Aussie icon Dick Smith on ABC Radio opens up on the inefficiency and huge cost of renewable power which he says can never power industry and how battery storage costing $90m for one hour’s supply is “delusional.”
Sunday All Over host Ian McNamara invited Dick to discuss the ALP’s mad rush to install thousands of floating windmills off Illawarra. His explanation of the madness behind ocean floating windmills started off an avalanche of emails and phone calls which jammed the switchboard.
Most callers backed the electrical entrepreneur with tales of inefficient batteries and the entire grid breaking down particularly at Broken Hill after a storm which caused widespread blackouts and the $40m battery installation which did not work.
Then to top it off Simon Holmes a Court of Teals fame although the quintessential greenie and UN Agenda 30 supporter, had to agree with Dick, the cost of renewables was far too much for consumers to bear.

Not Windfarms, subsidy farms gifting millions annually to the builder/investor.
Over the 10 years up to 2022-23 Australian taxpayers and electricity customers paid more than $29 billion in subsidies to the producers of renewable electricity through federal government schemes. The current rumoured cost is $600,000 per turbine gifted annually to the scabs that build them. Completely understandable with politicians who cannot grasp the fundamentals of photo-synthesis that fix any C02 ‘problem’ and also the meaning of ‘affordable’. The sun’s engine should be ours as well as in nuclear fusion but that demands a polly IQ of 90+, so nah.

Not to mention the fact no change meant affordable power for us punters until an alternative that worked was finally viable.

Careful! A dismal failure of wind could mean a strong push to go nuclear. This would be disastrous for Australia as it would be totally foreign controlled, the technology has NOT evolved here.
Besides, the world’s largest power stations are ALL HYDRO. Never mind Fukushima, the largest nuclear power plant hasn’t operated for 20 years as it’s simply too dangerous.
