Help Australian Christian Lobby fight whacky Victorian Transtifa brigade

MYKA Sanders, a biological male teacher, is suing a Catholic girls’ school in Melbourne because they won’t call him “Mx” or use “they/them” pronouns. 

This is the thin edge of the totalitarian wedge to force ideological speech on populations and to censor “politically incorrect” speech that offends the neo-Marxist cultural revolution.

“This isn’t about one teacher’s feelings. This is about whether the children in your life could be punished for telling the truth,” says Michelle Pearse of the Australian Christian Lobby. 

Sanders teaches at Sacred Heart Girls’ College which respectfully uses his chosen name but draws the line at pronouns that deny biological reality and contradict scripture itself: “Male and female He created them” (Gen 1:27). 

When Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) initially refused, the teacher, supported by the teachers’ union, sued. Victoria’s militant Socialist Left (cultural Marxist) faction of the Labor Party pushes transgender ideology down the throats of Victorians.

The ACL says this isn’t an isolated case. A June 2025 survey by the Teachers’ Professional Association of Australia found 96.8% of teachers oppose transgender surgery for children – yet 69.5% are being pressured to violate their beliefs and push this ideology. 

ACL has provided various online links and addresses for Australians to help stop the indoctrination and fight the case in court.

“This is exactly why ACL exists. And because of faithful supporters like you, we can stand with MACS in this fight and make a difference,” says Ms Pearse.

The union initially took MACS to Victoria’s Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT). But MACS successfully argued the case can’t be heard there because VCAT has no jurisdiction to determine the Constitutional issues at play. 

“In this case, the question is whether a Victorian school is protected by much stronger federal protections for religious schools or if they need to rely on limited protections in Victorian Equal Opportunity legislation,” says Ms Pearse.  

“Now the case has been referred to a magistrate’s court, and is expected to go ultimately to the High Court. MACS will be arguing that federal law protections should take priority if there is a clash with state law. 

“If state law wins, it sets a precedent that may result in catastrophic outcomes for Christian schools: 

• Weak state laws could take priority over federal religious freedom protections 
• Christian schools nationwide may lose the right to uphold biblical teaching 
• Students may face discipline for refusing to deny reality 
• Teachers who contradict a school’s faith mission may in many cases not be removed 
• Parents have less choice of faith-based education that reflects their values 

The ACL says in NSW, it’s even worse. Under new ‘self-ID’ laws that took effect in July, 496 biological men have already legally become ‘women’ via a 15-minute form and $70. No surgery. No safeguards. No limits. 

“Some 85% of NSW residents opposed this – but the government ignored them. 

“These men now access women’s change rooms, sports, prisons, and shelters – any female-only space. 

“Acting Premier, Ryan Park, said transferring a male murderer to a women’s prison was “not acceptable.” Yet these new laws make this legal.” 

The ACL says this battle matters because adult Australians’ granddaughters may find themselves sharing change rooms with biological males, losing sporting opportunities or being punished for stating biological facts. 

“God’s Word exhorts us: “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it” (Proverbs 22:6). But schools are actively undermining this sacred duty of parents, teaching children that truth is bigotry and biology is hate speech,” says Ms Pearse. 

The ACL lists its methods of fighting back as the following:

• Lobbying politicians to uphold religious freedoms and amend freedom limiting laws 
• Holding government accountable to promises that federal protections won’t be weakened 
• Mobilising 250,000+ Australians to repeal dangerous self-ID laws 
• Exposing truth about gender ideology’s harms 
• Equipping parents to protect their children

The Victorian branch of the Australian Education Union is dominated by Green-Left ideologues who push “climate action”.

“Extreme weather events, including flooding, cyclones, bushfires, and prolonged heatwaves, are increasingly forcing schools, early childhood centres and TAFEs to close and displacing students,” the leftist clowns recently claimed in a press release.

“Teachers and students are on the frontline of climate change. Every time a school early childhood centres or TAFEs is closed because of extreme weather, students’ learning is disrupted and communities are thrown into crisis,” the AEU deputy federal president Meredith Peace said.
