Chinese Government gets 100 year lease on airport for $1

from The Australian

China‘s communist government could soon own an Australian airport after paying just $1 for a 100-year lease on the land.

The state-owned China Southern Airlines partially owns Merredin Aerodrome, 260 kilometres east of Perth, and has control of the runways, hangars and the control tower.

However, this Chinese government company could soon own all of the country airport less than 25 years after it secretly paid the West Australian government $1 for a 100-year lease, The Australian reports.

Entrepreneur Dick Smith, who is also a former chairman of the Civil Aviation Safety Authority, said this was the first time a foreign power had owned an Australian airport.

China secretly paid the WA government $1 for a 100 year lease on Merreden Airport, 260 kl south east of Perth

‘It is outrageous that an Aussie pilot can’t go to a country airport without getting approval from the Chinese to land there,’ he said.

‘I’ve never heard of this happening anywhere.’

China’s biggest airline presently owns half of Merredin Aerodrome and may soon own the entire airport, despite recently shutting down its pilot training school because of safety concerns.

Anyone wishing to land at this airport must obtain permission from China Southern.

About Editor, cairnsnews

One of the few patriots left who understand the system and how it has been totally subverted under every citizen's nose. If we can help to turn it around we will otherwise our children will have nothing. Our investigations show there is no 'government' of the people for the people of Australia. The removal of the Crown from Australian Parliaments, followed by the incorporation of Parliaments aided by the Australia Act 1987 has left us with corporate government with policies not laws, that apply only to members of political parties and the public service. There is no law, other than the Common Law. This fact will be borne out in the near future as numerous legal challenges in place now, come to a head this year.

  1. How are people not in jail for this?

    • Because the Public Prosecutor is sleeping on the job. To busy covering the corrupt politicians arses. We never got a say in the Port of Darwin leased to China either. It is open slather and our National security and sovereignty has been violated. Who signed the lease paperwork on our behalf so that we can put the matter before the Senate?

  2. Again, this is treason. An awful lot of brown paper bags must have been handed around! It needs to be investigated.

  3. Can I sign up and by an airport for $1?
What the F@%$^ is going on in our country. Australians must be made aware of this.
How much of Australia is owned by foreign countries?
Can we purchase properties in China, Japan or other countries?
What are our politicians doing about this?

  4. REMEMBER, china, korea, russia, india and all muslim countries in the middle east, are NEVER our friends. Never were, never will be. They are INVADERS who want to weaken our Western values and way of life.

  5. this is the true definition of treason and invasion by a foreign power accept in this case it’s our own pollies selling us out to the highest bidder this is exactly why the US constitution was enacted to stop this sort of crap from occurring the second amendment is the corner stone of that once great democracy quickly becoming great once again thanks to president Trump we need our own version of Trump over here to drain the Australian swamp and restore the right s and freedoms of the Australian people not the foreign invaders buying up this country on penny’s on the dollar.
