BRUCE Gore continues his series on the book of Revelation and notes that it was originally addressed to seven churches in Asia Minor, today’s western Turkey.
“Each of the churches represented a condition of Christian fellowship in crisis, as each faced the prospect of imperial oppression from Rome,” says Gore.
“At the same time, the churches give insight into the conditions of the church throughout her history, and for this reason it is useful to consider the counsel offered by Jesus, through the Apostle John, to each of them.”
Although the existence of the seven churches is not disputed because their locations still exist today in archaeological ruins, they are sometimes taught as symbolic of churches down through history or as representations of types of churches that exist today.
Gore believes that the spiritual strengths or ailments of the seven churches can be seen as a litmus test for present-day churches. The address on YouTube is one of a series.

Whenever a new manuscript (MS) is discovered that can be accurately dated prior to the terminus post quem of an existing MS, and the content is the same in both witnesses, this in itself, reveals the antecedent source material for the existing text. This situation remains until the discovery of new evidence, which results with the appropriate amendments to the historical record. This is standard scientific procedure.

I stated that there could be only two possible reasons for rejecting or deflecting the facts I presented about both Futurism and Preterism being Jesuit inventions (Counter-Reformation lies attempting to overthrow Protestantism – therefore clearly false doctrine).
There is a third possibility, which escaped my attention at the time, (because I always speak from real Scripture as the only immutable Authority and from real proven history. I sometimes make the mistake of assuming others who argue doctrine actually believe Scripture is God’s Words).
I hadn’t stopped to think that many readers will have already rejected this whole principle, yet claim to be believers – hence making my comments irrelevant in their minds.
Here is the crunch – the Jesuits have been at work on their Counter-Reformation programme for about 500 years, with such eventual success that most ‘Christians’ today who think they are ‘Evangelical’ or ‘Protestant’ are really Roman Catholic in mindset (they have the mark of the Roman beast “in their foreheads” – they think Roman Catholic (based on ‘Tradition’) as opposed to ‘Protestant’ (based on Scripture alone).
Such ‘believers’ are not believers in the Biblical sense: i.e. they are not really Bible believers. They may believe some things the Bible says but are happy to entertain contradictory opinions as well! They have no fear of God, but are presumptuous, spruiking their own opinions or the opinions of other men, as if those opinions have authority – this is fanciful – only Almighty God has authority, as He is the Author of all creation.
Rome is officially based on the (corrupt) ‘authority’ of Tradition and Magesterium – Scripture gets a mention but it is not the real authority, the Church is! Hence Rome reserves the right to accept, reject, contradict, alter, add to, edit, and override Scripture (it’s why we have hundreds of differing ‘Bible’ versions). This position not only contradicts Scripture but contradicts itself.
Hence as all the Protestants knew that the Pope, who stands in the place of Almighty God, and claims the right to override Scripture, is revealed as the very Antichrist.
Michael, doctrine does not evolve and change over the years, as Popery claims, it is established Truth, from Scripture alone, and was set down by Christ and the apostles, never to be added to or changed, without the promises of the awful judgment of God on the perpetrator. Don’t take my word for it. Read the Bible (King James Version).
Therefore all so-called new doctrine or alternative doctrine is just plain lies.
You need to consider whether you are following Christ (by following Scripture) or following the Roman Antichrist. Beware, the “mark” is evident. You either have the “mind of Christ”, which Paul said believers have, or the mind of Popery, which allows for ever-changing doctrine and ever-changing ‘bibles’.

Michael Slavanos, the proof of both Jesuit, Counter-Reformation schemes of “interpretation” (forbidden by Scripture), both Futurism and Preaterism, as I have already stated, is in the plain undeniable facts of history which every honest person can verify. If you have not seen it, as you claim, there can only be two possible explanations:
1. You haven’t looked (even though I laid it all before you);
2. You don’t want to admit it.
This is nothing new to me in over 40 years’ experience in such matters. Very few want to know the truth, and many of those are, no doubt, Jesuit plants (or at least, plants trained by Jesuits).
The Truth is not difficult: it is receiving the Truth that sorts out the sheep and the goats.

Michael Slovanos comments: Trevor W Sullivan, whether or not preterism has substance rests on history and scripture together, not what a Jesuit wrote. Perhaps that Jesuit you cite had some historical insight to the time of John’s writing of Revelation? That’s all that counts. In fact I have heard it said that Darby’s dispensationalism originated with the Jesuits, although I haven’t seen any evidence of that.
The reason why civilisation is recorded starting around India and such latitudes is because the ice-age didn’t affect the equator so badly, everyone far from the equator would have died off on some particularly harsh winter. The melting of an ice-wall is presumed to have led to stories of a great deluge, for example from the Caspian Sea, Black Sea or wherever there was an ice-wall holding back a body of water.
People of faith need not give up their faith in the philosophies of Jesus or some of the stuff in books of Revelations and Daniel. Take a more austere approach, go minimalistic, you don’t need to swallow the entire bible whole, that’s limiting yourself to someone else’s version of the truth, the someone else people have their own motivations and have been known to burn people at the stake for disagreeing.

This was exactly the case when the Serpent tempted Eve 6,000 years ago (Genesis 3). God had already told Adam everything needful to him, including a strict prohibition against eating of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, but for the distracted mind of Eve, mystery from the Devil was more attractive than plain Truth and life itself! – hence, all that followed in the misery and destruction of all the earth for 6,000 years and ongoing, which was the due penalty (“death” – i.e. separation from God and His blessings, both temporal and eternal).
I know that very few read the Bible, but it would be interesting to know, of those who do, how many only read it, (or bits of it, or some perverted writings that falsely claim to be ‘the Bible’), only to feed their own lust for fantasy.
In the end it won’t matter, because all who approach God’s Words with such frivolity and blasphemy in their hearts will receive no benefit from it, and will be justly committed to the “fire (that) is not quenched” (Mark 9) which Jesus warned about.
Only those whom God has given “an honest and good heart” (Luke 8) have the right attitude to approach God’s Words with reverence and fear, and receive His blessing.
