Some other commenters have correctly pointed out that Robert’s “3 million in super” is not actually a particularly wealthy retirement nest egg.
Let’s be realistic here – Robert isn’t going to be rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous with that paltry amount.
And just BTW, the attempt at sarcasm misses the salient point that should be under the spotlight – namely that the frigging government has no business getting it’s grubby paws into ANYONE’S superannuated nest egg. The very idea of segregating out a specific segment of the population for targeted government robbery smacks of the “divide and conquer” tactics we’ve come to expect from our totalitarian Australian “government” institutions.
There’s a PRINCIPLE at play here, folks – and rest assured, whoever they say they’re going to target TODAY just to get public approval for their slimeball legislation, it’s only a matter of time before they widen their net to catch YOU and everyone else who ever farted in Australia’s general direction.
Remember that WEF mantra about owning nothing and being happy?

For the past few years the dollar and the euro have been declining by 8% per year, so in twelve years (2035), western currencies will be worth zero. By around 2028, western currencies will have hyperinflated to uselessness. Hence the WEF’s Great Reset.
As Western currencies continue their devaluation, what this means, – is that ‘more lower wealth people will then move into a higher wealth bracket.’
This advancing hyperinflation – ‘will then make loads of newly minted millionaires,’ – who will then be taxed by their governments accordingly.

Stephen Sneddon… that was already law, under the 1946 Social Services Act. There was no means test. There was only an income test if you broke through the threshold. It was introduced by Paul Keating for the “Workers party”… the ALP.

I really think this is off the mark. How much do you think $3M in super would return these days? The social services bill is $221 billion, 35% of the budget. These people have worked something like 45 years to retire and not be a burden on the social service system. Look at the cost of living now. There wouldn’t be any trips to France or a Porsche. How about tackling the super rich who avoid taxes?

To even reach the unhappy decision to postpone the holiday plans and international travel by commercial airline, one does have to be up to date with CoVID Compliance and the vaxx.

All Australians over Pension age should be taken completely out of the tax system and can earn whatever they like without prejudice and never have to pay another cent of tax no matter what they have.
Put this up for the next election and WIN WIN WIN.
Pensioners are struggling with inflation but most see it too confusing dealing with the tax office social; services and other government departments to even try to get their heads around what they can and can’t earn.
The whole thing is a total rip off while these lame politicians have ghee free for all pensions and massive incomes at retirement.
Sack the lot and lets start again for a fairer better Australia for all.

That is how I thought in 1973 when I and six others formed NT Loung Labor at a meeting at Darwin’s East Point Gun Turret. By 1976, when the party hierarchy refused to endorse candidates in six Aboriginal-dominated electorates because, as the Party President Ted Robertson pointed out amid supportive guffaws, “You’ll never get a blackfella to vote ALP”.
I resigned from the ALP that day, pointing out that “the ALP had ceased supporting workers and families and was now anti-family and anti-worker”. Things have got exponentially worse since then.
The ALP is now anti-human and anti-Australian. My guess is that Bill Gates dropped in to order snivelling sycophant Albanese to sign away Australia’s national sovereignty to the globalist UN’s WHO. When the nation hangs him just remember that.
I was also a leading unionist back then but following the mRNA jab mandate, I dropped into the trade union offices in Darwin’s Wood Street only to find traitors. All union leaders were behind the jab and the AGW carbon tax.
I have just discovered a new environmental crisis. When we take our nation back, Australia will be stripped of trees as furious citizens build millions of gibbets. Thus, I call on Aussies to practice self-restraint and use only existing steel lamp posts. I call on the World Wildlife Fund and Conservation Foundation to provide non-organic ropes to prevent risk to our precious flax, hemp, and fig-bark resources. Where’s Bob Brown when you need him?

It was shown in the Courts one time that there is no law saying anyone has to pay personal income tax-it is voluntary.
This cam e about, allegedly, when the ATO took a bloke to Court for unpaid income tax.
Prior to adjournment for the day, this man challenged the ATO people to show him the Law that said he had to pay income tax?
The ATO never showed up again.
It is actually business and industry that has to pay tax, because they use the resources and infrastructure of this country in order to earn their profits-and that is fair.
But instead of a fair deal for all, the whole show has been turned around-mirrored, as people like me are wont to say-so that the ones liable get a Get Out of (financial) jail Free Card.
And it was proven, a long time ago, by Walter Burien, that governments are the biggest shareholders in all the CORPORATIONS

Another avenue for “land grabbing”.

Private land/farms etc, can be effected by the tax.

I realise that’s a sarcastic advert but even so, I think its stupid. People have in super what they saved , its theirs. I have almost zilch but that’s on me and my lifestyle. People who have plenty is because they planned and worked for it. It’s not for the morons in government to do anything to. And people who plan are still affected when morons in government decide to stuff those plans up by touching the super or messing with the rules. So sick of the tyranny!
