By Dr Dan Mealey, former SAS doctor
As you likely know, I’m motivated to change societal attitudes toward Australian veterans, attitudes that culminate in the kind of disempowerment that has driven over 1,600 of them to suicide. On all our minds ought to be the question: “if this is how society treats the Commonwealth’s most decorated war veteran, what chance does any other veteran have?”
Critical to restoring healthcare, welfare and legal equity for our veterans, is an urgent unification of good Australians to stop our journalists eroding legal processes and common decency.
We used to believe that “actions speak louder than words”?-?until of course journalists with the monopoly of those words started selling stories founded upon lies. Missing from their stories, are essential truths that might lead the public to question the veracity of what they read. Here’s what they didn’t tell you… Following multiple acts of death-defying heroism in the battlefield, Corporal Ben Robert-Smith was awarded the Victoria Cross and the Medal Gallantry, making him the most highly-decorated soldier in the Commonwealth. Since receiving those awards, Mr Roberts-Smith has directed his philanthropy toward the following initiatives and positions:
- Chairman, The National Australia Day Council. In holding that position, he participated in quarterly board meetings, managed the selection process for the Australian of the Year, assisted in the provision of quarterly reports to the Government, and provided oversight of the NADC management.
- Member, Queensland Premier’s Veterans Advisory Council. The Council sits twice a year and provides advice to the Premier’s office and Cabinet on veterans’ issues pertaining to Queensland.
- Deputy Chairman, Prime Minister’s Advisory Council on Veterans’ Mental Health. As Deputy Chairman, he provided advice to the Minister for Veterans Affairs and the Prime Minister’s Office on veterans’ issues and policy. The Council sits three times a year.
- Deputy Chairman, Prime Minister’s Industry Advisory Council on Veterans Employment. The Council has quarterly Board meetings and its role is to provide advice to the Government on veterans’ employment issues and provide advice to industry bodies as to the same. Regular reports are provided by the council to the Government and also assistance is provided in relation to the Prime Minister’s Veterans Employment Awards.
- National Ambassador for Legacy Australia. He has undertaken multiple fundraisers for Legacy and he has been the keynote speaker for a number of their events.
- Ambassador for the SAS Resources Trust. This body supports the dependents of SAS operators killed in action or training. His duties included attending fundraising activities and being keynote speaker.
- Patron of the White Cloud Foundation. This body assists and supports sufferers of depression. His duties included attending fundraising activities in aid of the development of a post-natal depression clinic at Royal Brisbane Hospital and being keynote speaker.
- Patron of the Wandering Warriors. This body assists the transitioning of servicemen and women so as to gain further education in the workforce after retirement. His role with the Wandering Warriors included speaking at fundraising events and undertaking ‘meet and greets’. He also assisted with the establishment of an MBA scholarship program for veterans at the University of Queensland.
Mr Roberts-Smith has also in the past undertaken the following voluntary activities on a voluntary basis: - He was the Activity Coordinator for the National Legacy Camp for the period 2007-2010 and Camp Director in 2009. The camp is attended by children from the police and the military who have lost a parent. His duties included living at the camp and coordinating camp activities.
- He has spoken at a large number of schools including Hale School, Perth, St Hilda’s in Queensland, The Southport School (TSS) in the Gold Coast, Melbourne Boys Grammar School, Canberra Grammar School, Luke’s Anglican College, Victory Church College, Matthew Flinders Anglican College (being the school that his children attended) and Ipswich Girls Grammar.
- He has been part of media campaigns promoting the Australian War Memorial, including appearing in television commercials. He has also spoken at Australian War Memorial events such as ANZAC Day, Remembrance Day and Last Post ceremonies. He jointly led the 2014 Anzac Day March and the 2019 ANZAC Day March at the Australian War Memorial.
- He undertook promotional activities for the Shrine of Remembrance in Victoria.
- He was Ambassador and the face of a television campaign for Queensland Road Safety.
