Potential Amazon customers be warned, never give the company your bank details, they keep deducting money after the Amazon account has been closed.

Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is a fraud and once you sign on as a member he keeps your personal details and your bank account number and deductions keep going out of your bank even if you close the Amazon account.
In keeping with his shady character he is going to WEF meeting in Davos no doubt to advise big business how to rip off customers.
I closed my Amazon account on 1st January but they took more out a few days ago.
Previously they had debited my bank account every month for a year even though I purchased nothing during that period.

Therefore do not under any circumstances give Amazon any bank or personal details because they are crooks.
Trying to close an account with Amazon is almost impossible. Every obstacle you can think of is in the way. It took me lots of sessions on email, websites and online conversations with foreign employees to close the account.
Why deal with them at all? I realized my mistake and only deal local these days. My bank is unable to stop the deductions. There would be no hope of a refund.
Hopefully all your readers in Australia and around the world take notice of this Amazon fraud.

Tony Ryan43 I’m with iinet, have been for many years and not aware of any problems at all. I was way back ozemail and they got taken over by iinet but that address still remains as my address. It’s a massive exercise to change provider but you’ve made me concerned. Is it only when you left that the false deductions happened? Who are you with now and are you happy with them?!

I quite believe you, they are a bit like local councils, health providers, state governments, licensing authorities, banks etc anyone with their hand in your (digital) pocket. But they love you and only have your best interests at heart.Well they don’t actually have a heart but lets not go there.

Hey. With all this great advice being thrown around, it occurs to me that some of you could give me some guidance.
I want to get rid of the Commonwealth Bank. Sad, after fifty years, but they are just another criminal organisation now. I am thinking of perhaps a credit union or similar. This is unknown terrain for me. Any advice out there?

Please Brad, cancel your credit card, so that your credit card number cannot be used again and get the bank to re-issue a NEW credit card with a new number, new expiry date and a new CCV (or CVC) number.

Happened to me last week. My bank told me they have to deal with misappropriation by Amazon on a regular basis and refunded me. I’m keeping my eyes peeled for another hit next month!!!

Another sneak thief is iinet, previously known as Westnet of WA.
Westnet was an excellent company and I had an email account with them for years, but when iinet took over, the thuggery commenced and I got out. A year later they deducted $150 from my bank account which, after months of fighting, I got refunded. Now, a decade later, they pulled another $50 out. They refuse to refund until I provide invoice details, but there was no invoice.
The police told me they are just a little sloppy in their accounting. They refuse to prosecute these crimes so, clearly they are criminals too. The only justice available is to give it a few years for the trail to cool and then pay them a visit.
Law and order in Australia is dead. But then, you all know that. I am an atheist, but I will be joining Cardinal Vigano’s anti-globalist army. Am I going to be seeing you guys in the ranks?

Thanks Teresa we did suggest that and he says that is the only solution apparently. Ed

Closing your bank account is one avenue.
This is fraud so go to the police.
There is also an avenue for internet scams to be addressed that may be able to assist.
I’m currently having difficulty getting an Unsubscribe to work and I’ve been helped by a government internet assistance place before.

PS. Since closing my Amazon account they appear to have stopped deducting the monthly Amazon Prime fee.
But I will remain vigilant, just in case.
Excellent that someone brought this up.

Agreed Okchuck: Amazon signed me up to Prime without me knowing.
When I closed my unauthorised Prime Account, received an email saying account was closed, next month they still withdrew the monthly fee.
I closed my Amazon account: only way to stop their automated machine. Good riddance.
Amazon have been laying off loads of staff lately, so things are happening.

Could you close your account from where the money is deducted and open one with another bank not associated with the original ie a subsidiary.

Is this guy for real? Important details are missing, etc.
I use an Aussie Post Mastercard for internet transactions, if I run into trouble, I just go get another card, simples!

Sounds like “Amazon Prime.” They sign you up even though you check “NO” every time it pops up. Close the credit card and close the bank account. Let the bank know YOU are their customer, but that relationship is not a birthright. There are other banks. A royal pain in the arse? You bet. But it’s better than giving this NWOer your money.
