In order to create a “culture of consent,” a sexuality expert advises parents to get their child’s approval before changing their diapers.
Many viewers have subsequently voiced their surprise with the notion when Deanne Carson made the remark during an ABC News broadcast about teaching consent to young children.
A culture of consent must begin at birth, according to Carson, who tweets that she is a “sexuality educator, speaker, and author”.
Carson acknowledged that newborns won’t answer vocally since she’s talking about them. Naturally, a baby won’t say, “Yes, mom, that is fantastic, I’d love to have my diaper changed,” she said.
However, she said, “you are showing that child that their response matters if you leave a space and wait for body language and wait to make eye contact.”
On ABC (ABC), Deanne Carson spoke about kid consent. Carson, who deals with “children from three years old,” believes that parents must instill these concepts at a young age.

I’m always willing to comply. This mind boggling new information has me in a real tizz. Therefore could Deanne please point me towards a course in interpreting a baby’s needs, particularly with nappy changing. Should the mum or the dad do the changing or does the babies sex determine who should do that?
Will the baby want a powdered bottom, or will just wipes do? Should I wash my own nappies so I don’t create waste with the disposable ones? And what about the smells. Another climate change problem.
So many areas to cover.
I am thinking about taking insurance to cover me if later on the baby sues me for ………whatever. You name it.
It’s become very hard to navigate what has become a very complicated system.
Just one question. I am hoping that Deane is being sufficiently rewarded for helping so many parents. I don’t know how babies survived before. Such ignorance on the parent’s part.