- He participated in an educational campaign organised by the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, which involved his appearance in resource material provided to Australian schools known as Morcombe Foundation Resource Packs.
- He participated in television commercials and media calls for the Danny Green One Punch Campaign, which was in support of stopping youth violence.
- He took part in a program run by Student Edge called “Back to School With”, which involved the provision of an inter-active online address on life experiences to about 900,000 students throughout Australia.
- He supported the Australian Veterans’ team for the Invictus Games through media calls and interactions with the team.
- He undertook visits to the Greenslopes Hospital, Queensland to engage with veterans who were patients.
- He supported the Starlight Foundation Programmes, including visiting the Royal Brisbane Children’s’ oncology ward, and supporting Callum Hughes, a young boy who was severely injured after being struck by a vehicle.
He has undertaken keynote speaker activities on a voluntary basis for many organisations including the following: - the South Australian Police Service’s Special Tasks and Rescue Force 50th Anniversary Gala event;
- a Queensland Police Service event at the Gabba Oval in Queensland in aid of “Hats Off for Mental Health”, which was attended by about 1,000 police officers;
- the Soldier On Australia charitable organisation (which offers support to veterans, Australian Federal Police, Australian Border Force and others);
- The John Monash Oration, an annual event organised by the General John Monash Foundation;
- Queensland Supreme Court White Ribbon Day event, which was a fundraising event to focus on the issues of domestic and family violence;
- Bravehearts White Balloon Day event, which was a fundraising event for child protection;
- the Exercise Stone Pillow event, which was a fundraising event for homeless veterans;
- the Halogen Foundation, which promotes student leadership in Australian schools;
- Mates 4 Mates Kokoda Lunch fundraiser, which was a fundraising event to raise money for veterans’ rehabilitation centres;
- Switch On Charity dinner, which was a fundraising event to raise money for the Ipswich Hospital Foundation;
- 42 for 42, which was a fundraising event organised by Afghanistan Veterans and the Queensland Cricketer’s Club to raise funds for an Afghanistan War Memorial; and
- Men in Business event, which was a fundraiser event to raise funds for the provision of mentors for underprivileged children.
Editor: The modern Labor Party has as a key plank of its hidden ideology a determination to denigrate the military which is part and parcel of the Karl Marx communist manifesto.
He was a scapegoat – a distraction… heads should have rolled from the top down !!!
The Land of Make Believe said – “… we should take it with a grain of salt.”
Indeed, purveyors of news sites (or ANY web site, for that matter) should be doing their due diligence to establish their own confidence in reports of incidents and accidents, hints and allegations.
Recall that old adage – “If you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day, but if you teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime”. It neglects to mention that if you give a man a poison fish, then you kill him.
So it is if you encourage a person to determine the truth for themselves, rather than insist on a spoon-fed narrative.
We might also mention that if you’re over target, then you invite attention – an occupational hazard for raw truth operations like Cairns News and many OTHER sites, just BTW.
There’s little doubt Cairns News is monitored by Australian and foreign three-letter agencies. We accordingly might expect the entrenchment of plausible personas, or even the occasional drive-by, to serve covert agendas.
For the most part, no-one is paying for the privelege of reading Cairns News articles or posting comments in the forums, so another tried and true saying – “Buyer Beware”.
And dare we say it? Cardinal rule – “Don’t feed the Trolls”. And if you inadvertently attract their attention – don’t make any sudden moves.
Editor, cairnsnews said – “No doubt Pat will enlighten you.”
President Putin got along well with George Dubya, crediting him as a likeable fellow, but qualified Dubya’s administration with the observation – “It’s the court that makes the King”.
What do you do when the entire court is infested with irretrievably compromised foreign-owned mass-murdering Luciferian psychopaths, and their legions of minions are selected for compliance and optimised for unquestioning obedience?
No doubt Pat will enlighten you. Ed
Nah we we didn’t have to believe them because we had Aboriginal correspondents on the ground in real time ringing in reports. I am pleased you were on the ground at the material time. Did you meet Alison from Katherine? Editor
Editor, cairnsnews said – “… they were just following orders.”
