In November 2025, Palantir Technologies was assessed as meeting the protected level under the Australian Information Security Registered Assessors Program (IRAP). This protection is a key requirement for companies seeking to handle sensitive government information.
The assessment enables a broader range of Australian government agencies and commercial organisations to use Palantir’s Foundry and artificial intelligence platform, AIP.
In a statement, Palantir said the assessment was conducted by an independent third-party assessor in line with requirements set by the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD), and demonstrated its ability to meet “stringent national security and privacy standards”.
The company described Australia as an “important market”, saying the clearance would open “new opportunities” across the public and private sectors.
In April 2025, CEO Alex Karp dismissed accusations that Palantir’s technology had been used to target and kill Palestinians in Gaza, saying those killed were “mostly terrorists”.
The UN Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca Albanese, has said there are “reasonable grounds” to believe Palantir has “provided automatic predictive policing technology, core defence infrastructure for rapid and scaled-up construction and deployment of military software, and its Artificial Intelligence Platform, which allows real-time battlefield data integration for automated decision-making”.
In the United States, Palantir has long worked with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). An investigation by 404 Media revealed that the company was developing a tool that generates detailed dossiers on potential deportation targets, maps their locations and assigns “confidence scores” to their likely whereabouts.
The company has also attracted attention in Australia for its work with private sector clients, including Coles, where they were hired to cut costs and “optimise” the company’s workforce.
“We kill enemies”
Karp has been blunt about Palantir’s mission. Speaking to shareholders and investors last week, he described the company’s purpose as helping the West “scare enemies” and, “on occasion, kill them”.
Karp also joked about “getting a drone and having light fentanyl-laced urine spraying on analysts that tried to screw us”.
Millions in government contracts
Despite the controversy, Palantir has quietly built a substantial footprint in Australia. According to Austender data, the company has secured more than $50m in Australian government contracts since 2013, largely across defence and national security-related agencies.
The 2024 financial report of its Australian subsidiary, Palantir Technologies Australia Pty Ltd, show $25.5m in revenue from customer contracts in 2024, though the company’s local financial reports are not audited.
In 2020, Palantir recommended that the Australian government consider “expanding the exemption from public access to disclosure documents”, arguing that filing financial reports with ASIC “is expensive” and “gives competitors access to confidential information”.
So how does the information get from our supermarket purchase to the grubbernment? Is some Corporate entity in cahoots with our grubbernment bureaucrats collecting and distributing our personal information by breaching our rights to our privacy?

Our horrible government has been losing billions and wasting billions, in the case of the Vic ALP they refuse to investigate where it went, so where are the cops on this ? The Vic ALP government even had a transport minister about 30 years ago who got in trouble for ordering a customised number plate for his car which read “HOON1”. The ALP-UnaParty is a disaster and a joke, they have had 50 years to degrade this place and they have done a brilliant job. It will take another 50 years to fix it, if that ever happens.
Why in this age is a census required when the Government already has all your details recorded? Oh that is right, if you don’t fulfill your details there is a fine. More income for politicians to waste on their pet projects and graft.
After all when they have correct information they don’t act on it. Remember when Kary Mullis the inventor told politicians and doctors worldwide that his invention the PCR technology was not capable of detecting a virus they went right ahead and “used” it for that purpose. Also when I showed them by lack of death numbers in 2020 and doctors worldwide provided proof that there was no such thing as Covid-19 virus, the intensity of the scam became more serious. Yet when deaths suddenly increased due to “Trump’s Operation Warp Speed vaccine” in 2021 all those in authority pushed even more firmly on vaccination.

I wonder if the Census is a form of old school spying?
I’m still waiting for my hard copy to come in the mail. At at a glance, the Census form seems to be an example of a unilateral contract, where only party signs up to perform? If so, such a contract should offer a benefit, like getting the 5th coffee free from a particular café. I’m not seeing any benefits, rather lots of negatives – time wasted filling in a form, intrusive questions, risk of data hacks, maybe backdoor on-selling the info on to bad actors, plus financial threats.
Is it more covid-style coercive control abuse?
Searched for the word ‘compulsory’ in the Census and Statistics Act 1905, but could not find it, probably hidden under a ton of psycho-babble. What I did find was “Part IV—Administration – 10 Forms to be filled up”. A quick legal dictionary search and ‘filled up’ seems to apply to fluids, not forms.
So, why would the govt roll out a unilateral contract, with threats of punishments, all the while appearing to be taking the piss, pretending that citizens are ‘filling up something’, other than their car’s petrol tank or a bucket?

Crikey and Michael West Media allegedly received funding from the recently-disclosed journo support money from the federal government (no need to explain why) and Woolworths was busted years ago sending customer loyalty data to the Feds, so Coles’ actions are no surprise.
