So who has the heart and stomach to watch animals bleed to death and die in pain as a matter of convenience and alleged economic expedience?

How inhumane to leave them to suffer! The NSW gov must stop this bloodbath!
I’ve always thought of Brumbies for their beauty & majestic presence; and their free-spirited nature of freedom, strength & independence. Usually the Brumby horse inspires awe & wonder. They were used as war horses (Australian Light Horse) during World War I, with a lively spirit blazing in its eyes 🐎
Brianajnz makes a VERY good statement. These animals die in shock & pain.
I was told a story out in western Qld back in the 70’s of when the government decided to have a pig cull the proof of the kill was a pigs snout so when it came to getting paid the shooters could take their putrid bag full of snouts to a Bush Police station .
Problem was that after a few weeks in the hot sun the pigs snouts had an aroma worth spewing so the Cop declined to count them and made a mistake of asking these bushmen how many were in each bag instead of counting them himself and paid out the bounty so one bloke with a lot of bush tuition went to town and bought up every dried apricot he could find because they look very similar to pigs snouts after he had pokes 2 holes in them with a pencil and added them to his next tally of putrid snouts to be cashed in at the Police station until he came unstuck when he met a new Cop straight out of the city who did everything by the book and demanded they all be seen to be counted and upon closer inspection the bushy got done for his dodgy dealings .
The same sort of Cop who would book cars for being parked too far away from the gutter in bush towns .
This is why many people hate these supposed human beings! I can’t even stand looking at the photo of that poor beautiful horse – Bloody insanity – Cruel bastards – somehow somewhere All those who did this must get slammed with some big time karma plus more for everything else they’ve done.
What the fools in government should be made aware of is that the high country horses are a valuable asset due to their strong legs and should be mustered each each to be camp drafted to choose the best looking yearlings to be then broken in to be used by the Police and other government agencies that use horses and the reason being that they being strong legged they have less injuries .
Jules Christie one of Victoria’s then top horsewomen told mum and I when we stayed with her at her Healesville home a few years ago that many horses are so finely bred they lack strength in their legs and are prone to going lame so I suggested using brumbies and she totally agreed .
I reckon it would be worth petitioning the King for a Royal protection order .
I will see what I can do .
All sorts of goats camels kangaroos and what-have-you get shot and left for the crows and flies to eat, if you’re going to fly around in your helicopter and shoot things you should use the carcass otherwise you’re a thrill killer
It is time to shoot the shooters since they have no love for animals.
Someone who really cares about nature (instead of those who say one thing and mean another….politicians), should show up the killers for the faceless mean spirited pigshit that they are.

Do the horses die instantly?
Are some dying sometime later?
Farmers have been fined for cruelty to stock.
Citizens are done for cruelty to pets – dogs.
Is the average citizen allowed to shoot his dog.
What if the dog takes a while to die.
The whole thing is a hypocrisy.
So sad, why don’t many politicians speak out about this a put a stop to it = because they agree to do as they are told by the Party. Such wanton slaughter is disgusting. Out governments are weak & spineless