And isn’t that the point (or at least A point, a very SIGNIFICANT point)?
When the orders come down from the mass-murdering Globalist puppeteers to shoot live rounds into the protesting crowds, what does the track record suggest? When the troops alongside the armies of HIRED MERCENARIES masquerading as “police” are ordered to go door to door to round people up for mandatory injection and transport to “Quarantine Camps”, who is going to buck the status quo?
Have we seen ANY pushback from ANY of the foreign-owned and controlled military outfits ANYWHERE in Australia? What does precedent have to say?
Worse, the horse has already bolted and any supposed “patriots” missed the window of opportunity to assert Australian sovereignty and pull these mass-murdering bastards back into line. When the foreign-owned HIRED MERCENARIES were enforcing the bioweapon genocide of Australians, what did we hear from our obedient order-following military aside from CRICKETS?
As we all well know, the LEGISLATION to bring in FOREIGN troops to do the job that the locals WON’T was passed long ago. That’s the HARD option, the BLATANT plan, but let’s not overlook the SNEAKY mischief underway. They’re ALREADY bringing in scores of Indians (bless their curry-filled hearts) – FOREIGNERS, no less – to train up as HIRED MERCENARIES aka “police” in Darwin, and most every other state and territory is on the same path.
This is big picture stuff, folks. Sentimentality ain’t gonna cut it.
Here’s more examples: is Pat from Vic really from Vic or does he just want you to believe he’s from Vic. The people who say they’ve been in such and such job, have they or do they just want to give credibility to their story?
Not saying these people aren’t what they make apparent, only saying we can’t know so we should take it with a grain of salt.
There are many more deceivers than there are actual “truthers”.
Re: the indigenous being taken.
Unless you were there and saw it or heard it with your own eyes you should not believe anything.
I remember when all the stories came out about indigenous youth being rounded up and force jabbed. Months later there was a video from people that were involved and they said they weren’t force jabbed and it was not as bad as it was being portrayed.
People love drama and so stories are sensationalised to get attention/viewers/followers/clicks/sales. And some people are just pathological liars or manipulate tors.
Who was telling the truth? No one knows but those involved. So, who can we believe about this? No one since we have no evidence.
Same with “anything” we read and hear. If you don’t have proof you cannot say it is the truth. So many people STILL believe everything they see and hear. Like books and research. How do you know the history and knowledge they reference in correct? If you weren’t there you can’t. Yet people quote this and that as factual when they have no proof but someone else’s word.
All stories and you “choose” to believe them.
Settle down Pat they were just following orders. Ed
This is for all the ‘good men and women’ fighting for good under the radar here in Australia and off shore, and our men and women current and past serving our country under enormous political pressure the best way that you can….this one is for you!

The Cabal hates the institution of military “special forces” of every country, they consider it a representation of white supremacy. This is a weakness that we must exploit!
Aussiemal said – “We should have a Military Force based in Australia for our protection only.”
… and that appears to be the diametric opposite of what it now is (could have said “of what we now have”, but we don’t “have” it, because it’s not OUR Army, it’s owned by foreigners and serves foreign interests).
I recall a time, better days, back when the Australian military was involved in making Australia a better place for all of us, whether through skilling the young folk up and teaching them some basic discipline to carry them through life, or by building essential infrastructure for remote communities, or providing disaster relief and rescue when Nature dealt a bad hand.
Now they hunt down and inject bioweapons into remote-living Australians, and aid and abet hostile foreign occupying armies in every Australian state and territory.
I’d suggest we DO need an Australian Military Force to look after Australians – because that’s something we don’t have right now.
As a non volunteer ex-service man, my opinion is that all these accusations of bad behavior of our Servicemen and Servicewoman could be prevented if our subservient politicians stopped kowtowing to foreign powers by sending our troops overseas. We should have a Military Force based in Australia for our protection only.
