Warren Pickering with his daughter Jhett, who defended her father in front of a media crowd and One Nation supporters in Melbourne this week.

From THE VICTORIAN VIEW*

They Dug Up Warren Pickering’s Past. His Children Told the Part They Left Out.

Warren Pickering walked into today’s press conference knowing he was about to discuss some of the most painful and humiliating chapters of his life in front of the nation.

He did not pretend to be an angel or produce the usual political word salad until everyone forgot the question. He admitted using illegal drugs as a young man, acknowledged drink-driving offences, and spoke openly about the people he had hurt.

At the same time, he firmly denied the most serious allegations against him, including the claim that he smoked ice in a house with children present. That distinction matters. Owning your past does not mean accepting every accusation thrown at you.

Pickering is One Nation’s Victorian leader and is vying to become premier at the state election on 28 November. Anyone seeking to lead Victoria should expect scrutiny.

But scrutiny should reveal the whole person – the mistakes, the denials, the evidence, and everything they have done in the years since.

Instead, The Australian reached straight for “Drugs, Deviance” – a headline seemingly assembled by emptying the tabloid cutlery drawer and selecting the sharpest objects.

Asked to name his greatest mistake, Warren gave an immediate and painfully human answer: “Letting my children down.”

He did not hide behind youth or difficult circumstances. He said he should have provided his children with a better environment and acknowledged the damage his choices had caused.

“The mistakes I made in my 20s hurt people. They hurt me. They hurt people I loved. And I will live with that forever,” he said.

That is what owning your past sounds like. It means admitting what you did, accepting the consequences and showing through your actions that you became someone better.

Then Warren’s children spoke, and the story became much bigger than some ancient private correspondence being waved around like the Dead Sea Scrolls. His daughter Jhett said: “My dad’s the greatest father I could ask for. He’s never been anything but perfect.”

The contrast was deeply moving. Warren looked back and saw the ways he believed he had failed, while his daughter saw the father who had loved her, supported her and been there when it counted. His stepson Johnny’s contribution was even more confronting.

He described a childhood marked by trauma and spoke bluntly about his estranged mother, calling her a “narcissistic, compulsive liar” and saying she had been “a junkie for 25 years” and an alcoholic.

Those were Johnny’s claims, made publicly in his own words. They should not automatically be treated as proven, but neither should they be ignored while every allegation against Warren receives a headline and several thousand words.

Johnny said the children’s lives “would have been a lot worse” without Warren. “He has got a past, and he clearly has,” he said. “But that’s his past.”

Then came the line that said more about Warren’s journey than any newspaper profile could: “What he’s done for himself is unbelievable.”

Here was a stepson acknowledging the difficult years while defending the man who helped raise him.

If the welfare of those children is central to the allegations, their voices cannot suddenly become inconvenient when they complicate the chosen storyline.

Warren described joining the Australian Defence Force as the turning point that changed his life.

It gave him discipline, direction and a sense of purpose through serving others. He built a military career, served overseas and later carried that desire to serve into politics.

That journey matters. A person who makes mistakes, recognises the damage and builds a life his children are proud to defend is evidence that people really can change.

Yet, the coverage seemed far more interested in old letters, private sexual matters and women’s lingerie.

Apparently Victoria’s housing crisis, broken roads and struggling health system could take a number – there were underpants requiring urgent national scrutiny.

Legitimate questions about Warren’s conduct could have been asked plainly. Treating consenting adults exploring their sexuality as inherently scandalous adds humiliation without helping voters decide whether he can lead Victoria.

This is why so many Australians regard the Murdoch press as the Liberal Party’s propaganda arm.

When One Nation threatens the comfortable political order, its Victorian leader suddenly finds his private life spread across the pages in lurid detail.

One Nation is forced onto the defensive, the Liberals benefit and the campaign becomes a public autopsy of events from decades ago. Readers do not need proof of instructions from Liberal headquarters to notice whose interests that framing serves.

There is also a glaring contradiction in the coverage. Warren’s former partner is described as having overcome her own struggles, become drug-free and built a successful business. Her recovery deserves recognition. So does Warren’s.

Redemption cannot be reserved for whichever person best suits the article. If her life can be understood as more than addiction and past mistakes, Warren’s life can also be understood as more than drug use, drink-driving and a troubled relationship.

We have all made mistakes. We have hurt people, disappointed ourselves or looked back at our younger selves and wondered what the hell we were thinking. Nobody is perfect – including those judging Warren from the comfort of their spotless imaginary lives.

A person’s character is revealed by what they do after they fall. Warren accepted responsibility, changed direction, served his country and worked to become a man his children could depend upon. That should be applauded.

Warren cannot give his children a different beginning, but he could help build them a better future. On Tuesday, those children stood beside him and told the country what he had meant to them.

Victorians will judge Warren Pickering’s policies, credibility, and ability to lead the state. They should judge the whole man – the mistakes he made, the allegations he denies, the responsibility he accepted, and the life he worked bloody hard to rebuild.

