The Earth was an organic green machine powered by the Sun and it worked just fine hands free, the logic of the science was easily explained. So if we had stuck with our cheap coal our once thriving economy and high standard of living would be even greater now and we would still be the great progressive nation we once were and standout in this Western world of war and deceit. Those coal spin offs like petroleum products also were very useful. Our pollies knew best though so we got the opposite deal of replacementism. Replacement of all of our industries and our people with foreigners with no wish to integrate, they just ‘adapt’ Oz to suit their needs. We are just the easy going friendly ‘Aussies’ who give it all away!?! They give away our minerals/gas exports to special business interest mates instead of reaping its royalties to us. An Aussie from the 1970’s would find it hard to understand why everything that worked so well, didn’t need fixing and was built from the blood, sweat and skill of Aussie labour and ingenuity was dismantled.
