Many of us in Australia find it totally implausible to claim this rifle(below) was capable of shooting anybody or anything accurately at more than 20 yards. To claim differently is an affront to the intelligence of several million active gun owners and shooters of Australia.
I have a 60 year experience with sporting long arms and ballistics and this rifle in its published state below was not used to shoot Charlie Kirk.
Several detailed, analytical studies by experienced Hollywood effects expert Jason Goodman in published reports have stated categorically Charlie was not hit with a projectile coming from his front, but rather from behind.
A 30.06 round certainly, from video and ballistics analysis, was not used to shoot Charlie from any direction.
Any hunter viewing any of the numerous published videos showing Charlie being hit would confirm this analysis. He would have been knocked backwards off his chair.

The rifle allegedly found by the FBI stashed in nearby woods at Utah Valley University wrapped in a dark towel is a Mauser 98 action, chambered in 30-06 Springfield, an American military round developed in 1906 and is a .30 calibre. It appears to be in poor condition and has an unusual, perhaps rusty trigger guard.
The forward dovetail telescopic sight mount has almost slipped off the receiver indicating the scope mounts are loose, making it impossible for an accurate shot even at close range.
This round is quite capable of killing at more than 500 yards but the rifle above is in poor shape, and has a poorly fitted, apparent variable-powered telescopic sight which is mounted too far back to enable a shooter to fire an accurate shot.
In fact anyone firing this rifle would suffer a damaged eye from the scope due to its 2,670 ft-lbs muzzle energy and heavy recoil. The shooter would have a black eye without any doubt. It is also very doubtful this rifle in its published state would be capable of accurately hitting any target at any range.
The question remains. Did Tyler Robinson the alleged shooter have a black eye when caught?
Mug shots released by the FBI do not show Robinson with a black eye.
Another explanation for the scope being set too far back is that in dropping the rifle from the rooftop when escaping from the sniper’s position, the impact, if the rifle hit the ground butt first, could have forced the scope mounts to slip backwards, however either way it indicates the scope has loose mounts which does not allow for accurate shooting especially over 100 yards, the distance stated for the Kirk shot.#

I have read this published report from PBS News, April 3, 2026:
PolitiFact spoke to forensic science and criminology experts who said an “inconclusive” finding on a bullet fragment like this is not uncommon, and it does not rule out that the weapon used in Kirk’s killing was the same one linked to Robinson.
“When the results of a bullet fragment analysis come back as ‘inconclusive,’ that does not mean that the rifle did not fire the bullet,” Christopher Ballard, a spokesperson for the Utah Country Attorney’s Office and part of the prosecution team, wrote in an email to PolitiFact.
“There just aren’t enough marks on the fragment to make a conclusion one way or the other as to whether the bullet fragment was fired by the particular rifle.”
Mr Ballard is correct in his statement except the alleged 30.06 projectile in any weight range travelling at 2500 fps would not have fragmented by hitting soft flesh at the stated range of approximately 140 yards. It would have travelled right through the flesh and been found on the ground or most likely embedded in something or someone else behind Charlie.
This explanation of fragments is pure nonsense. Any projectile discovered by investigators would have been sufficiently intact to analyse for distinctive rifling marks.
This evidence in itself without the AI-generated text messages Robinson allegedly sent is enough to throw out the entire frame-up of Tyler Robinson by an alphabet agency in concert with Mossad.