The Military can and does have facilities for training of personnel for trades and other occupations after a military career as well as top of the range training facilities for armed defence , for when required. Some of the trades training in the “forces” are mechanics, drivers, electricians, cooks, earth moving equipment, surveyors, tele-communications, radar, navigation, aircraft pilots and today I would say electronics and computer engineering.
All these trades are usable in the ordinary Australian economy outside the “forces”, once the career in the Military is terminated. Then if our Serving Personnel is not sent overseas to be cannon fodder we would have already trained people to be picked up by private industry. Hence lowering the training costs to that industry.
Unfortunately the honourable reputation earned by our past “diggers” is probably what encourages many of today’s recruits to sign on.
Dr Dan Mealey
A good soldier sees things in black and white and obeys orders. Good soldiers seldom question the conventional rationale for their activities. Thus it is, that those in the Australian community who do indeed question suspicious narratives, and I include all Cairns News readers in this category, occupy a position at the opposite end of the spectrum of public perception to that of soldiers.
This is why the Resistance Movement against totalitarianism and globalisation has had to survive without any assistance from the people trained to defend Australians… our soldiers. Not one soldier has presented himself and said, “You guys need training and equipment”. Instead, you pretended to cart flood debris, actually from one trailer to another, as a photo op. Others carted NT Aborigines to the Howard Springs internment camp to be jabbed and, for one lady, to die.
I created a web site targetting patriot soldiers and providing them with all the evidence they needed to see with clarity how they are being used against us. How many got back to me after two years attempted communication? Zilch.
Yet in 1984 I was approached by Australian Military Intelligence, requesting my cooperation in restoring lawful and patriotic government. So yes, once upon a time, there were indeed soldier patriots. Today, evidently, none.
So, Dan, you have the fucking nerve to seek our support when the same enemy kicks one of your boys in the nuts. We are not stupid. Few of us gave any credance to the ABC allegations and even less believed those criminals calling themselves Members of Parliament. And, for the record, many of the causes for which your VC was a patron belong to the enemy. He never bothered to check.
Go back to your Woke comrades, hang Angus from the nearest flagpole, and just maybe you will have a tiny little bit of credibility. And while you are at it, join the AMPS just so we know you are not one of the doctors we one day intend to hang.

In relation to my comment to Joe Bogan.
I was by no means being disrespectful to our Diggers and our current Australian Military when I made that comment.
‘Symbolism will be their downfall’
Cabal symbolism is ‘everywhere’ hiding in plain sight and when people become more aware, they will want it removed and/or destroyed permanently.
Irene Laird said – “Should an enemy start attacking or bombing our country now, how quick you would be to call them heroes again!”
Maybe you haven’t noticed, Irene… we have foreign-owned occupying armies of hired mercenary psychopaths in every Australian state and territory right now who’ve been threatening, terrorizing, assaulting, shooting, poisoning, kidnapping, incarcerating, torturing and murdering Australians for the past four years.
Still are.
Where exactly were our heroes then? Where are they now?
Word on the street is they were giving the occupying armies a helping hand! Just ask certain remote NT communities about their particular experience. And all the rest.
Rampaging around uninvited in Afghanistan terrorizing and murdering Afghans in their own country? That’s Australia’s captive foreign policy serving the Empire. Looking on while Australians get ground down into the gutter and destroyed in Australia? Priceless.
Sorry, Dude, but oils ain’t oils, and our Army ain’t our Army.
…and never forget what they did to our Diggers in Victoria during covid19 ANZAC Day when they fenced them out from the memorial, but allowed 85,000 seats to be available during the AFL footy in the afternoon.
They use our military as pin cushions for experimental vaccines and demoralise them when they don’t want to be used as guinea pigs.
How our men and women are treated in the Australian Military is atrocious.
The truth is gradually coming out about what our media and governments on all sides have been up to behind our backs, so brace yourself if you haven’t been down any rabbit holes.
….and I mean that sincerely

Editor said, “journalists with the monopoly of words.” So true, and yet, even after having our eyes opened wide these last few years, to the lies and manipulation of the Press, seemingly intelligent people are still believing and quoting the drivel they are presenting us with.
