The gas reserves off the coast of Gaza are the root cause of every conflict Israel has had with Palestine since 2000. It was at the heart of the last five major Israeli military actions against Palestine, especially Gaza. The actions of the Israeli navy to control Gaza’s coastal waters in the early 2000s; the blockade of the Gaza Strip on June 15, 2007; the attack on Gaza in 2008; again in 2012, in August 2014 and in 2021.
Many people out there ask this question, “Why doesn’t Saudi Arabia and the rich Gulf states help the people of Gaza? And, why is Egypt being so cruel in helping to blockade Gaza?” The answer is the media perception firstly, and secondly, the real facts and true story of the events there are kept hidden.
The reason: Saudi Arabia and Egypt have jointly agreed that whatever happens, Israel must not be allowed to win in destroying Gaza, and that Hamas must stand firm. The people of Gaza dare not evacuate Gaza as this would give Israel easy access to the gas fields. Once that happens, then the entire region will be in danger of getting taken over. Why? All these past 7 decades of Israel’s existence, it did not have an independent energy source. It had to rely on the Americans for the energy it needed. With its own energy sources, Israel will have the fuel for its military to run rampage across the Middle East, and pose an existential threat not only to the region, but to the entire world. Israel has to be DENIED ACCESS to its own energy sources, AT ANY COST!
As a senior Israeli politician put it, “Hamas… has confirmed its capability to bomb Israel’s strategic gas and electricity installations… It is clear that, without an overall military operation to uproot Hamas control of Gaza, no drilling work can take place without their consent.”

Thank you Cairnsnews for having Col MacGregor answer some questions although for some reason the video is now unavailable but I did listen to him yesterday and heard him say Netanyahu was an Israeli patriot and yes, Israel will probably take over the Gaza strip as it usually gains more land after a war eg 1948 and 1967.
Some of the things not discussed were:- why the security system failed as I heard more missiles than usual were launched and the iron dome couldn’t handle them all (or it had an outage like Optus the other day) as I heard that the terrorists entered Israeli army barracks killing the IDF soldiers in their beds, putting their uniforms on and going door to door pretending to be IDF soldiers so Israelis would let them in.
Israel also distributed leaflets to advise Palestinians where to move to before they attacked but they either weren’t read or obeyed -its a war, and distraction to get our minds off the financial system that is falling. Thankfully there is a cease-fire and hostages are being returned. One of my favourite prophets now realizes this war had been planned at least 6 months ago and heard this “You had to bring Israel into it didn’t you? Now exposures are going to take place.” He also said a soldier would come forward with information.

This would require the execution of all West Bank settlers. I can’t see this happening but it is possible.
My most likely scenario is: Iran, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon (Hezbollah), Houthi Yemen, and Iran, jointly eliminate Israel. It they are assisted by Russia or China or both, the crisis will be over in hours and permanant peace will be possible.

Children and adults imprisoned without charge, humiliating checkpoints, daily harassment by the IDF and Israel settlers who destroy their homes, confiscate their land with no legal recourse for the victims. They live under a brutal military occupation that can and does, kill Palestinians (hundreds every year) with total immunity.
I like Col Macgregor and his videos, especially live ones, but I still can’t see how he can say that the Israeli soldiers are not targetting civilians when it’s mostly civilians that have been killed. There are many videos out there displaying Israeli soldier cruelty so, no they don’t just retaliate because they feel threatened. He doesn’t really explain the US support for Israel or about Netanyahu and how he is so disliked by many Israelis. He wants to hang in there because otherwise he knows he is finished and will be tried for war crimes. I don’t think it’s about trying to make a safe place for his people. It’s genocide and the whole attack was planned.

IMO the original live video podcasts featuring Judge Napolitano and his guests are far more watchable and enlightening than those that have been transcribed to a peculiar animated avatar format with an overlaid audio track lifted from the podcast. Why someone manufactures those, when the original video podcasts are readily available, escapes me.
In any case, Douglas MacGregor seems to be one of just a few commentators who really know what they’re talking about WRT the current Middle Eastern and Ukranian situations.