The headline told readers who Warren Pickering once was at his worst. His children told them who he chose to become.

19 thought on “Warren Pickering’s family steps in to correct smears of Murdoch’s Liberal shills”
  1. Thank you for nothing annoying auto-correct for changing prestitutions to prostitutions…again.

  2. ‘Instead, The Australian reached straight for “Drugs, Deviance” – a headline seemingly assembled by emptying the tabloid cutlery drawer and selecting the sharpest objects.’ — C.N.
    .

Murdoch’s media prostitutions are not reserved to print form.
    .

news.com.au continued the gutter dwellers of SLAVE-MEDIA’s low form, today having a go at Lachie Neale a Brisbane Lions Australian Rules Football player, seemingly picking up the knives that fell on the floor from out the back of the draw earlier this year, along with whining Wilson, “And AFL expert Caroline Wilson has revealed the off-field issues contributed to the Lions not offering Neale a new contract.” referring to him moving to Collingwood Football Club next season.
    .

On yesterday’s win by the Brisbane Lions over the Adelaide Crows, “On the field, Neale recorded 42 disposals and 13 clearances against Adelaide to set up a preliminary final against Hawthorn on Saturday.”
    .

Total bollocks, Neale had 21 disposals and 2 clearances after starting from the interchange bench.
    .

It makes me wonder what percentage of Murdoch spew vomited on unsuspecting plebes is factual.

  3. So our Masters and their M$M gatekeeper shills would have us convinced it is impossible for a “sinner” who is NOT in their ’30 pieces of silver’ scheme to turn his life around, embrace righteousness and enter the Temple of God? We’ll wait and see what the struggling Faithful have to say on Judgement Day!

  4. Smutty and grubby smear campaigns merely say that the arseholes authorising or running them are actually worse than their targets. So simply default to the lesser of two evils. The Uniparty Green alliance is 100% sure to deliver us sht, it’s been doing it for years.. At least One Nation and Pickering rate as a 50/50 proposition. That’s much better odds for the average Joe. And a bigger chance for a fair go.
    .
When creeps throw sht and hope it’ll stick, throw it right back at them and make it stick even better. What have you got to lose?

  5. A hypothesis on time line of coincidences and opportunities in the life of a prestitute…or useful asset?
    .

1980-1983: Justice Donald Stewart gagged from full investigation by terms of reference in the Royal Commission of Inquiry into Drug Trafficking concluded, with Rupert Murdoch’s prestitution in the Australian newspaper inferring that U.S. government’s C.I.A. links to drug trafficking in Australia were disproved.
    .

1985: Murdoch denounced his Australian sovereign rights by becoming a naturalised U.S. citizen, from then on owing his servitude to the U.S.
    .

1985: Murdoch purchased 20th Century Fox
    .

1987: Murdoch acquired American independent television stations from Metromedia, Inc.
    .

    1996: Murdoch launched Fox News
    .

2014: Joe Hockey says there are “new and stronger” links between the ATO and other tax offices around the world and clever accounting to hide profits is “coming to an end”: Sixty new ATO staff were employed to uncover the culprits and stop multinational profit shifting across borders, with court-test-cases staring in 2015.
    .

2015: Murdoch’s U.S. media empire was reported by the Sydney Morning Herald to have siphoned 4.5 billion dollars in cash and shares virtually tax free from Murdoch’s Australian media assets in the past two years.
    .

2015: The Australian Tax Office was involved in a legal dispute with Rupert Murdoch’s News Corporation: the A.T.O. lost the case regarding a tax deduction related to a restructure of his media empire, then was forced to pay Murdoch 880 million dollars.
    .

2015: Executives from Fortescue, Glencore, BHP., Rio Tinto, Glencore, Apple, Google and News Corp Australia appeared before a Senate Inquiry into Corporate Tax Avoidance.

  6. In my view, Warren Pickering has proved himself worthy of standing as a candidate by admitting his past mistakes and turning his life around. Not many politicians are prepared to admit past mistakes and, as the saying goes, “when one is pointing a finger at another, there are 3 fingers pointing back at them”.

  7. “This brings my brief review of The Killer Cop and the Murder of Donald Mackay to an end. Unfortunately, beyond superficial political reforms, little has changed since the dark days that saw the murder of Donald Mackay. The mass media that keep the public misinformed about the true criminality of capitalism have more power than ever, while official government whitewashes of crime continue to protect deep politics from critical scrutiny. John Jiggens penetrates the myopic drug-fuelled hallucinations that emanate from the mainstream media, and provides the necessary context to wake us (the public) from our addiction to the real drug of the nation, the corporate media.” — take from SM’s review in RIELPOLITIK February 9, 2020, on NARCO-POLITIK: ‘The Secret History of Rupert Murdoch’, CIA/Mafia Drug & Murder Cover-Ups – By Michael Barker.

