20 October 2016:
KAP Member for Kennedy Bob Katter condemned the Prime Minister’s and Treasurer’s answers in Question Time today in relation to S Kidman & Co as “a load of bull-dust.
Mr Katter said the Question asked by NXT Member for Mayo, Rebekha Sharkie about the Kidman sale was, “clear and straight forward, but the Prime Minister gave a waffling non-answer handballing it to Treasurer Morrison for more waffle.
Rebekha Sharkie’s question whether the PM agreed that the 100 per cent Aussie bid for Kidman should receive preference over any equivalent bid involving foreign interests – should have received an unambiguous answer from the PM.
Instead the PM and the Treasurer wouldn’t even say that a local bid should get preferential treatment — especially given there would be more jobs and the money staying in Australia.
Today Mr Katter teamed up with Senator Nick Xenophon and Rebekah Sharkie MP to throw political support behind the all Australian bid for the Kidman cattle empire.
Says he backs Aussie farmers time and time again, with 3 stories in the top 10 latest news article relating to farms…cant see the one where it looks like Rob Katter and Shane Knuth prefer coal mines to farms in the Darling Downs region. Cant see any articles in the latest news top 10 about mining eh?
Coal, Bob, is sooo last century…as should be your love of the coal industry. Make sure your boys understand that farmers need underground water as much as coal mines do. The human race existed for centuries with out electricity…see how long they last with food?
Not that this matters I suppose, seen as how Australia has been under surrender since 1974 when the Federal gubbermutts found a way around the Australian Constitution hey. I mean, from what I can find China already has over 86% of Queensland under their control. So it should be ok for your party to to put donations to you and yours above the good of Australians yeah? You know, before they own it all like? Like the other major parties do…fatten the linings and ignore those dying? And I thought you were different 🙁
Yes, it provides jobs. Yes, Australia sold 375 million tonnes in 2013/14 financial year. Ever tried eating it??? Na, me either! We should be, as a nation, leading the way with renewables. We have the inventors, we have the know how. Yep, there was a shit storm over the blackout in SA, but did they stop mining coal when the first steam engine exploded? Nope. But, as our gubbermutts dont have the true balls to lead, we are doomed to follow.
3 words Bob. Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.
Maybe you should let the fat reef eater buy the Kidman lot, Bob? After all…she will probably prefer to mine it…maybe she could find coal and you n her could be friends 🙁
Australia is for sale, Katter is right. At least hes there to the gov honest.
