Once we get the VOICE, these welcome wagon eucapytus smokers will become official. Their services will be required for Australian undertakings, gatherings, meetings -perhaps even private functions at hired venues. etc. Any Box Ticker will be able apply for ceremonial rights to smoke out the White folks.
It will become something like a wedding celebrant only the Australians generally will get stuck with it.
If the Aboriginal Industry of Box Ticker anti-Whites want to make Aboriginal people actually detested in this country, they are going about it the right way. At this time, I would say most Australians want to see Aboriginal communities prosper and solve their social problems as we would like to solve ours in the larger community.

If you were born in Australia you are an Indigenous Australian and you do not need to be welcomed to your country.
When I served or went overseas I was welcomed back by my new commander or his/her representative or by Border Control staff.
I do not need to go to a function in Australia and welcomed by anyone be they councillors, state or federal politicians or any other person. This is my country.

I doubt there are many ceremonies I have not witnessed in the past fifty-two years but “Welcome to country” does not even make sense. Nobody in Aboriginal regions does this and when they do, a smoking ceremony is only to clear the area of spirits, invariably of the recently deceased.
My Landcruiser troopcarrier gets smoked regularly because it is often used to carry a coffin to the morgue or to the funeral ceremony. The words of the song are always the same and the leaves used are always Mayping, never eucalypt.
None of this is an element of these southern fraud’s make-believe farce. Governments that pay for this absurd theatrics should be prosecuted under Treasury Regulations for being complicit in fraud.

I have never seen any reference to Captain Cook receiving a welcome to country ceremony.
The attitude expressed in any paintings I have seen of the first arrival/comtact was more like: “Who the bloody hell are you?”
