Former Liberal Senator Gerard Rennick's People First have stepped into the ring with a candidate for Farrer, Jamie Bonnefin

People First is pleased to announce Jamie Bonnefin has been selected as our candidate for Farrer. Jamie is happily married with two children and runs his own business.

On behalf of People First, I would like to thank Jamie for committing to put his time and effort into the campaign.

The date of the Farrer by-election has been set for May 9th 2026. I intend to campaign with Jamie in the two weeks prior to the election day and will be hosting a number of meet and greets in the electorate during that time.

People First is seeking volunteers and donations to help with the campaign. Volunteering will involve manning booths, letterboxing, road-siding and hosting a sign-site on your property.

Prepoll will start on Tuesday April 28th 2026 and run for two weeks up until election day. We will advise the locations of the booths once details are released by the AEC.

If anyone is interested in helping out, please email president@nsw.pfp.org.au with your contact details and the way in which you can help.

Donations can be made via our website peoplefirstparty.au

This by-election is an exciting opportunity for People First members to promote our vision, our solutions and our people to the general public. We are the only political party with the policies to fix the structural imbalances in our economy and put Australia back on the path to peace and prosperity.

The campaign will be an excellent opportunity to engage with other People First members. Members from Queensland and Victoria have already committed to travelling to Farrer to help with the campaign.

We greatly appreciate any support that you can offer and look forward to working with you over the coming weeks.

  1. Yes goy, I’m our saviour. Volunteer for me, donate to me, vote for me!
    Haha absolutely pathetic.
There is no solution unless you vote with rope.

  2. Gerard knows full well what splitting the vote will do towards expelling uni party politics

  3. Yes if Gerard can’t use his influence inside the orange party it will get totally lost in wider Australia, so why is he doing it, for practice ?
“Democratic” politics is about getting a majority, if you can’t understand that, you are lost, Malcolm Roberts has done wonders for PHON.
The silly blue faction axed Rennick and they were prepared to pay for that, they seem to want to help their red UnaParty mates.
The orange party is already halfway to a majority and that is in large part a protest vote that may not be around in a few years.
As much as I appreciate his efforts I will put Orange and Yellow on my ballot because actual results are possible.

  4. Michael Slovanos comments: Gerard Rennick was one of the best senators seen in the Australian Senate benches. However, he would be better employed working with One Nation and aiming to get back into the Senate. I don’t think his People First Party is really going to help the bigger picture, as good as their ideas may be. Perhaps Gerard has other reasons.
