When our political leaders declare our fundamental rights to be our ‘privileges’, we can be sure of only two things! We serve them, they no longer serve us. Since when did such a state of affairs become acceptable to us Aussies?

betty mac, no one is arguing that Australian residents should not follow our laws, road rules etc. The protesters are not in breach of our laws they are exercising their lawful rights. Although fast disappearing, we are still permitted freedom of speech and freedom of assembly. That you appear to disagree with the current protests that are voicing genuine concerns about the visit of Israel’s President (who has autographed bombs used to kill women, men and children in Gaza), as well as highlighting Israel’s genocide as recognized by the International Court of Justice, its ethnic cleansing and enforced apartheid against the Palestinian people, doesn’t make it unlawful, nor does it have any bearing on the question of assimilation or Islamification. Many protesters are generational Australians, Jews as well as recently arrived migrants. Perhaps you believe that no protests should be permitted or that the government should decide who is allowed to protest and only in respect of particular causes.

Now we have the banks pretending to follow the RBA when really they follow the bond market, and in the interests of their customers survival they change the ratio of the loan so that interest is a bigger portion and paying off the principal is a smaller portion, so typically the loan repayment stays the same at least for a while, giving people a chance to sell their house and buy a bigger car to live in. However the bond market interest rates are going to have to go up and the RBA will have to continue to pretend they are controlling inflation, when the inflation was caused starting years ago by governments worldwide demanding more money for their dumb ideas and pork barrelling and kickbacks to mates. This is where the inflation came from. They ran out of assets to sell, they were too weak and gutless to get royalties on resources, they thought a post-political career with one of these places sounded better. Not forgetting almost free plastic novelties from China. So out comes the RBA governor yet again to pretend they know something that the bond market didn’t already know months or years in advance. Even a humble bogan like yours truly was warning about the coming inflation, years ago, before CoV ID. This RBA board gets paid to have meetings about nothing so you can bet your boots there are side-hustles. DimJim, whose only qualification is a thesis on Paul Keating would appear to have his sights on the PMship. He doesn’t get the opportunity to run overseas when he needs to avoid something, like Sir Queir running to China the other day when he had 5 of his rent-boys torching his house and car, and in the media. DimJim has to tough it out and prove he is made of True Grit so when he is finished the yoga breathing and had his massage we expect to see him back before the cameras vomiting up fake statistics and misleading data constructs, with a thick coating of anti-perspirant applied to his brow, this is a serious role, leading us into communism by the noses of the “lower third” who actually voted for them.
