Gary…I still love my country, despite all the above happening, and that makes me all the more determined to fight for it.We have to get the good times back.
Yes I remember those days too. I remember when it all started in the early 1970’s with the globalisation agenda or International Socialism under the United Nations, in which all the rich and greedy grabbed everything on the pretense that they were going to “help the poor countries”. The only ones who were helped were the Communists, who copied the capitalist system, that has now destroyed itself by obscene greed by those who have become rich by the very system they are destroying. The only ones who seem to have any sense are Donald Trump and Putin. People need to realise that it was the battle between Free Trade and Protectionism that was the major topic when Federal Government was formed in 1901, and it still is. Alfred Deakin began as a young Free Trader and changed his mind later to become a Protectionist, with tariffs on all imported goods. Yes Free trade would work if everyone was honest, free from corruption at all levels, but what are the chances of that? Zilch.
What’s the answer? Be honest, no matter who you are.
It’s easy to make this country great again , just change our tax system so every one pays , no more overseas aid , no unmarried benefits after the first child and they have to name the farther , no pensions for politians after they leave parliament , get rid of al, the current banks and only have one bank owned by the people with all profits going back into building inferstructure like a direct rail line from Melbourne to cairns with a spur line going to Darwin with distribution hubs in Forbes nsw and Kingaroy Queensland . Rebuild our industrial base , refine and use our own fuel from the thousands of capped wells in Australia , build gas fired mini power stations , clean out every river and creek to hold water and drought proof Australia. , run a pile line from the table lands to Brisbane servicing every produce growing area in Queensland , run a pile line from Western Australia to broken hill and then to both Melbourne and Sydney to insure water supplies
