SENATOR Gerard Rennick, the Queensland Liberal Senator who, like precious few others, does his job of making bureaucrats and ministers accountable, has demonstrated how corporate bureaucrats corrupt the process of government.
In a recent Senate committee hearing, Senator Rennick asked the head of the CSIRO, Professor Doug Wilson, a number of questions about costings and other assumptions in a major report on Australia’s future energy costs called GenCost.
CSIRO, the nation’s leading scientific agency, apparently produced the report to convince the Albanese government, that its grand “net zero” drive to switch the entire energy network over to renewables was a (surprise, surprise) fantastic, wise and brilliant idea.
Rennick, who is no amateur when it comes to analysing government reports and associated spin-doctoring, found some major problems with GenCost, particularly in regard to the estimated generating capacity of onshore and offshore wind turbine farms, the generating capacity of nuclear power and coal and the cost of connecting the wind and solar power grid.
Rennick accuses the CSIRO of over-estimating the generating capacity of wind by 18% from it’s generally recognised 30% while seriously under-estimating the capacity of coal and nuclear power.
When Rennick asked Prof. Wilson if it was true that GenCost assumed there was no extra cost for renewable storage and transmission until renewables reached 60% of the grid, the CSIRO chief said he would “take the question on notice”.
When Rennick pressed him if there was anyone present who could answer the question he said the two experts responsible for the report, Paul Graham and his direct superior Peter Mayfield, were both on leave but he was still “very happy to take that on notice”.
Rennick’s next question was whether GenCost assumed onshore wind generating capacity of 48% and offshore capacity of 51%. Again, the CSIRO chief couldn’t answer and said he was “happy to take that question on notice”.
The Senator then asked the professor if he was aware that the average generating capacity for wind over the past five years was 30% and again the professor said he would take that question on notice as well. But that wasn’t the end of it.
“The Head of the CSIRO is clueless. He clearly only answers questions that suit his narrative and takes everything else on notice. Whatever happened to accountability in answering questions?” Rennick posted on X.
“The CSIRO is misleading the Australian public by overstating the capacity of wind farms. They have a capacity of 30% not 50%. This understates their costs by 40%. Why bother turning up to estimates if you aren’t going to bring your subject matter experts – especially in regard to their GenCost report which is used by useful idiots like Chris Bowen to justify their lies.”
The Senator went on to explain that coal and nuclear power, if allowed to run 24 hours a day without being turned down for solar input during the middle of the day, have a generating capacity of 90%. But by overstating wind and understating coal/nuclear capacity the CSIRO costed coal and nuclear at 20% more efficient than wind, i.e. 60% over 50%.
But Rennick says their generating capacity is in fact 300% more efficient, that is 90% over the 30% for wind. The CSIRO chief did manage to offer some defence for GenCost, claiming that Australian energy generation conditions are unique on the world stage.
But Rennick is far from satisfied with that excuse. “The net result of this is that efficiency of baseload power is understated by 15 times in relation to wind power while storage costs are completely ignored in costings, especially in regard to locating and building pumped hydro. The CSIRO have no idea where the pumped hydro is going to go.”
Sheep go baah is the problem, they never give up voting for red and blue, but the whole system is stacked that way with the crooked AEC deliberately sabotaging the Senate forms is one example. The Greens and Teals protest votes are easy to trick, they are totally sucked into the CO2 narrative. Rennick was told by the party he would not be on the future party ticket, what more could anyone ask of a career politician than to push on past breaking point. Well election 2025 should be interesting if we are allowed outdoors, or maybe the streets will be full of imported mercenary cops protecting us from bird-ebola and all the votes will be postal votes. In some countries they have indelible ink they dip your thumb in once you voted but here and the US we just have A RACKET
Don’t you just love Australian politics. It seems every time an unelected public servant comes up for interrogation he, she or it has no idea what they’re talking about.
As with any average B grade movie, the hero of the story is the “suppository of all wisdom” who corrects the bumbling underling and dazzles the audience with their never before seen competence.
While these alleged inquisitions give the appearance of accountability, in reality they’re simply justification for bureaucratic excess and yet another vessel for government mis and dis information. In this case, subliminally manipulating the public’s perception of wind.