  8. “…he should have provided his children with a better environment…” The first thing I noticed were the rings in the sheila’s nose – not the thing to engender confidence in viewers.

  9. Commenter Thompson
Yes Tanya should leap to the defence of Pickering because he was not sentenced to 9 years for importation and distribution of smak ( source: chatbot ) however WP is still too young and his DUI incidents too recent ( source: chatbot ), I don’t know that the orange party should continue with this experiment, however the ALP reportedly has a young girl now eating takeaway food and dropping it all over her front or lap so all this could be targeted promotion, it’s not exactly MAGA is it ?!? More like Newsom territory, can’t wait to see Jane Hume catching up with flaky pastry all over her front

  10. I’ve certainly noticed by this later stage of my life that many who’ve lived more model lives don’t develop the same depth of wisdom of those who’ve learned via challenges and mistakes.

So, it’s what the person has become now that is important here.

Then I think of deviants and bribe receivers recruited into high places who obviously have no interest in truly bettering themselves.

  11. I read of a young bloke who got caught and put in prison for selling heroin and then scored a big gig in the public service and married a politician and has lived happily ever since and looked upon as a really nice bloke by many ,so who really cares what Warren got up to as a young bloke smoking a recreational drug or that he got on the piss as most of us did in his then age group and as society has done since Jesus was seen making boot leg wine out of water at a wedding feast as described in John 2:1-11.
This is a warning to those who need it , not to throw stones in glass houses .

  12. Who are they to judge…Didn’t Jesus (God in the flesh) forgive a murderer? The Grace of God is endless and boundless, He wants you to know that…He wants you to know Him…again.

  13. He, he… a grubby smear campaign is nothing new in politicks. But when it comes from the purported guardians of our democracy we’re entitled to consider whether our guardians and their masters feel really threatened by our choices or whether they are desperate to steer them.
    .
Either way, if you don’t want to be pulled by the nose, in whatever direction, smell the koffee first. To be fair, make sure you go for koffee that’s honest to goodness organically Aussie grown rather than coffee that’s made and poisoned and served to you by some foreign owned, social engineering plants!
    .

  14. It reminds me of Virginia Guiffre, what happens when a victim of the elites breaks out, this happens again and again.
The social structure that ends up with broken families and people going on drugs, is no accident, it’s designed that way.

  15. The jackass political party scumbags just don’t get it: When you try to smear people with shit, that shit sticks more to you than the person under attack. How can we trust anyone who prefers to smear others instead of doing their job? I don’t want to see any political parties taking power in Australia. It’s time to change the paradigm (https://futureplan.earth), but while these pond scum continue to intrude in our lives we must be able to hold them to account. Mr Pickering owned up to his past, which is clearly irrelevant today. The Murdoch lie machine should be ashamed of themselves, but of course that would be too much to expect from the narcisisstic lie peddlers for the LIB/Nat party machine. They are just dead men walking without understanding that they are well past their use-by date.

  16. There is also something else MASSIVE I’ve noticed missing from the blurb. Not even once, does it mention paedophila, child trafficking, giving drugs to his kids or someone else’s kids. Trafficking drugs or being a Mule. Lots of couple introduce a third party, referred to as “swingers”, so that’s not an issue as both parties fully agree. His ex claims he used ICE. If he did, it must have been a rare event. ICE is extremely addictive and it damages the brain cells – its far worse than cocaine. There are also physical damages, which show up particularly on the face as that’s the part that is on show 24/7. Premature aging, a gaunt and haunted look, the skin itself is prone to sores, the teeth also tend to fall out, break off or they just literally rot in the mouth. The addicted person also is incoherent. He displays none of these permanent damages. You cannot hide your face. You also cannot hide mental impairment. Even if he spent say, 10 years recovering from ICE, there would still be the telltalesigns of past damage. So, I’m wondering….since he has come out and spoken as he has, that puts the past where it belongs. This way he CANNOT be compromised.

  17. A poignant reminder to any reader who may be on the fence on this particular issue is to simply reverse the script & apply it in honest terms to anyone of the previous hundreds of seriously accused Australian Political fiends accused in many many Yt videos of much more serious criminal activities and listed on the yt mainstream links of channels such as the ABC/Channel 7/Channel 9 etc etc = in each of these cases they all got off scot free; where a number appalling stated facts made it blatantly clear in the full light of day, that massive cover ups had been deployed by MSM. police and certain other Government departments in order to corruptly protect these highly guilty police/premiers, ministers & high ranking Gov slurps. This is beyond dispute except by the guilty parties. One does not have to be well versed in The Law nor to be particularly intellectual to see that the msm is liaring in this current case = as ordered by higher up bureaucrats.

Warren Pickering is not perfect & neither is anyone else on this planet but he is a thousand times better than many other political misfits who are actively seeking to wreck this country & destroy us all.