Look to the general character of a person before throwing stones. None of us are as pure as the driven snow! Should an enemy start attacking or bombing our country now, how quick you would be to call them heroes again!
“The Shrine” built in 1933 ( easy freemason type date to remember ) symbolises the “sacrifice” ( yes that’s what they like to call it ) of 18,000 who did not return, the flat top pyramid has an ornament of some sort where the Eye of Horus would normally be. Construction got a kick along from a royal visit, a crowd was “seeded” with shills and eventually up it went, originally visible from suburbs all around. Monash who was leading the push would presumably not be a freemason because he was a lapsed Prussian Jew but I can’t be sure.
“On September 22, 2021, during the sixth lockdown associated with COVID-19 pandemic, more than 1,000 demonstrators amassed at the Shrine of Remembrance as a place to gather and peacefully protest against mandatory COVID-19 vaccinations.The use of the war memorial for their protest was condemned, as was their behaviour at the event. In a statement, RSL Victoria said: “Under no circumstances, ever, should the Shrine be a place of protest. If any individuals or groups choose to express their political views, positions or ideological theories in the grounds of the Shrine at any time, they are completely disrespecting the sanctity of this time-honoured space.” Demonstrators were eventually removed by Victoria Police officers who employed non-lethal rounds and tear gas”.
Gazza said – “It is a certain type of person that wants a career that involves killing.”
In the absence of context, one could be forgiven for assuming you’re referring to Australian “medical professionals”, or maybe those hired mercenary goons who impersonate our “police”.
It is a certain type of person that wants a career that involves killing. They aren’t signing up to serve soup to the homeless.
Exactly right John the communist unions during WW2 had a lot to answer, particularly the wharfies. Ed
It is just another plank in Labors platform to destroy the military, copied from the Democrats in the US. Editor

When more people wake up out of their MK Ultra and become aware of the dark, demonic symbolism surrounding us, the fucker will be bulldozed like a lot of places around Australia….and the world for that matter.
There is a former Australian Prime Minister in this photo behind Maddie McCaines father in the light trousers …
They would rather us not focus on why they are all wearing ‘red shoes’
Warning!…it’s beyond disturbing
They would rather us not focus on why the 28 high profile pedophiles names have not yet been released
They would rather us not focus on the names on Epstein’s list
They would rather us not focus on why the cabal all tried to kill us off with a bioweapon injection and the very people we thought we could trust went along with this agenda.
….and it goes on and on
But hey! let’s find someone to ‘scapegoat’ and ‘blame’ for all ‘our sins’

I take your story at face value but I think the Melbourne Shrine of Remembrance should be shut down, it’s some kind of weird masonic sacrificial temple and some weirdos running the show must delight in seeing all the bereaved and maimed turning up every pre-dawn 11/11. I’m surprised a veteran hasn’t blown a big hole in it yet.
If they all just quit we wouldn’t be sending billions off shore somewhere for subs that’s only guarantee is they’ll be sunk by China. As a bonus we wouldn’t be getting ourselves nuked fighting yet another US war of aggression. This time in our own region with our biggest trading partner for Gods sake.
BRS’s conduct I’m Afghanistan is what is being scrutinised. As I understand things he is among a group is soldiers whose conduct is under scrutiny following allegations of unlawful conduct in Afghanistan. The Inspector General of the defence force opines very serious unlawful conduct occurred. This finding followed access to primary source documents and information from persons directly involved in the operations in which the alleged unlawful conduct occurred.
How are the activities listed in this article relevant to BRS’s alleged unlawful conduct in Afghanistan ?
The IGADF report and defamation trail raise many issues that are clearly in the public interest
Well I guess the chances of him seeing the light are bugger all in that case.
Demonisation of the Australian military ‘goes with’ the entire Marxist Agenda to brand associate traditional masculinity with toxic attitudes and bad behaviours.