Senators Renninck (Qld), Antic (SA), Cash (WA) and Canavan (Qld) are just about the only good ones in the entire LNP, there are a few marginal ones and the rest are bums on seats waiting for their superannuation. Down in the lower house they are nearly all unrepresentative swill from the party machine. What use is the party machine when it is silent about the fraud of CO2 being pushed on us by the UN. Australia is getting the 6uild 6ack 6etter treatment and you who might be reading this are NOT part of the plan. Banjo Paterson, Chesty Bond, Malcolm Fraser, Graeme Polly Farmer, Yvonne Goolagong, all nostalgia to be bulldozed into a pit, concreted over and forgotten as the Globalist schemes roll out in “5 eyes” places.
Plants and sea algae in their life-cycle turn CO2 into dirt and we actually need more topsoil not less.

I’ve watched Rennick and other senators grill the ASIO boss and the AFP who all looked like incompetent fools when they either wouldn’t or couldn’t answer the questions.
There should be an accountability for these bureaucrats that if they can’t answer these questions they should be audited with their jobs on the line if they fail…. Just like any other govt agency or govt contracted corporation.
The Australian people are sick of it.
Senator Rennick is fantastic and I’ve watched him many times kick bureaucrat butt. But Liberals have manipulated him out of preselection I assume because he’s good at his job which of course is standing up for the constitution and the Australian people.
I think he’ll probably go with One Nation and probably should.

Whilst fruitless, think of what the CSIRO could have done with nuclear energy and more importantly nuclear waste if it’s finances were not decimated by the “bought and sold”crowd we pay to look after our interests.

Has walking dogshit Bowen or his favorite bum-buddy Anal even HINTED at reviewing, pausing or (perish the thought) ROLLING BACK their very determined campaign to IRRETRIEVABLY DISMANTLE Australia’s energy industry and DESTROY whatever industrial base Australia had left?
Of course not. WAY too much money has already changed hands and WAY too many secret child-molesting videos have been stored away and WAY too many high positions in the New World Order have been promised to our fake corporate “politicians”.

I lost all respect for the CSIRO about 25 years ago. There was a ‘stakeholder’ meeting regarding biodiesel production. All of us were inflamed about some bullshit ‘study’ that the CSIRO had put together that was chock full of lies.
We voiced our concerns and the officials indicated that they would correct the ‘errors’. Sure enough, they did tweak some of their bogus figures, BUT IT DIDN’T CHANGE THE GOVERNMENT’S NARRATIVE. The agenda was fixed and any evidence to the contrary was disregarded.
The CSIRO is a ‘pay to play’ organization just like every other element of Canberra.
Does the budget for net zero include the disposal of the wind turbines at the end of their service lives? What about the cost of disposal of solar panels at the end of their service lives?
Wind Turbines are a fraud…they either require a diesel generator or power from the grid to keep the blades turning when there is no wind or the bearings will be crushed. Coal/Gas/Nuclear must run in the background, saving no ’emissions’ whatsoever and wasting the power produced. They are a fraud.
These are people that are not serious about renewable power, they are serious about doing as they are told which is destroy our country and its people…when are we going to stop this shit show people, I have had more than gutful of these psychopaths. I’ll buy rope..
I have had to endure this climate scam since High School, late 80’s. I’m 49! In mathematics we were taught about chaotic systems, the climate was one of the examples, as it is unpredictable…As soon as the same teacher, who also taught me science, talked about global warming and scientists ‘predicting the climate’, I pulled him up and reminded him of what he taught me in maths. He agreed with me and was surprised he didn’t notice the fraud like I had. I had absolutely no clue why they were lying back then, nor for decades after. I know now.
