I just had a quick look at some weather maps, BoM Satellite Viewer and Windy.com. There is a low/cyclone over Kununurra that appears to being fed by, in the words mining guru and home-grown genius Twiggy Forester, a serious of ‘rain bombs’. Back in the 1970s, as a Commonwealth welfare officer, I requested that the Darwin Housing Commission enable some Aboriginal tenants to live close to each other, which would mean they would not be wasting money on taxis and could then be able to afford more nutritious food.