So (of course) our war veterans and heroes are guilty of war crimes and no effort will be spared to put them in this frame.
The Long March of Subversion through all Western institutions has piled all in on this campaign and Big Jew on the MSM promotes this type of brand association right along with CoVID Correctness, the malpractice of Ivermectin horse paste for the spike protein (prion) diseases of the CoVID vaxx, Climate nutter Talk fests and Conflabs , Net Zero, evil carbon based life forms that expire and eliminate CO2, the history of Western nations as a history of satanism, racist colonial oppression, noble savage mythology and all the rest of the spew on the MSM.
The awaken know who the real enemy is…

No question we have patriots at the coal-face in the Australian military, just like we do in the wider Australian community.
Problem is, the arse-end of the circus is pulling all the strings and calling all the shots, in BOTH arenas, and they are clearly DETERMINED to drag us all down the S-Bend into the Luciferian New World Order.
I count around 15 higher ranks above Corporal in the military heirarchy, and once you get to Lietenant Colonel and beyond, then you’re a politician and further progress demands arse-kissing and goat-humping, all the way to the top, where we find the Globalist stooges writing the script. I could count the number of Colonels and above that I’ve personally met who IMO merited the rank on the fingers of one hand – the rest I wouldn’t even feed (and I’ve met many).
Corporal Robert-Smith’s experience is a case study, a symptom of our collapsing society. The fish rots from the head, as they say, and this fish is way beyond it’s BBD.
How do you remain a patriot when the entire edifice of “governance” has been usurped by traitors working for foreign interests determined to kill us all and steal the land out from under us? The foxes vs chickens metaphor comes to mind. Ain’t no progress happening until the foxes are removed, folks. Sorry, that’s just Nature at work. As Guru’s mob likes to say, “Stop the Rot, Sack the Lot”. And bulldoze the lot into the ground and start over from scratch with a CLEAN slate. Otherwise we’re just playing around with fish guts and wondering why things still smell so bad.
Good luck to the author with his commendable endeavours. Pity there wasn’t more patriotism in the Australian military when unarmed Australians were being threatened, terrorized, assaulted, shot, poisoned, starved, incarcerated, tortured and murdered by the foreign-owned armies of hired mercenaries impersonating “police” in every Australian state and territory. And still are, just BTW.
To question these soldiers and especially Ben Roberts Smith is a step too far for these questionable characters -we have had the SAS in anonymity protecting other soldiers in a war zone and protecting Australia and her citizens- I thank God for Ben Roberts Smith because if we had to depend on his accusers for protection we would be left vulnerable-this tall poppy syndrome is a new thing with soldiers and it shows the calibre of those in govt for allowing and promoting it and for the ADF leader Campbell not to support his troops is appalling but then again the Campbell name is synonymous with Glencoe and the sell out to the Brits by a Campbell of his fellow Scots
Compulsive reading by every Australian should be Australia’s Secret War by Hal Colebatch. It has some great facts about what the unions did to the soldiers both within and outside Australia while fighting in WW11. The ABC of course says the information is dubious and is based on inadequate – of course the ABC and its reporters would never lie or get sacked for lying to the Australian public. The ABC is controlled and run by unions of the communist party.
Patriotic servicemen committed to their own people and country have no place in the globalist agenda.
Imported stooges and thugs are much more likely to be obedient and enthusiastic at enforcing unpopular agendas.
That’s why we NOW have laws to enable their importation. All duly signed and delivered by our “patriotic” political swill representing everyone and anyone except the people they’re supposed to represent.
Whether it’s due to cowardice or treachery matters little.
It saddens me to see what has happened with Men and women who leave families and loved ones behind to go and do the Government’s directed activities overseas and then be ostracised by the forces here in both Media and Government. I was fortunate to wok beside some ex service people and learn the truth of the jobs they did in what was considered Non-active service but had their lives put at risk in various parts of the world that the government at times refuses to acknowledge and to provide benefits to.
What a man, what a hero, what a treasure! How can we help!?
