaulting.
All police in this country are privatised, and this being so these must accept full commercial liability for their failure to uphold their legislated mandate to “…protect life and property…”.
Cairns News published my piece on dealing with Victoria Police, and that will be applicable to all police in Australia. Just check them out on ABN Lookup for their ABN Number and registration for GST. You could also access their Dun and Bradstreet number too:

Asking your local copper for his bond (insurance policy) number could be a good one!!!
Forgot to mention that we taxpayers pay for the immobilisers anyway for that’s where the govt get their money, from taxpayers pockets..
Ambulance down in the valley stuff instead of the fence at the cliff top. Harsh I know but the “Rotan” (Rattan cane) used in Singapore is the answer.
What a farce! And so typical of Governments not to tackle the problem at it’s source. Blanket laws, Nanny laws, throw money at everything but the problem, make the majority pay for the sins of the few.
Instead of putting all that money into another lock, where the car will most likely get damaged anyway. Put the resources into showing these youths that “crime doesn’t pay” and then teach them to become decent members of society.
I doubt my car will ever get stolen, I bought one with a manual transmission.. These idiots wouldn’t know how to drive one.
Time to immobilise the trouble makers , this is just admitting that they have a problem that they dont want to deal with
I just love how the Bible describes our society so well in many places.
Job 12:24 “He takes away the understanding of the chiefs of the people of the earth and makes them stagger in a pathless wilderness. They grope in the dark without a light, and He makes them stagger like a drunken man.”
Isaiah 3:12 “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them”.
Ezekiel 7:17 “All hands shall be feeble, and all knees shall be weak as water.” The population will sit by and watch helplessly as is happening today in France, the UK, the USA and Australia.
I recall being in Birmingham, England in 2001, talking to some of the local lads about Islam. They said “Oh, don’t worry about that. Me mates and me know how to take care of them.” Yeah, right. They didn’t quite understand what England was facing. I wonder if they remember our conversations.
