We call for an Australian Banking and Cash Guarantee that includes these rights:
1) All Australians must be able to have reasonable local access to cash and full banking services.
2) All Australians must be able to choose cash when paying for food and essentials at physical retailers.
3) Cash in circulation is guaranteed by law and cannot be removed by political party governments
The system as a whole commenced implementation in 2018 by the big banks known as NPP. (National Payment Platform) a project headed by the RBA in 2012 with the collaboration of the major banks (https://nppa.com.au/the-company) . Along the way it has become an expanding live payment system in real time whereby of my interpretation the RBA is the intermediary as the approval gate to every live transaction as well as the underwriter of the system. This system has slowly introduced various ID and authentication requirements with the latest one being QR code for those that got serialized during Covid.
The only instrument left for this system IMO is the introduction of CBDC which will transform the way the Government Dept. through their bank RBA deliverer or hold back after automated cross referencing all forms of payments ie: Welfare, ATO, Pensions, Rebates etc.
The system by design has put the onus on businesses in general knowing they will be a majority of policing bodies that either accept or reject a persons transaction. Cash therefore will still remain but diminish purely because it will be seen and made an encumbrance for the the business owner. The Government and their elite bodies have slowly but surely tip toed into our personal lives creating an Authoritarian state run by a two party system exampled by the jailing of a threatening party leader when challenged (Hanson) only to see her solemnly towing party lines now days.
Don’t know what to think any more, just good we can have a conversion here on CN with like minded people.

I usually sermonise about cash at the checkout and get support from those behind me in the queue as well as checkout operators as far away as Asia, the ones who seem most confused are the TikTok generation who so far seem to be sold on merging themselves with the latest phone.
