We await anxiously for a report that an unfortunate flood victim or rescuer between Mackay and Innisfail has been attacked by a crocodile. Katters Australian Party MP for Hinchinbrook, Nick Dametto of Ingham, says his electorate is underwater in a record flood. We have no doubt Nick, who is soaking wet in the middle of the deluge, will be warning the SES and all those rescuers wading through water to be on the lookout for four or five metre crocs. He says his electorate is overrun by them.

LNP Premier David Crisafulli, another Ingham lad is staunchly against croc control, yet he remains in Brisbane as record floods ravage Townsville and Hinchinbrook. Ten to one he won’t turn up and dip his toe in the water.

Fight or flight no longer applies or works during home invasion, fight or lights out is the reality for victims, usually outnumbered and under vicious assault.
Lock your screen door at all times and side access. If some youth appear inside armed its wise to have some means of self defence in all of your rooms. If they are armed killing them would be the quickest and safest option to disarm and render them no longer a threat. Recording surveillance cameras might help your case if so although if they have any childhood war traumas or are black you may be in the shit but you will have done your bit. If we should have learned anything from the wars of Communist expansion on three continents in the 20th century: teenage males make the best soldiers and guerilla fighters. This is Gook 101. Nobody who wakes up to find one or more home invaders in his house knows what the invaders are armed with, but by everything we’ve read about their MO, they’ll probably be carrying knives or machetes and will have no hesitation to use them. Well Madonna, I don’t give a hoot whether they’re 13, 23 or 33 if they’re in my home to terrorise me and my family and to steal from me they bloody well deserve whatever comes their way, including death if it so happens. No one trying to protect themselves from home invaders would be trying to kill them, but it might happen in “the heat of battle” where someone is trying to protect himself and his family. Too bad, they shouldn’t have been there in the first place. The brain addled bleeding hearts who want to smack them on the hand and tell them not to do it again would change their tune in a heartbeat if one their kids or wife or husband was killed by one of these young thugs. Guaranteed.
