A PANEL of Canberra public servants called the Independent Parliamentary Standards Commission (IPSC) is still trying to harass and humiliate Senator Ralph Babet over a social media post they disapproved of.
The panel accuses Senator Babet of “contravening paragraphs 8 and 10 of the Behaviour Code for Parliamentarians 2024 by making posts they say were “offensive, disrespectful and harmful to individuals who are Commonwealth parliamentary workplace participants”. Well diddums. Hurty words were spoken about Commonwealth employees!
So the panel decided to impose santions on Babet, namely “attend and participate in one-on-one training conducted by Parliamentary Workplace Support Service on Safe and Respectful Workplaces and the Behaviour Code on or before 20th Decembeer 2025”.
Furthermore Babet was ordered to “enter in to a behaviour agreement with the IPSC and provide and undertaking “to refrain from using racist, homophobic, sexist or other language demeaning of others whether verbally or in writing, or through sharing on social media until his term as a Senator expires”.
Babet has refused to bow to these demands. “Public servants have no right to tell an Australian citizen and a Senator what he can and can’t say,” the Senator posted on X.
“The censorship industrial complex and the woke Karens will eventually fall. They want me to “respect” the far Left radical Marxists. How’s about no.
“They claim that words typed onto a screen on X (not even directed at anyone) are harming commonwealth employees. I will never bow to you petty tyrants.”
In another post Babet commented: “Remember they’re not after me they’re after you, I’m just in the way. If I fold, you’re next. Which is why I’ll never fold.
“These petty tyrants tried to threaten me into attending what is essentially a reeducation camp. Labor, Liberal and Nationals all had a part to play in this. Which is exactly why they’re getting crushed in the polls.”
Cairns News agrees with Babet. The demands of this so-called panel are a shocking example of totalitarian speech and thought control.
This same “beahviour panel” apparentlly had no problem with independent senator Lydia Thorpe letting loose on some members of the public in Melbourne.

Consequently these committee degenerates should pull their heads out of their bums and breathe easy for a while and discover just what common sense is.
I suspect Babet would have no trouble being re-elected unlike his state premier
