In a National Press Club address last year, ABC Managing Director, Hugh Marks, spoke about the ABC’s Charter-directed commitments that included “non-discrimination.” He mentioned that it was the ABC’s role to “protect and promote our national identity.” And he said he wanted the ABC to be “the number one source of facts and truth.”
On each criterion, the ABC has failed with the broadcasting of “Always Was Tonight” on 22 January, hosted by Tony Armstrong.
Although the odious segments have been highlighted by some of my colleagues – as well as by journalists from The Australian and Sky News Australia – what has gone largely unreported is the content that was in the show’s news ticker – the horizontal bar of scrolling text at the bottom of the screen.
Here are some examples:
“Stickler historian wants you to remember Arthur Phillip was also a c**t.”
“Second Fleet also shit.”
“All white Australians officially declared bankrupt over incalculable debt to mob.”
“Dispossession: the only true crime white people don’t love investigating.”
“ABC announces more manageable series: Stuff the British didn’t steal.”
“Flag cape worn on front to hide piss stains.”
“White guy in ‘Australia: drive it like you stole it’ shirt kinda bragging.”
“Philanthropist creates multiple grants and fellowships to atone for family history of dispossession.”
“Rural property owner discovers his view isn’t priceless as new massacre sites uncovered.”
“Man who doesn’t want to be welcomed into his own country also not welcome in his own home.”
“Woman who has never left NSW thrilled to learn she’s actually visited 45 countries.”
“Government announces people with ‘white saviour complex’ now eligible for NDIS.”
“National Reconciliation Week announces theme for 2026: ‘Nah, f**k yas’.”
“Ally with tan asks therapist if she has accidentally done black face.”
The ABC tried to defend this program as satire. It was nothing of the sort.
Every country has its dark chapters – and Australia is no exception. But we have fewer dark chapters than other countries – and we’ve been willing to acknowledge those dark chapters, apologise for them, and learn from them.
Most importantly, Australia’s achievements and successes overwhelmingly outweigh our wrongdoings and failures. And that’s why we need to call out activist-driven programs like “Always Was Tonight”.
Activists are determined to look at our history in the most hostile, unforgiving and unbalanced manner imaginable.
In demonising British settlement, activists seek to delegitimise the achievement of modern Australia by falsely claiming our nation was founded on original sin. And in seeking to tear open the wounds of past grievances, their aim is to peddle the falsehood of genocide, sow social division, and divide our country by race.
Australians aren’t mugs. They can see through the agenda of these activists. And unlike the noisy activists, the majority of Australians appreciate how lucky we are to live in Australia, have gratitude to our forebears, and know we are the custodians of a remarkable legacy.
How brilliant that an IPA poll found that 76% of Aussies want Australia Day to stay on January 26 (up from 69% last year), including 83% of Aussies aged 18-24 (up from 52% last year).
Despite the best efforts of activists, Australians are clearly standing for resilience over victimhood, gratitude over resentment, forgiveness over retribution, self-assurance over demoralisation, truth over falsehood, and unity over division.
Which brings me back to the ABC. It’s an utter disgrace that “Always Was Tonight” – propaganda masquerading as comedy – was allowed to be made, let alone broadcast.
The taxpayer-funded national broadcaster is not the “the nation’s town square”, as claimed by Mr Marks. Today, the ABC more closely resembles a sewer of activism.
“Always Was Tonight” is yet another example of how the ABC has turned its back on objectivity.
The ABC … not of Australians, not for Australians, not by Australians. Just paid by Australians! That’s the only thing about it that’s Australian… its funding!
You’ve got to wonder why we CONTINUE to pay the ABC suckers to make suckers out of us too. All with the blessings of our Uniparty boffins who steadfastly REFUSE to make the ABC truly Australian.
The ABC is not independent. It’s a brainwashing activist organisation pushing policies and wheelbarrows alien to most Australians. And the Uniparty looks the other way as if it’s got nothing to do with it. Consent and approval by any other name!

Speaking of foreigners in a foreign land, perhaps keep in the back of your mind the historical REALITY that Australia’s Indigenous – maybe a million or more subsisting here in Australia by the time the Europeans started turning up – are expatriate Indians. That’s where THEY came from, let’s be clear, they didn’t just materialise and crawl out from the Billabongish sludge, they actually came from SOMEWHERE, and that happens to be India. About 5,000 years ago or thereabouts, so we’re told, beating the Europeans here by a margin sufficient to make it look like they’d been here FOREVER.
And dare we broach that OTHER inconvenient matter, folks? That niggling thorn in the side of the Dreamtime narrative, namely that a race of pygmies had occupied Australia before the Indians arrived. Seems that THOSE precursors (or even someone ELSE) were hounded all the way down to Tasmania before the Europeans came along and wiped them out. Very strangely, somehow the Tasmanian Aborigines, a distinct race in their OWN right, came back from the grave and were resurrected as a NEW race of blue-eyed blonde ARYANS FFS (you just can’t make this shit up. No, really).
And then there’s the mystery (for now) of Egyptian colonisation of the Australian continent. Is Egypt going to stake a Land Rights claim over Australia?
Foreigners in a foreign land indeed. About the only common denominator is once you’re here, like it or lump it, you’re Australian.
It was the British Empire who did all that, around 200 years ago. Everyone can go back in time and find some period where they were persecuted, massacred and so forth. Aggrieved people should not be watching whitey’s TV or riding around in whitey’s automobiles. The most interesting thing to me for a change is not the horrible ABC-TV but the orchestration of race division. We saw how Rockerfellas NGOs sponsored feminism with book deals and book tours right from the start. They succeeded in breaking up families on a mass scale and now we have a large contingent of old women with no home, their kids also homeless, the banksters collected all the money, the older gen is left to rot somewhere, the younger locked up in brainwashing camps from about age 2, it has been a RESOUNDING SUCCESS of top-down population control, and a huge amount of competing bloodlines have been removed from the gene-pool, as we all became, in Thatcher’s words, “individuals”.
This aborigine stuff is being directed too, could be Rockerfellas NGOs or via UN infiltration or some communist think tank. I would like to know exactly who is pulling the ABCs strings.
I have no time for the ABC since I contacted 4 Corners & the 7:30 Report programs asking them to ask the NSW Police why they allow a remote neural radio frequencie sonic torture device to be used on me 24/7 and both programs responded that because they have such small staff numbers they will find it difficult to assist me .
Accidently chanced on the show. That program isn’t going to age well. Except for one segment, the monologes were basically insult after insult. The one I found funny was a young comedian sending up a white intellectual who was a believer in all things anti-white is good. But as noted above, it was quality of the scrolling text that has sealed the fate of the juvenile person(s) who wrote as if the audience had a mental age of 13yrs and the people who allowed the broadcast to go ahead. ABC has cemented its place in mud, just a bit deeper than before the show aired.
